My brother lives in livingston, and my first cousins son played on the champ team back in 04-05. I raised my children in Mcminnville and my grandkids play there.. Sad affairs.. I've watched livingston 4 times this year, and they've steadily improved all year.. 2 things here.. 1. If both teams bring the defensive wood, livingston will come out on the short end of this one. Their defense isn't good enough to continually contain all the weapons that MC has. However, that d is playing better. They are VERY young. 2. If, this becomes a shootout, and it very well could, I think this is one of the only team outside of Fulton that can score with MC. Linder will get his yards. He will have 150-200. Obviously the QB for MC is MUCH better than the kid at livingston. Livingston CAN throw it and they have capable receivers. I see this being close until mid 3rd. Then there will be a big play, turnover, heartbreaker, something, whichever team makes that play will pull away. I'm gonna say it'll be MC. They will intercept a pass and take it to the house.. 45-28 MC. Also, why is MC on probation?

Has nothing to do with the kids, or anybody at the game, but it absolutely has to do with the arrogance you and others portray on this board. Also, for the Alcoa fan, you can't beat em, so you join em mentality? c'mon man. Maybe cookeville gets beat by 1000, maybe cookeville knocks off the great mary. Either way, I will bet, I will do a monetary bet, or I will do a ban bet. whichever you choose, but i say that if, IF mary wins, it won't be by more than 10.

I'll tell you mary fans what I will do. i will bet any of you that if, and that is a BIG if, you win, it won't be by more than 7-10. My guess is you are about to get shocked at how "great" your team is. the problem with the folks over there is the arrogance that is on full display. It's almost like ya'll play the games, or that you have done something to be arrogant. I have never had one issue with mary, and or it's fans until this year, but I hope Cookeville comes in there and runs roughshod all over you. Obviously you have the best coach in the state, and maybe the country, but the talent isn't what it usually is in that great system. If you watched the game with WC and don't think the boys in black struggled, then there is no point discussing anything with ya. I don't give a spit who does it, I just hope somebody beats the arrogance outta yuns.

This much I'll say. Everybody thinks it's funny that warren county played Mary as well as they did, which wasn't great but. This ain't Mary of old. There are a lot of chinks in their armor. In fact, they struggled to run the ball with their all pros. Their QB was and is dinged up, and they put the ball on the ground.... A lot. In a shocker, cookeville 42 Mary 35.

This I will promise you. Our boys will be there, and they will give all they have. No, it probably won't be enough and they will probably get ran out, and maryville will probably win going away, but our guys will fight. This team is progressing, just doesn't have the talent needed. Speed is our biggest issue.. My grandson starts, and I can tell you he is not fast enough to hang with the boys he's playing against, but he and most of his teammates will not quit. Doesn't matter what the score is they continue to fight like they know they should.. I'm coming over there and look forward to it..

This is an absolute atrocity and abomination by the t$$aa. They are idiots letting this game go. Last night a very good, very well coached team from Murfreesboro buried us. My grandson said they were never out of position and were extremely physical and fast. I've been told and I believe this maryville team will be better coaches, more physical but not as talented. I just hope we leave there with neither team getting injured. We've been out coached and out played all year, and it looks like that trend will continue. Scary but at least our boys will get to see what a great program looks like.

That Blackman team is a real good team.

Dctiger, you should worry about that great, wonderful program y'all have over there. Nobody in WC cares what you think. It's been a tough year for these kids.

I think pioneersports is correct. My grandson plays and this is what he told me. He also said the players really like the coaches and felt like they were going to win, then when things started going south, people slowly started to fold up shop. It's sad for the seniors on this team, but hopefully they can regroup and come back next year and have a better year. I just don't see how it can be better from a win/loss perspective. Tough to win more than one game. My grandson is a sophomore and he said he would be surprised if they win 3 games total the rest of his high school career. I will say this. He ain't said anything badabout coaches. He seems to like them. But on Friday night it looks very disorganized. Very hectic and very crazy. I should say my grandson doesn't play much at all. He's not there yet physically but he should be next year.

Absolutely outmanned, out coached, out classed. The kids have quit. I don't know if they quit on the coaches, or just in general. You know from getting beaten rather soundly week after week. Also, I hear there is a LOT of division amongst players. Some in one camp and the rest in another.

Somebody tell me why this kid ain't getting no burn from big time programs especially the SEC? This kid is special. He is legit 4.5 and possibly 4.465, which puts him on par with any back in the SEC. He is 5'10" and about 185. What am I missing here?

I this is kind of the point poster above was trying to make. Could see a scenario where each team would be ok with losing and traveling to murrville rather than science hill. Especially since spurrier is moving in to become their offensive coordinator!

What's the problems off the field? Listen, I'm not a coach and never have been but not sure you gotta be a coach to see if kids are getting good coaching. When there are coaching issues it shows itself in penalties, putting the ball onthe ground and dropped passes. Y'all can blame it on the kids, and no, they aren't the most gifted, but they're better than they are getting.

Ok. Guess it's just a bunch of no talent terrible kids. Need to just go ahead and shut the program down. Why do we even hire a coach? So to the poster above, is it coaching or no? You say no coach could win, and then say gotta find a coach who can win with this "type" of player. Which is it?

I've been watching warren county football a very long time. Nobody is going to win with the talent level where it is as opposed to the teams we are playing. In saying that, it looks as if the team, especially the players have "mailed" it in. They looked disinterested Friday night, and coffee county looked interested. It seems to me that other staffs simply coach circles around our staff. I don't know the new coach but 8 games in and he appears to be really over his head. I've heard from my grandson there is no discipline, and the kids run practice. I've heard it's terribly bad on the offensive side of the ball. But if you watch the games you realize how poorly coached these kids are. Oh well, another year with 1 win. Until the admin decides to hire a competent coach, the losses will continue to pile up. Good thing for this coach, nobody cares if they win or lose.
