No, if programs have work study, they were required to go D2. There were several schools above 1A who left D1 for D2. Most notable being CPA.

Hey Wildcat! It's been a long tough season. Ive been keeping up with WC and glad to hear y'all are getting healthy at playoff time. The ruling on privates as I understand it is that a school cannot offer work study programs and remain in division 1. There is at least one other private school team that I know of who did not move to D2 and that is Columbia Academy. I hope WC stays healthy and makes a run. Good luck!

I suppose you are one of those stats only guys. There are four or five teams in this division who have multiple backs capable of 2500 yard seasons. Half the teams in this division are glorified middle school teams, so that whole stat thing just doesnt hold water. I cant speak about the other two, but I have seen Myers and Hewitt. Myers is the harder tougher runner.

Dude, maybe you know something we dont. Did they scrimmage each other? Sorry, if they did that doesnt count. Did they play against each other in camp or in a backyard pickup game? Again, that doesnt count. Please enlighten us or get off the meds.

My two cents, which might not be worth a dime, haha! Myers was more impressive in the DA NCS matchup than Hewitt was. CFA fan even states in his post that Hewitt has a great passing game to keep Ds honest. And he is correct in saying that everyone knows Myers is getting the ball. The thing that decides it for me is yardage after contact. Hewitt took what the defense gave him in that game. Myers took the defense with him on many plays.

No, I got in trouble for playing darts in a bar and I can be arrested if I get within 10 yards of a dart, and I played and coached in the lingerie league a few years back.

Lil Ray was a quarterback and point guard gone to Blackmon, Big Chris, lineman went to Hillwood, Trey, lineman went to Ensworth, Chandon Page, lineman went to Pearl Cohn, Josse, safety, went to Hillsboro, Wilhoite of course went away this year. There are others. These are most notable. Chandon, Trey, Chris and Lelan would make a team infinitely better. Of course Joseph Dyer just chose not to play, and Crosby is a Huge loss.

Their run game was fantastic. Their passing game was fantastic. DA is a great team. We didnt coach well enough to beat them.

I personally know of a case where an all state player who has offers fron OVC schools was told he should just enjoy playing his senior year and count on this being the end of his football playing days. I know of letters being sent to NCS and not given to kids. I have heard him personally tell parents and kids not to attend camps. They are frowned upon at NCS. The kid who has offers from OVC schools has gotten his offers through camps- Brothers has not done a blank thing to help him! Brothers followed a pipeline of talent to NCS. Do you think he brought his dismal record from PJP and everyone followed? HAHA! State champ was won by players, not him. He is the reason we dont have the two best backs in the league. He ran the other one off. He cant communicate with parents in ways that make them want to leave their kids there. A state championship team could be built from the players who have left NCS in the last 4 years.

Benchriderscoach, you come here running that mouth to a team that I told you and will still tell you coud rollDCA by 3 scores. We are still heavily in the hunt. The last time I had an exchange with you and was speaking confidently of our team, we had Wilhoite, another two way starting lineman and the best def coordinator in D2 football. We have lost all of that and I make no claims about being tops in our league. The one thing I do know is DCA aint. !@$!

I guarantee you that I and many other dads know something about our team that you dont know. I dont know of a football dad who has much respect for him. He won a championship two years ago with one of the best teams 1A football has ever seen. HE didnt win it, the players did. Coaches need to realize what they have on their team and run things that put their athletes in a position to succeed. They also need to realize players limitations and stay away from situations that give them zero chances to succeed. He is a terrible evaluator of talent, he is terrible at game prep, he is absolutely the worst at discipline and cleaning up sloppy play, he is terrible at keeping players on the team, and he gets out-coached in every game he loses. Everyone who knows anything about football and has seen his teams knows it.

I miss those 1A boards. Oddly enough, I bet they miss us! Yes, these are the games you look forward to and remember. It is really a playoff game of sorts between these two teams, with the loser losing homefield advantage.
