I'll go ahead and make a prediction, not about the score, but about the complainers. We have our share as well as others. If this game, or any other game this Friday is within 10 points, the losing teams will have fans on here going balistic. There are even some dilusional fans who go nuts when they get mercy ruled.

This is pretty funny stuff! You have beaten who you were supposed to beat by large margins. Everyone else who made it to the final four has done pretty much the same thing. You have played one team who everyone thought might give you a challenge and all that happened was that they gave you the ball instead, and were quite unhealthy at the time. It's way too early to be saying the things you are saying. You havent made it to the semi-finals yet and you're claiming best ever in 1A? Funny, funny stuff! NCS had a great team last year. A magnificent team!! But there is no way that I would say that we were better than UC in 2014, or maybe even Huntingdon in 2012. You gotta learn to take one game at a time, one year at a time and let the record speak for itself. Everyone knows the Lions are good, so dont come on here trying to make it sound like you all are the disrespected under dogs. Most were picking you pre-season favorites, so that whole rant just doesn't work. Win one and then bask in the glow. All this stuff here is mindless, useless chatter. Your team cant go back to play the UC team from 2014. If it could, you would be a little, no, a lot humbled. In the words of Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

I have no idea what caused the turnovers. I doubt they have that many again. Not only the number of turnovers, but the place on the field where they occured. Doesnt seem like Dresden had to do much to win that game.

I guess some folks just dont understand football. He takes on two sometimes three blocks each play, and makes ways for everyone else to make plays. If you have anyone on your team who requires double-teaming for the whole game, it doesnt matter what else he does. He is a stud!

We NCS folks pay much attention to games when the powers in the west play each other. We really dont have much of a way to gauge how good everyone is because of the lack of common opponents. My thought after the regular season matchup between Dresden and UC was that there was not much that could be taken away from that game. No discredit to Dresden, but it seems that UC gave them that game. How good is UC now? I have to think they will be more competitive than last time. The big question is, how good is Dresden? I dont think anyone really knows. If they had beaten UC by that much with UC not turning the ball over, things might be a little more clear.

The officiating crew certainly had some blunders last night. I can assure you they were consistently bad for both teams. I saw holding all night long on your pulling linemen. The pass interference call against us was atrocious. Watch it on Hudl. The receiver clearly pushes off to get separation. If we were the type of folks to buy officials, it wouldnt have been that crew.

Bass, you are right. I knew our game would be somewhat tight, but I thought WC would pull out a little more on Gordonsville. That's not a knock on WC, it's just how playoff football can go. There is no secret that NCS has had some trouble with misdirection offenses in the past. I suspect the Huntingdon coaching staff did a great job of film study of our semi-final losses to them in 2012 and Union City in 2014.

There were Gordonsville people telling NCS girls that they needed to stay on their side of the field and not use the restrooms or concession stands. There is nothing wrong with a competitive, intimidating atmosphere, but this was over the line. Terrible place to have a football game.

NCS will have to play much smarter and way more focused to hang with WC. We knew Huntingdon was going to get their yards and points last night. What kills us every game is our lack of discipline and shooting ourselves in the foot with motion, holding and blocking penalties.

Congratulations to one of your fans who slashed his own buddy's tires. School officials witnessed it, got the tag number. I heard cops were waiting for him when he got home.

This was an incredible game with two hard-nosed teams going tooth and nail. Huntingdon players, you all played valiantly and gave everything you had. I dont remeber seeing another team fight that hard. Congratulations on a great season.

There wouldn't be any high school football without the veterans! We'd be watching our boys play some English, Japanese or German sport, or more than likely, we just flat out wouldnt exist.

What type of qb is 44? Is he primarily a runner? How much does he put it up? We didnt get to see him last year.

As long as our defense plays the way it has been playing, we can get by with a few sputters on offense. If someone cracks our D, it's a different game.

Mr. larah is right. The QB can get a little tunnel vision at times. He sometimes seems to favor a particular receiver even when 28 is wide open downfield.

Well, all I can say is that perhaps you have just lost touch with how your former team plays. Win by 21???? Dude, that is FLAT for us. Our defence has no business giving up 21 to that team. They should have scored one time late against our second team. Play calling is always an issue. That's a given, but if you dont understand the impact that an SEC noseguard has on the field in 1A football, you arent a student of this game. Not, to mention our second best lineman and our best tail back. Hey Huntingdon, do you think you have a better chance of winning with your two best lineman and tailback in the game? I know you do. You say your son played against Huntingdon. If he played defense, Im sure he remembers Warbritton. If Huntingdon didn't have that kid, they might have still won, but they wouldnt have been as good. Sorry man but 8 starters and three subs does not equal 11 starters with a MR Football semi finalist on the field.

Orangeeagle, seems like a hidden agenda going on here. I don't care if it was a twenty one point swing. If we have our normal starting lineup in, we mercy rule that team. When you take away a back like Willhoite, and the two best linemen on the team,you don't play as well. If you don't think that hurt us, maybe you aren't much of a student of the game. When your best players are out, you suffer. Just ask Butch Jones. They ran 5 and six yards at a time right where Brant would have been. I'd argue all night long with you but its a waist of my time in whatever Your obviously pre planned agenda is.
