They wouldn't.... I'm not saying maryville isn't good, but week in week out they don't play the athleticism and talent that the d2 schools have. The equalizer for maryville is GQ he is one of top coaches on nation by far

the winner of the D2 2A state championship will be the best in state any way you want to look at it so..

This will be an offensive explosion with both these teams having high octane passing spread offenses with tons of great athletic skill players

Here are my thoughts from being there: Whitehaven just lost to a bunch of undersized kids with one main athlete who basically won the game for them. Ravenwood had virtually no run game all night except for a couple of plays and the Whitehaven front dominated. As for the Whitehaven offense it might be some of the worst play calls I've ever seen... You have huge receivers that can go up and get the ball and you didn't throw it to them? The run game gets stuffed and you don't adjust to and continue to get stuffed.. Also the penalties hurt them but in the end both of these teams were playing for 2nd place in 6A

i agree with everything but one thing... ensworth went over to mba and almost beat mba the last regular season game.. i think if BA can get up by 14+ its over the mba qb cant beat BA by throwing the ball

how good is rhea county's defense? can they match up with the bears high octane passing attack and atheletes?

the only team that could dominate Alcoa's dline is BA. Their Oline this year is insane

how is oakland one of the 2 best in the state? They barely got by Smyrna and Oakland beat Blackman by 14 and Maryville beat Blackman by 35. Oakland will be beat by at least 20 by Maryville.Also, the top 3 in the state rn are BA Maryville and Indy

This one should be good BA blew MBA out at home in mid October and both of these teams have improved since then with both having good offensive and defensive play. If BA can contain Chandler then BA has a good shot. What are y'alls thoughts on this game and who wins and why?

I can understand about ravenwood, but oak ridge, Hendersonville and Farragut all lost. How can 3 teams not even playing anymore this season be in the top 10 in the state? and Christian brothers is for real this year they might pull off an upset friday

and what happened to that siegel team in the semi's? they lost to better coached and talented team in maryville

Ok Yall independence would not beat maryville or any of the top 4 teams from d2... They have never seen the skill that those teams have overall as a team... I'll even venture to say that they might not even beat Whitehaven with all of their athletes that they have.. I'm not saying they are not a solid team, but #1 in the state idk about that

ehhh idk the last time ravenwood lost at home was in 2013 to a jajuan Jennings led blackman squad. ravenwood will probably have a good plan for containing Mitchell so it should be an interesting game I think!!

I have to go with ravenwood in this one.. Hester is a proven winner and it is at ravenwood and they have a very good student section that is loud in big games. imo Hester has done an exceptional job this season coaching with all the guys he lost last year and still being able to go deep into the playoffs. also, ravenwood has by far one of the most underrated players in the state in Chris Rowland who is utilized well in their spread attack. I think Mitchell will get his, but it wont be enough score prediction: Ravenwood 35 White Station 21

I know that Sevier county runs a spread offense, but is an air raid attack or spread to run? whos does it resemble at the college level? I have saw they have put up a great deal of points this year with the insane skill position players they have on offense and have wondered what they do. Also, what defense does Sevier county run?
