they have 1 kid that can break the press regularly without turning it over. Don't wanna hurt any feelings but facts are facts. Sammy needs develop a press offense because #1 is the only one that can dribble thru a press. And maybe #3. But the rest are turnovers or bad shots waiting to happen when they get rushed and in panic mode besides meadows which he doesn't bring it up

i agree. Grace has some nice pieces. Just need to get them to gel with each other. It also looked like a couple of kids were shocked at the atmosphere

grace never got it to 5. The closest they got it to was 9 and Meigs had the lead to 17 and 19 a couple times..... I personally don't like when Sammy tries to slow it down because that's not what those boys know and it always gets teams back in the game. They got the lead by playing ball they way they know how and that's what he should let them do. Just my opinion. And once again our press offense tries to rear its ugly head. He's got to get a press offense

it was very ugly!!! However in Meigs defense there leading scorer had an ankle the size of a basketball and was very limited. And it was a game he had a chance to have a huge game as the guy that was guarding him would have had a huge mismatch

i love the way Meigs responded to the physicality yesterday gotta believe they ride that momentum today with a wire to wire win. I say Meigs by 10

Oakdale loses by almost 40??? Looks like there schedule caught up to em. I still think they win district 4 tho with coalfield and Wartburg a close 2nd

baylor and mccallie are allowed to recruit. So not quite understanding your statement.... It's not like they just ran teams off the court. Baylor boys lost mccallie only won by 13 and Baylors girls won in a nail biter. It's a tournament for Christ sake. Baylor and mccallie both play in the private school division so I don't see your issue

Lil ol single a Meigs just lost a heartbreaker to big bad big private Baylor. Couple questionable calls and the lady tigers win that game. Great game in the best of preps. Definitely the two best teams in it

bradley also beat Hardin valley and walker valley who maryville lost to. I have tremendous respect for maryville a program but give some respect Bradley is a little bit more than decent. In my honest opinion I think they make it to atleast substate.... Basketball has everything to do with match ups and especially high school basketball you can go out and play awesome one night and stink up the gym the next

Bradley is in first place in 5aaa. Maryville lost to the 3rd best team in 5aaa. Bradley is a very good team who plays very very hard. Cleveland will also be a force in 5aaa and I could see them winning 5aaa athleticism all over the floor. Gotta rebound and stop fouling tho.

I mean they also lost to walker valley who is a good team but has 6 losses and lost pretty handily to them. So if I was calling a team mediocre at best it would be maryville

you sure you know basketball??? Clay beat Hardin valley pretty good and if that makes them mediocre then what does that make maryville since your making your basis off of them who lost to Hardin valley.... Clay is just as good as maryville or any other team around regardless of classification

neither team had football players in that matchup with maryville so that's not a very good judge of what sevier is now.

I understand what you're saying but Meigs played Clinton twice in two days. That's 4 halfs of basketball and Clinton was in the double bonus in every half then all of a sudden in the 2nd half of the championship game AT Clinton they only commit 1 foul the entire second half? However, Meigs should have played better and not even put themselves in that situation....... Keep us updated on how grace does tonight. Hope y'all represent district 3 well and I know y'all will

youre exactly right we will see what the kids are made of now! I don't think I've ever heard of a basketball game with the fouls being so lopsided. 15 fouls on Meigs and only 1 on Clinton??? Meigs by no means played there best this entire tournament but that doesn't give the officials the right to control the outcome of the game.....Meigs is a resilient bunch they will bounce back and who knows maybe a loss was good for this bunch to let them know they can be beat.

I sure hope so. Definitely ugly basketball today but they made the plays when they had to. That's what separates good teams and great teams. Great teams still win when they play bad

no it was about the same for Meigs because they played no defense today. Didn't rebound, didn't move their feet, didn't rotate, and we have absolutely no press offense...... They flat out lived off of talent of being able to score the basketball today.

I've read a lot of scouts that said he was the #1 player and whether they're #5 or #10 that's very a impressive for east to have them on the ropes like that. East is one of the best high school teams in the country. I watched them at the boro last year and was highly impressed
