Alright let the fun begin!!! Does anyone know why this 8-team league doesn't do the double bye? I noticed a lot of 8 district teams heavily value the regular season this district does not...... Station Camp vs. Gallatin ----Gallatin Beech vs. Lebanon --- I feel might be one of the better games tonight! Lots of seniors for beech they tend to show up around this time of year. Will be a close game I got Lebanon Portland vs. Mt. Juliet --- Portland has been more competitive this year. Mt. Juliet will win this game. Wilson Central vs. Hendersonville-- Should also be a good game. I just think Hendersonville will shoot the ball well and win this game.

Lining up great for East. Might not have to leave their own gym until playing in the Burro!!

My first Round Picks ---Not an easy tournament to pick... Literally anyone can beat anyone.....TRUTH Heritage vs. Cheatham County-------Believe Cheatham had the big upset last year......don't see it this year I got Heritage Greenbrier vs. Westmoreland-------Westmoreland seems to be playing better (based on scores). They are the Home host...Will be a close game, but I got Greenbrier White house vs. Sycamore------White House has beat Sycamore the last two years in the tournament on their run to the championship game.....Will probably be an exciting close game.....I got the Blue Devils Good Luck to all, let the REAL SEASON begin......

been a while. I see everyone is evenly matched. Other than probably finishing the regular season as the 1 and 2 seed....One can look at the scores and clearly see that it is not CLEAR they are 1&2 as harpeth has won 3/4 games by less than 3 points. Anyone can win this district tournament and should be a good tournament. I will be looking forward to it as I follow district 9AA and 9AAA.... Good Luck to all, Don't count out White House, I have seen them compete with some of the better teams around here --they always seem poised to make tournament run...... Long hard drive for all the cheatham teams. Kind of a shame :/ See everyone at tourney time when i make my predictions!!!!

1) White House - their district to lose based on the scores I have seen, and the eye test....(seen white house, seen heritage, seen greenbrier, seen harpeth) 2/3/4 - Cheatham, Heritage, Greenbrier (any order) 5- harpeth 6/7 - Westmoreland, Sycamore (any order)

District starts this week for some. Looking forward to the Mt. Juliet/Lebanon game Friday. Big game to determine who might just win the regular season district this year. Portland getting their first test against The Blue Devils of White House to see if they are truly looking to make a move in this district- they have had a good start. Im still sticking to my previous post , but I will try to separate them more .. 1/2: Lebanon and Mt. Juliet 3/4: Gallatin and Beech 5: hendersonville 6/7/8: Station camp, Portland, Wilson Central... Who knows I feel lots of parody in bottom half, as well as top half Should be a good district to watch this year as there are always good rivalry games

I see two TRUTHS about White House There schedule was cupcake as a whole.........TRUTH but, they did in fact looking at the scores ... Took care of business early, scoring lots of points, large point spread victories, holding other team to LOW SCORES........TRUTH My question for the devils is how will they respond if they get behind as I believe they only have trailed one time ALL YEAR....which was springfield...(I hope that rematch happens because I will be there for that game.....)

No District Changes in terms of the teams I see. I believe CCCHS won 3 championships in the 4 years of this District. Now its time for a new 4 year alignment. Agree with above, sometimes called a weak district, but teams are well coached, and play quality basketball usually in front of decent crowds. White House has played in the Championship 2 years in a row now, So I would have to say they are preparing to make that step to winning the district championship, and beyond this year. I would probably say they are the favorite as they truly only lost 1 senior that scored in Cole, and a physical, rebounding machine at the post. I saw a couple of the teams this summer at various locations. 1) Westmoreland - after losing what 6 seniors 2 years in a row. They looked like a Junior varsity team physically when I saw them. I would say is a rebuilding year for the new coach to really implement his system and get some young guys experience , and make a move in a later season. 2) Greenbrier - Got themselves a new coach. Still seemed like an execute, execute, execute type basketball team. They did get their post player back from beech not sure what class he is, but he is now back at greenbrier. Have guards with experience. 3) CCCHS - Looked young, but always feisty and physical. Always well coached will get better I am sure as year goes on. Younger mayberry is a player to watch. 4) WH-Heritage - Did not get to see them live. Seemed to always be the same team in summer as in season. I believe they are returning their back up point guard number 3. The light skinned post player 24, and number 12. Rest will be players that didn't play much as they were SENIOR HEAVY last year. 5) Harpeth- haven't seen. Will be their new coaches 2nd year. I thought they dropped off as year went on last year. Not sure who they lost or returning. I'm sure some shooters. 6) Sycamore- Heard that James has transferred somewhere so that hurts them moving forward. Graduated some shooters, and combo post/guard players. 7) White House- Returning almost everyone. Their young players who have played last two years have had a successful summer. I saw them come back down 20 at half to beat Macon Co. I heard they beat Marshall county and took McGavick to overtime. They like to run and shoot the three, which makes them dangerous, but also vulnerable. Who would be some players to watch for this year for District MVP?

Springfield is the team to beat .....TRUTH Good to see Heritage move up out of what would have been detrimental to their program in AAA Region 5....TRUTH Should be some good match-ups. Greenbrier is interesting Montgomery with returning players could be a team to watch Another good rivalry game in Portland and White House now back in same REGION If nothing else should be good crowds, and competitive football White House does have some good skilled position players that are still not seniors--will be interesting to watch if they open up the playbook this year.. GOOD LUCK TO ALL - we should know more after first couple of weeks

If you mean slowed down by beating them then yes .... of course they lost some of those games .... hahaha But the statement was "pace" and give up buckets on purpose to score points , which is not TRUTH ..... Sycamore - fast paced game , both heritage games fast paced game , Springfield game fast paced game , harpeth game low scoring but saw on their public feed- White House stalled to take referees out of game..... And do games before the last two weeks really matter in basketball ?? It's how you finish , and play in the tournament not in November, December, and January ... ..... TRUTH ....

Hello Friends........... The TRUTH has been absent awhile, because now is when Basketball actually begins!!! Just to reply to a couple things mentioned above......... MVP= best player on regular season champion team.......sad, but TRUTH Coaches from their own team I'm sure decide which player off their own team makes all-district.......TRUTH Preppy- Pretty sure the Devils force more turnovers then any other team so idea of giving up baskets to create tempo----NOT TRUTH they aren't chino hills hahaha...... No other teams have "stopped" their tempo or made it a slower tempo, and that is on them. Now for The Tournament Anyone can beat anyone --- TRUTH The Cubs are finally Healthy ---TRUTH Heritage is the same as they were in 1st district game ---TRUTH Greenbrier and Westmoreland both similar and BORING to watch ---TRUTH Sycamore -----beat MLK finished 6th in district so to say all 4 are gone is foolish ---TRUTH White House ----the Hottest Team, Tournament Host, averaging 20 point wins in their win streak, the most dangerous basketball team in the tournament -----TRUTH Harpeth---seems to play everyone to 5 point game pretty much ----1/2 TRUTH The way the tournament is set up is silly that the #1 seed doesn't even know opponent until night before.........TRUTH Sad the 4/5 game winner plays 2 tournament games in less then 24 hours......TRUTH Wednesday - 2) Harpeth vs 7) Cheatham - Cheatham not a true 7 seed. Upset ALERT....TRUTH.... Cheatham wins in a close battle. Thursday- 3) White House vs. 6) Sycamore - Was at the first sycamore game in WH gym, WH played 15 players in first half. That won't happen again.......TRUTH........Based on last 8 games and hosting the tournament in their gym.....Devils win easily .....TRUTH Friday- 4) Greenbrier vs. 5) Westmoreland - should be a real exciting in the 40s game. Might be a race to 50 to determine the winner. Westmoreland has the size, greenbrier the overall shooting is much better ! This is a toss up game, my quarter said heads (greenbrier) so I got greenbrier......TRUTH Will return Saturday so I don't predict games that don't even exist....TRUTH Good luck to all , see yal Saturday.........TRUTH

Harpeth is home vs. Hillwood - I got Hillwood in this game. WH-Heritage is @ Ezell Harding - Heritage in another 15-20 point win Westmoreland @ Greenbrier - my gut telling me Greenbrier going to get their first district win of season at home.....Anyone scores 50 in this game they win...maybe 45 White House @ Cheatham - I believe cheatham has one or two of their injured players back according to box score..... I think White House might get their first district win vs. Cheatham since this version of 9AA has been in existence... Good Luck to All !

Heritage vs. Westmoreland - Heritage doesn't let pippen do his thing they win. Garrison has grown and should be a good matchup with Nick D. or Neely.... My gut tells me heritage is going to win. It just that westmoreland so scrappy so organized scary game for the patriots in the big red gym White House vs. Sycamore- No idea lol. I feel like the Devils will bounce back and get a Win to let the district start to get away from them.....I got the devils at home in a 10 point game. Greenbrier at harpeth - this game is also interesting..... Who is really what. I feel we wont find out much, and harpeth wins 48-45 at home..... Good Luck to all ! What a great atmosphere this game had last night !! Pretty much a PACKED gym..... Heritage looked like some seniors and juniors, strength and grittiness..... A couple hard fouls and dirty plays here and there , but that is what a rivalry is all about...... As for the game, this White House team confuses me......Heritage is what they are.... The inconsistency of the Blue Devils is astounding.....I guess when 4 sophomores play most of the minutes and game that can be an issue.....All in all I really enjoyed the atmosphere and game... I will say I feel the Patriots are what they are, The blue devils if don't go mental or "shut down" so to speak.... Still a very dangerous basketball team as they figure it out...... Until next time city of White House- that was a great sporting event......TRUTH

Maybe now we can talk about District Play instead of Region Play since it begins Tomorrow .... 12-6-16 Westmoreland @ Cheatham - Remembered how surprised I was last year when Westmoreland won this game........ Won't be surprised this year with Cheatham graduating their players, and their current PLAYERS injured. I see westmoreland winning this game. Tougher place to play though.,.,. Sycamore @ Harpeth - a little rivalry game here. Should be a scrappy game, have not seen Harpeth play any or sycamore...... I going to give harpeth the nod since they are at home, but could be a toss-up... WH-Heritage @ White House - Could be a preview of district championship game....Will be interesting to see what happens. My gut tells me White House going to shoot well, and pressure the Patriots like they haven't been pressured all year and Beat the patriots by double digits........Seems the patriots have kept games low scoring (except for their cupcake games) thus far this year though so might be close...... I'll probably go to the White House game since all other sumner county games are away , except for station camp and portland - who would want to watch that...... Won't speak on friday games until I see the box scores of Tuesday night !! Good luck to all !!

District Play begins next week !! Looking forward to watching some of these games and matchups I was at the White House / Portland Game Tuesday Night They had a big crowd as they did an Alumni Night and was quite a spectacle......Didn't realize the great JoJo Dabbs had over 2,800 points that is some scoring ........The gym did seem to have new lights and was brighter.... There is now a "cage" on those rails "new blue" so does hinder some sight in first row or two.......As far as big enough, I believe it is bigger then the cracker jack box of lipscomb gym that this region was played in last year...... White House just seemed to play everyone 12-13 players and wore down Portland. Only 3/6 of their seniors even dressing. Really only 2 play.....4 sophomores play a majority of the minutes, might take some lumps but should be much improved and better come tournament time and years to come...... They played less players in second half..... Two of the sophomores Pond and Ward had to have hit 6-8 threes between them in the second half after not shooting any in the first half.... It was like a tie game, near end of third.... If you would have looked down or went to the bathroom when you came back Portland was down 10-12 in a matter of 4-5 possessions.....Makes me think if you wanna beat white house in that gym, you better get out to a lead because at some point they going to get hot, and can change the whole game in a matter of 1-3 minutes.... Sycamore - beat MLK at home other night, had to be a great game for them or bad for MLK either way that is a Quality , take notice win Players I think should shine or their teams could struggle........ Sycamore- James Westmoreland- Pippen (big body post), Garrison - heard grew even more tall wing.... Cheatham- Would have been Mayberry, but now HAS to be Saunders Heritage- Demarais (spelling??) , and Upton got to make them chug Harpeth- Gibbs and Copeland Greenbrier- By committee but Richardson and Cline White House- Cole and Ward Good Luck to all, might be a race to 7 wins this year to win regular season and to get that bye to region this year....

Hmmmmm, Had to go back to see how my TRUTHS were going........ I think I still like where I have everyone , as far as the regular season goes. Gallatin is a DANGEROUS basketball team .......TRUTH.... Their big man Zule, just a sophomore , but has improved two years worth of basketball in 1. Luna has had success in his history of coaching that program with players like him.......Come tourney time I would want to be opposite of them. Haven't seen Mt Juliet only read. Got some football players knocking off rust, tough schedule will pay off....Just a question can they get it done....The cubs did, the red sox did, the cavs did, and so on and so on. So hopefully they might get it done as I have friends and some family who graduated from there and would love to see it. Lebanon I still haven't seen, we will find out what they about friday against Mt. Juliet as their schedule I would call cake compared to some of the others..... Station camp- hmmmmm ....They are all about winning, and if they continue to just win got to respect that, but surely these other coaches can stymie Freeman in some games if not shame on them or KUDOS to the reigning MVP I will now change beech comment to a TRUTH - better then expected Wilson central and portland only wins are against each other..... So much for portland running through 9-AA that was mentioned in that thread as they have lost to Westmoreland, Heritage, and White House. Hendersonville- not much to say..... up hill battle in this district for them....they will beat wilson central and portland though I think..... Looking forward to this district getting underway so we can all have some more "regular season" TRUTHS Good Luck to All !!

Sorry came to check how my predictions were going .... Don't think I have missed one yet except for Portland and WHH being close .....TRUTH ... But anywho don't believe things you have said up there is much TRUTH .... ... Wouldn't call. 22-16 halftime lead a domination for ENTIRE game ..... Also , unless I was lied to which is something I am not familiar with (The name) Pretty sure the key word was "scrimmage" and also I believe they played JV and Freshmen quarters as well ..... which WH won JV game and lost Freshmen game in overtime .... So either White House just playing completely wrong players in this "scrimmage" ... Or your stretching the real TRUTH just a tad bit ....
