Why wont they do basketball like they do with football with the regions?? Bradley is now region 2 after being region 1 last 2 years...and region 3 before that. Im guessing 1 is bristol area down to knoxville? 2 is chattanooga/knoxville are 3 is middle tn 4 is clarksville are 5 is between clarksville and memphis snd 6 is west tennessee??

My bad anotherback i didnt realize he played back in the day. I do think the better players are at wv though

Hey warriorfan you have a pretty good defense when you allow an average of 35 a game and 55 points is the most you give up all year.

Wv is one of those surprise teams. Great coach in bob Williams and loaded eith talent and very experienced. I believe their starting 5 are all seniors. Sll of Bradleys players transferred there snd thats why Bradley isnt that great anymore. Wv shouldve won state last year but the state runner ups cordova outsized them. Wv i believe is the only team that could probably beat blackmon or oak ridge because of their style of play. I wished wv hosted the sectional so i could see them in action. Their fun to watch.

Imo the 6 best aaa teams in state in order are sc, bradley, riverdale, cumberland county oakridge and morristown west

Bradley does have great defense. Allowed only 55 points to a high percentage shooting team. Sounds like you underestimate their great defense.

Bradley i believe accomplished that feat last 4 years. When they had copeland and reuter for three years and then last years team. This year wouldve been 5.

And i agree that coach smith was one of the greatest boys coaches in state. Too bad he had to have knee surgery snd had to retire because their coach now isnt the greatest. Id rather have his assistant coach as head coach since he is a former player for bradley. But im not the a.d. and dont make those decisions

I agree dadof23. Isnt howards cousin playing for eh too? And one of Bradleys players few years back transferred to morristown west and they ended up losing to blackman in state title game. Cant remember her name though. But any high school player that gets 20 d1 offers has to be a great player

As far as officiating goes i think the refs outside the regions actually draw to see who goes where. That would be the fair thing to do

Or tssaa shoukd quit making middle tn play region 3 in sectionals and have region finals winners host one of the losers from another region. A blind draw just like they do with state. That woukd give west tn teams a chance to play east to get to state too and dadof23 your rhynes dad?? Too bad cretton is at wv now and will never get to go back to state unless he decides to be an assisstant to reuter or wv gets hreat players like bradley. District 5 boys have always been good and usually always send at least 1 team to state not so much girls recently except bradley...

O think cumberland going to aa could be good for them. Them and mcminn central should be great rivalry next 4 years. Bradley cant help the district their in is basically one sided.

Reuter is a probably the best coach theyve had imo. Smiddy only went to state 2 times i believe and won national title back to back. Yeah its been 40 years and were due but thats something to be proud of. I expect a state title within the next 3-4 years.

Btw if riverdale is so great and this region is so weak why did riverdale only win by 21 pts?? And sc to scout our team Thursday so that made us play a style we werent used to and managed to do so. But going 1-16 from behind the arc didn't help. We make our fts and half our 3s its a blowout. Props to sc for winning in a VERY hostile environment. Bradley went almost 3 full seasons, 41 straight, before losing at home. They just picked a bad night to shoot bad. After morgan airballed 3 free throws that leaked off on everybody but howard. Only losing by 5 in actuality is pretty good considering. Well get them next year

Win or lose im bradley fan for life. If they aint in then i root for closest local team. Lets hope eh and wv boys can get job done tomorrow

Btw warrior fan bradley beat hamilton heights last year and mcminn central. Im pretty sure we would beat riverdale too. Like i said before imo sc is the best team. They are fast and can shoot

Madscience i agree. You dont make 3 out of 4 state tournaments by being mediocre. They beat then powerhouse blackman to get there, lost to lawrence county by 1 point (bad refeering) beat oakland and beat stewarts creek. All at home, so bradley isnt a weak team.there only the winningest program in country and yeah anotherback i sit there at all the games i can go to. You must sit there too??

Bradley has a deep bench and nit every opponent outside if their district was weak.they beat morristown west and oak ridge this year by allot. Without cumberland on the schedule next 4 years i really hope they do a home and home with riverdale and stewarts creek. I agree thst the and and 3rd best players are gone now. Stewarts creek played great defense and we did the right thing by making them foul us we just couldnt convert the free throws or Bradley could be in state. But the 2 best teams in state imo are riverdale and sc. But any one can win the gold ball. I expect bradley to be hosting same game next year maybe against somebody else though like oakland or shelbyville. How many players does riverdale and stewarts creek have coming back? I think Bradley only has howard returning as senior but that carter girl is great off the bench. She can crete plays and keep opponents guessing. She needs to improve on defense though. The hannah lobard girl is not bad for sophomore either but she is too slow right now. Last year was the better bearettes team despite having 3 loses. The had 3 seniors then also and howard didnt start.

One more thing. Bradley beat riverdale in summer game but lost to stewarts creek so that sounds like to me that sc is best team.

Better yet have region final winners automatically go to state like it should be to keep 2 teams from same region playing for state title. Thats would still give 8 teams going to state and one from each region. Get rid of the "sectional" round altogether. Make all region playoff games one and done. Use district playoffs to determine seedingd for region

Yeah kinda not fair that region 3 always has to play the best region in the state in sectionals every year. They should rotate. Make region 1 and 2 have to play them sometimes. Another reason why its hard to have 2 reps from region 3 in state. Or do away with sectionals and have sweet 16 go to glass house or have best of 3 in sectionals

Howard did her part. Everybody else missed free throws. Tha was the difference

Bradley beat themselves by missing too many free throws. I think theyre only getting howard as a senior next year so they wont be nearly as good. 41 game home winning streak ends too.

Howard will eithrr hsve to shoot better or create open looks saturday night
