  1. CPA is WAY down this year. There is a lack of intensity in their gameplay not seen in a while... They're quite predictable as well... Stretch the LOS on their sweeps, jets, and roll outs, and then try to pound with a lineman(#33) running the ball. Their O-line is bigger than most small public school lines, but they're not ferocious by any means. Unless 3A is that lackluster this season, I don't see why some are putting them in the Top 10 in the state rankings. Ghosts of the past I suppose...
  2. The polls shouldn't drop Trezevant that far, considering that the rest of the teams in 2A didn't play a D2 school this week! The way Trezevant opened that game last night silenced the Ensworth crowd QUICK! CR is the real deal... And the rest of the district knows what's coming. As do the pollsters! Rankings(opinions) don't win gold balls, the kids playing week in and week out do. Good luck the rest of the season!
  3. The first drive for Trezevant was the best shot they gave the E. They marched right down the field and scored. CR(#5) looked really good! They then got a special teams score to go up 14-7...and then their offense disappeared. Ensworth reeled off 47 straight points and never looked back. CR was held to 86yds on 15 carries. When the E went up 21-14, Trez got flustered and then got sloppy.... owlbooster was absolutely correct in his first post on this thread!
  4. If the E looked so unimposing, then I guess holding Mr. Clemson to 86yds on 15 carries was mediocrity at its best! Respect for Trezevant is due for scheduling the E, but getting the running clock put on YOUR team at least deserves a little bit of respect to those who just NAPALMED you. Hope you all have a great rest of the season.
  5. Fairview is my pick. They have a strong Senior class, but their "Achilles" is having pressure put on their Sophomore QB and making him throw off-balance and on the run. If Hughes doesn't abandon the run early, they should win BIG!
  6. None of you know that Ensworth has been missing their feature RB since the 2nd play of their first scrimmage, along with a few other key injuries to some kids that should be starting. Ensworth, like last season is being led by the Class of 2018(Juniors.) Last year, Trezevant stayed in that game because Ensworth played 8 Sophomores - most both ways. Much respect to Trezevant for playing anyone, anywhere! Most Div.1 powerhouse schools won't even fathom the thought of scheduling a D-2 school regular season i.e. Maryville...they'd rather pad their stats and coaches' egoes beating up on Podunk County High School! Props to Trezevant and their coaches! This year's Ensworth team is still quite young and is going through some growing pains. And they have played 3 powerhouse schools in their first 3 games. They're quite battle tested. It's going to be another great game between these teams! Anyone wanting to stream it, can catch it at: www.ensworthlive.com
  7. Really young Ensworth team once again. Many Juniors on this team that either started or got significant playing time as Sophomores. O-line starts 4 Juniors and 1 Senior. Avg 280lbs across the line. Much stronger Senior class than last season. WR/DB commit to Louisville.
  8. I say Ensworth if they commit to the running game.
  9. Yeah,... I'm sure teams like Fairview or East Nashville, who usually have CPA locked and loaded in the second or third round of the playoffs every year appreciate the charity and side effects that eminate from the steeple of the church...
  10. Wouldn't CPA be less hated if they didn't play public schools week in and week out and in the playoffs? Looks like a private... Recruits like a private... Why not play in D-II with the privates? In middle TN there is no excuse for them not to. They're close to the same enrollment as the E and BA.
  11. They have less talent this year than last. Just sayin'... But not a newbie to the hysterics of this message board. lol
  12. https://youtu.be/jRXRD5GACq0 CPA should stay in their lane and leave you guys alone. There's room for them in DII-2A now! Oh wait....They love winning!!! So, so easy to hide behind that tax-free Sunday money as an excuse to not be fresh meat for Ensworth and BA!
  13. Ensworth travels to Giles Co. Tuesday August 2nd... 6pm.
