  5. The Tigers are always the underdogs and have never come on here talking a bunch of mess. Why would they start now? The Tigers will do what they do every week. They will prepare each day for the team they face on Friday. They will bring the most loyal group of fans you could ask for. They will leave it all on the field. These boys have faced challenges a whole lot harder than a championship game so don't expect them to be intimidated. They will walk in that stadium with no fear and do their job. They see and hear what people say but they don't need others to build them up. They are brothers and they build each other up everyday. They may not have a Mr Football on the team but we've had one before and that doesn't win State Championships. We are excited to come to Cookville and support our Tigers!! See you all Friday!
  6. How many tickets will be available for this game?
  7. I'm glad you think you know Lincoln County so well. Are there adults that hate city? Yes there are. You would surprised how many Falcon fans were at our game Friday night cheering us on. The players from both teams are good friends. It's sad that some adults try to stir up hate. I can also guarantee that if LC makes it deep in the playoffs that City fans will be there to cheer them on. keep motivating our players with your koolaid statements. It worked out well for us Friday.
  8. It will look like they made it to round 4 and everyone will be proud. I remember when Cornersville made it to the championship and a lot of people from Fayetteville went to support them. We were proud to have a team from our region make it. I wonder if any other teams will do the same if we make it. I would hope so. We have a good chance of finding out in two weeks.
  9. Fayetteville has 8 seniors playing as of last week. All players are back and healthy now. It's a great time to have them all back. Can't wait to make the trip to west Tennessee Friday. Praying for good weather.
  10. City had four transfers from LC. Two of those are brothers who returned in November of 2019. The other two returned in May of 2020. They didn't just show up last week. Three of them are seniors and one is a sophomore. All were willing to sit out most of the season to come back legally. Some of the Moore County parents will remember them from jr pro football and middle school. They were on the same teams that went undefeated in both. City didn't steal anything from LC. Those boys all came back home and worked just as hard as everyone else to get where they are. We all know that players read this board and our players use it as motivation. The same goes for the racist comments they have endured from Moore County players over the years. You can put blame wherever you chose but the fact is that City beat Moore County once again and is moving on and focusing on their goal. You enjoy a glass of koolaid and keep talking about how things could have been different.
  11. The two brothers that returned from LC never left the city system because of football. The older brother left for personal reasons that had nothing to do with his love for the system he grew up in. Younger brother decided to go there to play on the same team as the older one. Their reason for returning to city was also personal and they were both willing to sit out until week 9 in order to return. That alone should let you know that their decisions were not based on playing football. They are happy to be a part of the Tiger family once again. GO TIGERS!!
  12. The thing with Fayetteville is that you never know who will make the big play. This should be a great game.
