I always loved to getting to watch us play y’all and us play Mt. pleasant. Those were the best rivalries to me. I wish somehow we could get y’all back on the schedule, but mt. Pleasant refuses to play us anymore so that rivalry is official over

Y’all got that gold ball in 2011 which was really great. Yalls 2015 and 2016 teams were gold ball teams having to go up against once in a decade talented teams. Preston deserved a gold ball

I think it would be very cool to see corn town bring a gold ball home. Prior to last season, Cornersville had only had one season above .500 in this century. Their improvement over the past few years is deserving of a gold ball

Whitwell didn’t get this far off of luck or because they aren’t good. They are obviously a great team. The difference between Cornersville and Whitwell is the physicality and conditioning. Cornersville this year has been able to play all full four quarters at a break neck pace, and still have the energy to knock your socks off late in the fourth quarter. Huntingdon was one of if not the best offensive team in 1A this year.... before a Cornersville game into town. They beat them down. And yes their fans can say that they just didn’t run enough plays, but the reality of it is that Cornersville’s defense was not gonna let anything get past them. They held a very good lake County team to 8 points as well. Their starters shut out every team they played in the regular season. The saying goes, Defense wins championships, and if they can hold a very good offensive team like Huntingdon to 7 points, I think it would be foolish to believe that they couldn’t do it to Whitwell either. They probably won’t, Whitwell could definitely score more, but is Whitwell’s defense up to the task to stop Cornersville’s offense? That’s why I think that Cornersville will won this game. If it is true that Greenback last year would’ve whipped this years Whitwell team, then whitwell is gonna get spanked Saturday. This Cornersville team is MUCH better than last year.

I think film can be misleading sometimes but who knows. I know that they are very physical team from what I’ve seen so far.

Had it been dry last week y’all would’ve beat them even worse than I thought y’all were going to (41-20). I don’t see Peabody putting up 45 on this very good defensive team. I think it’ll be a one score game either way

Definitely at MTSU. The basketball state tournament is held there, as is the baseball state championship and other things as well

I mean it’s gonna be hard for anyone to score on them... Huntingdon has a great offense and you saw what happened there... and no team in the regular season scored on their first team

I’m not sure they are THE best 1A defensive teams I’ve seen but they’re definitely very very high up there. They’ve allowed 41 points all year on their starters. 15 totals points on them in the semi and quarterfinals combined. That’s pretty impressive.
