Coach-excellent post.as atheletes,students and people,we have to learn to do things on our own,even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone just a little.parents shouldnt have to discuss things with your coach,you should,as I said we are playing the game,not mom and dad.It really all begins with our relationships and attitude towards the coach.If you dont like your coach,your preformance will probably be lackin,but if you get along well with your coach and have a good attitude about him/her,youll want to work harder and do better for them.That may not be true for all of you,but thats my opinion.If your worried about playing time,check your attitude first.the coachs know what theyre doing.

The athelete is playing the game,not the parent,the parent should have NOTHING to do with an atheletes PT,it is not an off limits discussion between a coach and the athelete though,and if it is,than either leave it alone,or quit.you should consider yourself privelged to be on that team,and im competitve,but i will NOT gripe about my amount of playing time.

AMEN 2 THAT MCBASEBALL.Marshall county is a good team,but i think differently.maybe someday we will have that quality of a program,if we can keep coach ray disney and hood.

i understand,to a certain point.some coaches know their players better than parents do.but the point of being on a high school team is to win.Iam not a starter,nor a 2nd string on varsity,but Im just glad to be there.so i am not one of those kids you think would rather be cut than sit there all year.I would,no matter how silly that sounds,Im happy just to have a part of that winning team.the coach knows whats best for their team,not the parents,parents will more than likely always think that their kids are the best,but they dont always know their attitude at practice and so on.The coach knows what theyre doing,and if they dont,they shouldnt be there to begin with.Playing time,well,that s the coachs preference,I dont really understand the big deal,but thats at their discresion to.I have to back coachs up all the way on this one.

MCBASEBALL-Ive been watching the same team as you for the past 5 years.Im saying that last year,with proper coaching,our team could have maybe even gone to state.but we have had a bunch of raw talent,and the coach couldnt bring that out,and made us look bad,I agree w/ you whole heartedly,and in my opinion,they do look 100%(i said 1000 b4 b/c it was a typo)better,b/c of proper coaching.And let me add you are absolutely right about the AD Hiring her friends instead of someone qualified,its happened to many times and is ruining the athletics program w/ the exeptions of coach McClain,Young,Dunn,and now hood and Ray,which explain where our winning seasons lie.but do realize everyone has a different opinion. TO THE OTHER GUY-yeah,the conditions were the same for both teams,but marshall seemed to handle them better.as i see it,its a central fans opinion vs marshall co fan's.i think im right you think you are,unfortunalty we'll never know what would have happened if it had been dry.and by sayin we shut them down,the score that night cold have bee 50-7,and it wasnt b/c centrals defense was unstopable,the offense could have been better.but the defense was great,could have been better also,not saying top notch,but was great.

Central is doing so much better this year.I havent seen waverly,but there is a good chance central could come out on top.Good luck guys!Go Alex!

the feild was a mess,it was muddy and the players were covered in mud from head to toe.MCHS's football team is definatlly the underdogs this year,their new coach has improved them beyond belief and the team is 1000% better this year than last year.they put up a good fight and shut marshall county down,turnovers and a slippery ball cost them.Good effert to both teams.Central may end up on top this year,u never know

Im a pitcher and prefer the yellow ball.The seams are always so much better than the white balls,and i fell theyre easier to see.The grip is the most important though,b/c that can b the diff between a good drop,or a bad one(and other pitches as well)

Were excited about Kelly's decision,and so is she!It's great she decided to play so close to home so we can go watch her!But first were gonna focus on this season and go from there!Statebound "03"

We just finished up the nsa state there,and the umps were still aweful,they made 2 stupid calls against us,and the second time they did it,was only to make us mad.I can understand if they cant find real great umps for one tournament,but they need to try a little harder for state.Nationals will be awesome though!

the tourney was great,it ran smoothly with no problems,and one of the few tournaments where every player on a 1st or 2nd place team can get a trophy.the teams,competetion,and sportsmanship were great.14 under b middle tennessee madness came out on top way to go girls! looks like they named this tournament for them!

This is an opinion thread.What does everyone think about Central,talent in the past,and what they thinnk is coming for the future.

Creive hall wildcats and middle tennessee madness had a great game,wildcats came out on top,4-3.madness was down 4-1 up until the final inning,battleing back,some bad calls by umpires could have changed the game if they made the right call,but the madness had a few defensive mistkes.wilcats coach also stalled time for 15 min. taling to his girls in the box,making them tie their shoes,and other trick just to stay ahead.im not sure how the champ game came out w/ wilcats and rock and fire.tell me if you know.
