  1. what kinda advice are you lookin for?
  2. i wouldnt say our team is the strongest, but one guy on it,jake irish,is the strongest our school has ever seen, guy does 3 sets of 10 w/1000 on the leg press, and could do more.
  3. I think what he is trying to say is,if you go out and watch a team, and half of them have gone to club k and the other half have never had a day of instrucion from a school of that magnitude, ever, you will notice the difference.i think club k is the BEST of the best, but thats b/c i go there,im sure if i went somewhere else,id think that was the best, but club k to me is the best, for me,and neone else who goes there.
  4. no predic's-just facts! 24-7 mongomery central.the guys dominated hard tonight and it payed off.great job guys!
  5. MIKEN is awesome.i also like that 3dx,or whatever its called.
  6. Well, were just gonna have to see about that one.Yeah, she may have averaged about 50ppg,but from what i heard, she was a ballhog, and the only thing good they had on that team. Not sayin dont watch for her,im sure shes good and all,but not all shes cracked up to be.
  7. money is one of the biggest factors in startin a team.youll need sponsers, and may as well get started now.get your girls to get 2 or 3 also.tees are a must,3 or 4,they may seem like tballish, but they are the best hittin tool out there,i wish our team used em.1st year, unless you have the money,id just go w/ cotton jerseys and as cheap as you can get w/ out lookin rag tag,but if you can afford them, great.get started lookin for tourneys, balls and other team equipment.patience is the key though, good luck. #45
  8. Main point-a coach knows what they are doin,if they dont, they shouldnt be there.A good coach knows when they screw up,and dont need a bunch of parents telling them when they do,who to play and when to do it.Coaches know their place and job,as a parent, know your role, and cheer for the team.
  9. Brandon Burney-mongomery central
  10. Ivan is a main threat all around,he sneaks into holes in the defense and scores like you wouldnt belive.kenadall cilk has some of the same ablility as ivan and they both compete frequently on who get more yards.Ivan is a great all around athelete and a great person to watch.
  11. well, you coulda been a LITTLE nicer about it meg.
  12. I love all my teammates, they are like my family...but when it comes down to the actual game, I have no problem staying in for the whole game...no matter if we are winning or losing. I work day after day to ensure that I am ready for the game...just because my team mate dont get to start doesnt mean i should have to sit out for a few minutes so they can say "I got to play"- when they didnt earn it like I have. SO you can be all "speechless".......But I stick to what I said before. Basketball is my life and I'm not gonna let some one else play when they dont desevre it. And just WHO decides whether they DO or DO NOT deserve PT! ABSOLUTELY!the kid talks about how much the coach knows, the coach obviously doesnt have enough sense to bench someone with such a big attitude problem.

By the way,you would be one of those classless players w/the bad attiude i was talking about in one of my previous post.its obvous everyone there earned some pt,or they wouldnt be there.I feel bad for your teammates.
  14. Ok,I understand-to a certain point. Why dont you try putting yourself in a benchers shoes? Most people that ride the bench do work their tales off(myself included),just as much as the starters.maybe you should(being all high and mighty starter)try to help your teammates on their weaknesses if you love them like family, instead of thearing them down.they want to be out there just as bad as you, think about that.put yourself in their position.
  15. Kelly Shelton-Montgomery Central need i say more? [Edited by mchsballer on 10-6-02 7:27P]
  16. well said!unfortunatly some parents dont have the time or the skill to work with them.Talk to the coach after practice and see if theyll work with you,if not, teammates are always available. If that doesmt work,do the best you can on your own.You have to work on your weaknesses and improve on your strenghts, and first you have to know what they are. Most coaches and teammates would be more than happy to help you with your game, but if you have a parent that can help, great! On another note-if a player, who is more skilled than you is playing over you,and they have an aweful attitude and theyre dirty mouthed and unsportsmanlike, that is the coaches problem and its a huge mistake. If a coach wants to win that badly, then the one with the better attitude needs to discuss the problem with the coach, and if they decide not to listen, then they should quit. Its a shame that kids with so much heart, passion and desire for the game have to quit because of some unqualified and uneduacated coaches out there who have nothing positive or uplifting to say to their players.Fortuanatly, that is not a problem for our program.
  17. I would sit 4 years and leave,Im just glad to be a part of that team.even if i got about 30 min playin time for a 4 year total,im just happy to be there.I love the game,my teammates and my coach, and wouldnt give it up for nothin,im not that good, but i think im a motivator and cheer my butt off over there, thats my role on the bench.I know my role on that team, and im gonna stick to it.I just love the game, and if playin time comes with it,GREAT!
  18. I honestly dont know the best way to handle this.If your child loves the game, with an infinite passion, they would take that 2 seconds, ive done the same thing, and enoyed and felt privileged for that 2 seconds,if your child doesnt want to waste their time for 2 seconds, thats up to them.I think a coach knows and if they dont they shouldnt be there to begin with.perhaps your kid should have a talk with your coach about this problem.if that doesnt work, then maybe they should decide to quit if the coach is that bad.majority of coaches(basketball wise)are intellegent and willing to listen, and know what their doin, but its up to your child to talk to the coach.
  19. Exactly, coachs have to play to Win,and they will play the top players that will get that win, even if feelings get hurt.Parents may think theyre kids are the best, they usually do,but the coach isnt biased and knows the true talent levels of every individual. If a kid is angry b/c they arent gettin the PT they deserve,THEY need to dicuss that w/ the coach, and not say im right your wrong, fix it,but that it should be a mature conversation between the 2,and the player doesnt agree, then quit, your only hurting yourself and teamates if you stay and gripe,so make up you mind, and dont let your parents do your work for you.
  20. This is only a quote post, man, people turn the littlest things into fights.
  21. I know his cousin, hes my best friend and the family and team is in my prayers.
