Creekwood,Sycamore,Cheatham,Stewart,Harpeth,Waverly.Im not sure what their record are,but Im sure thats whos in our district.Montgomery Central doesnt get much plublicity b/c its a little "country" school.But these guys are great!

Well,than most teams must not be real great if their 4th in the state.

Montgomery Central is 4th in state,and curren record is something like 15-1-1 with a 14 game winning streak and a 13 game shut out streak.

Thats much easier said than done.I love softball and all,and like i said,its my ticket outta here,but I love basketball more than anything,and the coach and wouldnt give it up for anything.Volleyball just gets me in shape for basketball,and its pretty fun,but you cant just choose one sport,that would be like going to a chinese buffet and only being allowed to choose one kind of chicken.

This is an opinion thread: If your a multi-sport athelete(in my case 3)you know the situations you have to deal with from a coach.Every coach thinks their sport is the most important,and every coach says that your going to have to sacrifice your time and other sports,jobs ect. for their sport.Fortuantly Ive been blessed so far with the ability to handle this type of thing.Over the summer I play travel softball,but volleyball and basketball both plan to have summer practice.Softball is my ticket out of high school,but I love basketball,and my coach,and I hope to make capitan on the volleyball team this year,and every coach has said make sacrifices,it seems to get harder,not to mention i try to umpire during the summer.How do other multi-sport atheletes handle this?

IMO,QueenBee is an excellent moderator,and lets people speak their opinions before locking a thread.She could be lock-happy if she wanted to,shoot,why do you think this thread is still here.And who ever said it is right,moderators are people too.

Yes,but some players could be good coaches,but the thing is,theyre not.Some teams do not have good coaching whatsoever,and great talent could be wasted(I see it happening right now)and even if a good player on the team could make a great coach,they need to try to stand back as much as possible.Instead of trying to be a coach,just be a leader and give positive support to your teammates,pick them up when a coach brings them down,and always do your best and play with heart.Youll get much further this way than by getting mad and trying to get everything done your way.

Yep,same here,except everyone gets more than our softball program,not just basketball,even though theyre first,which i understand,because of the difference in the winning program.

but if you want to mess yourself up,thats fine,just dont do it representing your school as an athelete.

I dont know what school your talkin about,but when you sign for a parking permit,locker ect.,you agree to random searches,with or without probable cause or suspicion.

They do not need reasonable anything,your using the schools property,its theirs to search as they please.The testing is a great idea,as Coacht stated,playing high school athletics is a privelage,not a right,and your represinting your school,I wouldnt want a bunch of druggees represinting my school.

the state record is 41,and Ive never heard of her.How long has she been throwing?Id say if merrill had started her freshman year,shed be throwin 45's or better.
