I promise I'm not trying to say anything bad about the young man, but he isn't tall enough to see under center. When the ball was snapped, he couldn't find receivers. And a good defense coach will eat them alive if they pick up on what I seen out of the o line.

Hope the coaches figure out after this past Friday that Greenback is a running team, not a throwing team!!! Facts is facts! No excuse to try and throw the ball over 15 yards. They don't have a qb like last two years.

There is a few ref's that have no business being on a field for any reason. They make it personal against some kids. And can never be question about their calls . Like they are God and above reversing a call even when they know it was wrong. I've seen it first hand!!! Tssaa backs up their calls so the kids suffer . Or it's home cooking to stop a good team. Just isn't right. But will never be changed.

Greenback will win this one if the team doesn't play into the mouthing on the field. That will be Loudon game plan, to get in their heads. One of the coaches has told me all week they have challenge the lineman to see who will step up and take Silvey place. Who is willing to run 40 yards to make a play like he did. And even though they haven't gotten there yet, they are really trying. I think Edwards looking just as good as Roberts did. Just not as experienced, but looks good.

It's about to be 3and2, after next Friday. Lol. I've watched them this season. Skill position is ok, not great. Line play has a lot to work on. And corner can be thrown on all night if Greenback has a long ball. But, Loudon is playing together as a team since Jeff has come back. I just think Greenback has a better line than Loudon. (Still)

Cak is freaking loaded!!!! They have a freshman running back that is unreal. I watched film on their scrimmage. Don't know if Greenback has anyone that can catch him. Hopefully they can play with them, but I was shocked when I watched him play.

Ok. What is your prediction for the first game against Loudon? I personally think Greenback will win by 3 tds. I've watched both scrimmage . Loudon defense is line is soft. In my opinion. And I will take Greenback by 3 in one of the two games against coalfield.

It would be interesting if 7 or 8 teams had a chance in 1a. It would make for some good football the whole season. But that's just not the case. Just like 3a. Everyone knows Alcoa is going to win it. Up until last year, everyone knew rebels had 6a . I just don't see how the same teams are in it every year. It's not all coaching!!!

It shouldn't be apples and oranges. From what I have seen it is harder to play 1a ball than 6a. I say that because 1a athletes have to play both sides of the ball because of the numbers. 5and6a have plenty of replacement. So 1a should have better athletes in my opinion. And I wasn't comparing 1a to bigger schools. I was simply saying 1a has gotten so weak that is easy to pick Cookeville contender before the first game of the year. Every year. Only 3 teams seem to be able to challenge the west year in and year out. Something is wrong with that picture.

You are right. I was thinking about that. That was the year coalfield beat Greenback in Last 10 seconds of game in playoffs. I remember my friend talking about it. His son played for Greenback that year

Looks like it would be more interesting if tssaa combined 1a and 2a . Yes I know some schools could not play with 2a school's but at least it wouldn't be the same three from the East every year. Plus the kids would have to work harder to get what they want. I personally watched coalfield get destroyed by kc the year they went to State. 2014 I think. And kc was 4a with a new coach. Coalfield won state that year. Kc was home after second round. I just think it's a Injustice to the kids not having any competition in 1a until state. Then can't play with the west.

I'm sure I will upset someone with this question but here goes. Has East Tennessee 1a football gotten so weak that the same 3 teams can be picked every year for contender to be in Cookeville??? Is this what high school football has become?

I was told coalfield trashed stone memorial . But nothing much being said about that. Lol. Said it was (Very) one sided scrimmage.

Isn't Polk scrimmaging Loudon this week ?

Is Loudon going to be in a jamboree this year? Looking like it would help, but they didn't do any under this coach before. Just wondering.

I watched sp play last year. My first time ever down there. Very nice town. But from what I seen, sp will have to be better than Greenback was last year to beat coalfield this year. But anything can happen. No team has won or lost a game yet this season.

I don't have any football players. But from the outside looking in, it looks like it's been more important to be on (The Wall) than winning the ship. Jmo. But some very good kids get over looked. Winning should come first tho.

I think Edwards will do good this year. Creed has definitely put in the work practicing for last 3 years kicking. You could be right on both. Gilbert should be, not sure about the rest.
