  1. Not to mention MC threw 28 times Friday night. So to say that MC didn’t throw the football against Smith isn’t true.
  2. I completely understand frustration. Should MC have beat Smith? Yes they should have. But anything can happen in the game of football. That’s the game of football is played. And DC is more than average. They only lost to Upperman by ten. And Portland ended Station Camp. undefeated record and has competed in every game they played.
  3. MC has quality wins against Stone, DC, and Portland. All three teams will compete in the playoffs. MC is capable of making some noise in the postseason. The smith game was a wake up call for this team showing them they are not as good as they think and have to play 110% every down of the game no matter the team. Which I’m not saying that this MC team is not good because they are a good team. I think this team is a little pissed and wants to prove they are a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.
  4. Soddy-Daisy will be the fourth place team. I also thought Red Bank would be behind Central too. https://www.chattanoogan.com/2021/10/23/437142/Red-Bank-Holds-On-For-Region-3-AAAA.aspx Here’s the link to the article.
  5. According to their news paper, they have secured their region. So it looks like we will be seeing Chattanooga Central round 1.
  6. MC is coming off a tough non-region loss to an improved Smith County Owls team. MC has already secured second in the region. Cumberland is looking to end their season strong with a region win. Thoughts?
  7. Smith County has drastically improved since the beginning of the season. However, MC had opportunities in the first half to have this game at least 21-7 but we didn’t get the ball in the end zone. Smith County had a good game plan.
  8. MC is likely to see a Red Bank team in the playoffs that is getting hot at the right time. Beat East Hamilton who is atop the region right now.
  9. 20-14 Owls win in OT. MC didn’t look like they were ready to play.
  10. The Owls are making the trip up to the ridge Friday night to take on MC in a non-region contest. Dyer is getting the Owls turned as they will be competing for region championship next Friday night. MC clinched the playoffs last week in a chippy contest against Stone and hoping to clinch a home playoff game next Friday against Cumberland. Hoping both teams come out healthy after Friday night. Thoughts?
  11. Always is a good matchup. Dyer is getting that program turned in the right direction.
  12. I have zero respect after the stunt Stone just tried to pull during the handshake. Some of their coaching staff was acting like fools and mouthing and players attempted to start a fight with our boys. Such a silly mess of a program they have over there right now. Very undisciplined and will get them nowhere. Tigers get the win 21-19.
  13. 14-13 at Halftime MC with the lead. Stone Memorial playing very dirty. @crow6424 did y’all have a problem with Stone playing dirty? They have done tried to break our QB’s ankle, taking cheap shots, etc.
  14. I would imagine that would be the case lol.
  15. It was fairly quiet in the thread when we played them too. I always remember there used to be at least 2-4 people who always posted for DC.
  16. I could see this game coming down to whoever has the ball last. Stone has a lot of players that I was impressed with physically and athletically which they have always had since we started playing them. We get one of the twin turbos back this week so it will help us depth wise at the running back position.
  17. Huge playoff implications on the line. MC is coming off bye week hoping to get back into the win column. Whoever wins controls their own destiny for a home playoff game. Thoughts?
  18. I believe you would be correct. Don’t know who would have the overall tiebreaker because DC would have beaten Upperman while MC didn’t; however, MC beat DeKalb and Upperman wouldn’t if that scenario happened.
  19. Upperman wins by 20+. Upperman pulls away with it in the second half.
  20. Clay won’t be a push over for Scott. Clay has athletes all over the field and is physical. Just because Clay is 1A doesn’t mean anything. 1A Fayetteville beat 4A Upperman earlier this year. I’m going with Clay by one score in this one.
  21. I kept saying the same thing last night. There’s no way Baxter produces those kind of athletes. The Baxter back in the day with less than 20 players compared to 60 plus now. Wonder where all these athletes are coming from over the years.
  22. I agree. Both Cumberland and Stone will be tough going to have to fight for it.
  23. I agree 100%. You take away the big runs y’all had. It’s a lot closer than the final score. Now just got to beat the crossville teams to secure second.
  24. MC and East Hamilton have a similar opponent in Portland. Both teams beat Portland fairly similar.
