haha as I stated previously this district is a coin flip...close your eyes and pick a team. 7 of the most up and down teams...anyone can beat anyone (TRUTH truth guy lol) but I am sure that was a fun game to watch as a basketball fan obviously not for any heritage fan though

oh ok idk anything about those young kids, any of them the ones getting to play in varsity games...and if I was that sr and had an issue at heritage why didn't he go to one of those small schools and be a stud because he had to know there no shot at him getting to play at wh with them being so young last year those kids were going to get the minutes this year...isn't there a school up there called ccs or something like that. That seems like the right place for that type of situation for a SR. He could do whatever he wanted on the court there....but now you are playing the if and but game haha if they stayed at heritage...also dont really count any transfers that happen in middle school. But I see your point but seems like only 2 real high school transfers one being that senior who does not get to play. Its not like they are getting studs to transfer in haha. Like the SC post player going to maplewood smh...shhhhhh

who transferred to wh...its the same team I saw play 3 times last year and the same team I've seen play twice this year...minus morgan and the seniors from last year obviously. If any transferred in they dont play i know that...but I do agree with you if "ifs and buts were candy nuts we would all have a merry christmas"

those young kids at wh have to play big minutes because their seniors have vanished with the loss of Morgan, Bradley Cole is the only sr that can help. but he hasn't yet from what I've heard and seen. (misses his friend maybe) the jr class has 2 players i believe number 20 and i think the other is 15 the football player...everyone else that can play are soph and freshmen. Now those sophs played a lot last year i think they are not as developed or advanced as the coaching staff was thinking they would be. 3 doesn't shoot enough seems like the players forget hes out there he would be option one for me and let 22 and 5 be the "role" guys 22 is a role guy for Morgan he is comfortable in that role and 5 just isn't as good as what I've heard, he has moments but everyone has moments. it could be hes just not ready for it to be his team. according to unapproved website hes a good defender just let his scoring come from his steals he gets plenty, but my go to guys the way wh plays would be 3 and 20 and just let Cole go to the glass to get his or mismatch possessions and then number 5 can be the open guy when teams start playing 3 and 20...that what i see from the couple games i saw this year and last year. as for this district everyone is right its sr loaded but that good for those teams mean they should have plenty experience but as was stated early in the year this district is ranked in the bottom 5 maybe bottom 3 in the state so it makes complete sense to me why its so upside down or no clear favorite. I've looked at everyone schedule win and losses and it makes me smile that stuff like this could happen its good for the district and fans because you just never know any given night who will win...greenbrier over heritage.... wh over gb.... heritage over wh lol...harpeth beats wh, wh beats harpeth one is at the top of district other looks like it dosent know where they stand its just up and down for the whole district sycamore has beat someone i saw and then lost to someone i thought they would have won so I am hoping I can make this district tourney because every game is a coin flip good luck to the rest of the year. If I cant make the district I will at least see four of y'all at the region!!

The truth of the matter is this year could not have set up any better for heritage...new coach at harpeth and westmoreland...injury bug to cheatham and greenbrier...white house lead by a young group of players so its a coin flip everytime they walk out...sycamore is sycamore some days looks like they can play other days have no business being out there, Tournament is in their city so they dont have to travel, they have scored the most points they have had all year in that gym (via unapproved website) so they must shoot well there. Its their season to lose but what I have noticed from all of coach Petrone teams over the past 20 years or so is they all peak before christmas and its the same team at the beginning has it is at the end of the season. which is why I am willing to bet very few of his teams have won at tourny time. The worst thing that could happen to them is if they somehow lose 2 or 3 games in the district and dont finish first to get the bye and face like wh in their gym or a healthy cc if their best player can make it back... I am not saying this will happen but man that would be devastating if it did...good luck to this district for the rest of the year basically district only left I believe.

Yea I like the University of Cal chances 10-4 on the season getting beat pretty bad right now to a good UCLA team I wouldnt be too worried about it if I was you man!!

So I just read the report in the Tennessean about this incident in a kentucky tournament were they had to leave the championship game and 2 suspended and 1 kicked off. Due to what they called team violations not a hazing incident. I dont buy that why mention hazing if there was no hazing? Just say team violations and leave it at that. Also said name of player dismissed was not mentioned? Why not? The other 2 kids names were mentioned...anyone know anything about this? who got dismissed? what went on? Seems a little bit iffy to me...just curious and concerned

IMO you should be able to get whatever you are trying to get in an offense within 45 seconds, no matter what you are running. On the other side if you are trying to run something and the defense plays good defense for 45 seconds they should be rewarded the ball. Everyone is looking at it as the counter to a stall ball game. Which obviously it would but I dont think that would be the main reason because like some of you have said how many times do you see a stall ball game. It would be more or less just to increase actual basketball, which is a good thing.

49er I try to give you slack since you seem to be someone in favor of the district I'm associated with...but to say they have no shot in their gym you're an idiot and obviously don't understand basketball at all. especially high school ball... accept it! Do I think they will win the region, no. But can they win a game, absolutely. I can promise you if they play MLK in the region MLK is going home with a L. According to a parent MLK beat them by ten in their gym and wh only hit 2 three's the entire game with plenty of open look's. No chance they miss them in their gym period.

First off I would like to say I'm for maplewood,w with that being said wh got absolutely hosed last night. Those three refs completely took a great game 5 points I believe maybe 4 at the end of three quarters and swallowed the whistle the entire 4th as a basketball fan it was a great thing to watch for 3 periods. As a maplewood fan I'm glad they swallowed it. But to be honest I wanted to see the game called the same way in the fourth and I believe it would have been a one possession game with us winning at the end of course!haha I expected to walk into the gym (nice gym btw) and see 3 white refs at least 2 but no wh had 3 black guys that's obviously going to play into the favor of a pressure team. So with the district and region being there wh should have no problem winning the district and don't be surprised if they "shock" someone on our side. They shoot the ball way too good especially in their gym. No more talk of no one in 9aa can compete with our district I promise you there's one team that can especially with it being in their gym. They played 2 SR and if the game was called the same for 4 quarters who knows how it end's. That's a real dangerous team come tournament time IDC what they do in the season because like I said district and region are there and they shoot lights out The only thing about them that I don't like is when the refs changed the game they aren't as scrappy as an all white country team should be or at least you think they should be. I know playing back in the day when we had to go play the country team's you knew you were going to get beat up loose balls they looking to land on you dive take legs out. But wh plays more like a soft private school or a scrappy private school soft public school ball if that makes sense...so if you get physical it's not that they can't play anymore it's just that they don't really get after like you would expect a bunch of country boys would do...need more Larry Bird's lol less JJ Reddick ....great game though just wish the refs didn't make it a no contest. The final no way suggest how good or close of a game this was. Ask the boys I bet they don't want to play them again

no one from cc since they are all hurt I am sorry to hear that love watching them play for that coach sycamore again no one harpeth idk much about them we have never played them greenbrier has a kid not sure his name or number but he was a soph or jr last year so I know hes back and was pretty good last year westmoreland has a big body post player who actually impressed me some again idk his name as I only keep with one team from this district because some of their kids play aau with our kids heritage as the guy that played wr for them he is decent at times he has decent scoring nights because he is all they have, if you just look at box scores he impresses but if you watch the game its not overwhelming wh has the freshman from last year that made all tourny dont know if he is doing anything this year or not I was at the MLK game and he was a no show there but I never base anything on one game if you know basketball at all you can never do that, also they have the tall lanky sr would be first choice probably with Morgan moving on to prep school. so all in all a couple teams have no one view teams have a workhorse and one team has 2 shots but who knows and who really cares because this isnt golf or tennis and if all you are looking for is individual accomplishment then you are in the wrong sport its a team game and tournament game at that so its way too early to be worrying about MVP or whatever they call it..I will say this of those players mentioned whichever one of them have the best record, is who will win the award

Don't agree... Maplewood whites Creek... White house is even with all the others. But shooting teams can beat anyone at anytime and white house is definitely a shooting team.
