Porbably because it is entertaining. sports 24 you are right, but the post states sumner county school, i think that everyone just responds to hhs becasuse so many of the kids have gone to school with each other since grade school. This will be my last post on the subject. I understand hhs having nothing to gain by playing jp2. hhs is required to play district games that really provide little competition. For all the other county schools esp. station camp and whitehouse, you should play jp2 if it could be sheduled. The bison cup had david lipscomb, goodpasture and portland I guess they think they are on the same level as the mighty hhs. Also SOCCERDAD, its interesting that people complain about schools recruiting individuals that play at a high level on the field, no one says one word about when they recruit the excellent and gifted student.

Does this happen in Football..no linesman NO. High school soocer players wear no pads, kiddie shin gaurds if they can get away with em, and it should be mandated that a game should have a center and two linesmen. That is it. No more two man system. Players are too fast, too strong for only two officials to watch the game. I have read a ton of lucid, insightful and well thoght out post on this forum to beleive that someone does not have an idea on how to correct this situation. What a great project. I am sure that you would get extra-credit. I do not buy the money issue in all cases. Think. You can come up with a solution. 2 may system is, well it is not good. Any ideas? You deserve better.

Do you all play JV? I think that you can only roster 22 with TSSAA and if you make state the number is less.

This is not directed at you, but you compared a 5/0 score,jp2 was soundly defeated, to hhs and sumner county shchools( the post ) not playing the shool in question. This has more to do with coaches egos than anything. You are right that hhs would win. No question. We are talking about playing. I saw the hhs starting line up tonight, great players that are well coached. JP2 will be fine over time, I guess it is easy for David to want Goliath, but do not give me that deserving bunk...Plummer has the players because of the fever/tusc program and one will see with the addition of Station Camp/jp2 and the new high shcool that will be in the county in the next 6 years that the success of hendersonville soocer will be determined by itself rather than the select program that it has rested upoun.

What in the heck are you talking about. Sure they might win, but i watched h'ville play wilson central and put 5 or 6 in the net in the first half. Both schools within 3 miles of each other and your speak of one deserving something the other does not. Do you live in the area? I guess you think that Henry County is more deserving......3 hour bus ride. Anyone that think JP2 would win is looking through rose colored glasses and is optimistic to a fault, but does that mean that they should not play? Or are you one of those that think that the government knows more than the governed. H'ville is a power, no question or doubt. JP2 will play fanklin. cent. farragaut. germantown. Houston Co. BGA. and Brentwood High. All of these teams should beat JP2, but that did not keep them from playing.. you are right H'ville is a much much better team, but they are a much much better team that alot of teams on their schedule. One thing has nothing to do with the other.

i was at the game tues. night and it wasnt as lop-sided as u might think. Yes, ryan is a very good team and is probably the better it was no walk in the park. Up until about 20 min left in the game Ryan had the lead 1-0 while jp2 was making it very competitive with a couple missed chances. Ryan scored a 2nd goal from a corner and after that jp2 gave up and let ryan score 3 more in the last 10 min of the game. Overall, ryan was the better team and deserved to win but it was very evenly matched throughout the first 60 min of the game. In fact jp2 had a slight edge in possesion during the game but just couldnt get a goal with 2 or 3 quality saves form the ryan goal keeper. Good game.

How far west is LHS. Is it located in jackson or closer to shelby county?

I do not know what the rule, but there has to be a standard. Soccer balls are like golf balls.....all met some wide regulation, but carry differently on the field. I would like to hear some comments about the balloon balls and bricks that you have had to strike during a game. If there is a standard, it is not being followed in my opinion

I know this is off the topic...jp2 tied cenntenial high 2-2. Good game for a young team, but jp2 led 2-0 and could not hang on for the win. Two games played no wins but this tie and one other against Franklin High

From the $100 bill passing hills of koxville till the lack of attendance requirement of shelby county...there are great soccer players. One.... just one.... has been invited to play with the national u/16 team in Ireland during the month of April. Anyone who knows, played with or against Daneil Kelly would be hard pressed to say that could come up with a better player than Daniel. Hendersonvile Tennessee......not Memphis, Nooga or Knoxviile. The BEST sophomore, junior or senior comes from Sumner County Tennessee. Put that in your protein shake and hope for the best.

The best Coach....the one that is coaching you. They are given little monetary compensation. They do this for many reasons. They are talked about because they did not play "billy" because "billy's dad" thinks he should not ride the pine. Listen to him/her. Ask question.... do this at the right time. You are not stupid, do MORE than you think the him/her expect... The coaches at Baylor, BGA, HHS and Brentwood are great, Look at what the leadership at FRA has accomplished. I will let you in on a secret, there is something brewing north of Nashville and its coming and it should be fun to watch.........

Tullahoma lost to an underrated JP2 team last year..I saw the game and have watched my share of high school soccer, I saw good players on the pitch, but I did not see anyone that could be considerd as the BEST player in the state. Maybe someone was injured..I do not know.

What was Tullahoma's record last year. The measure of a great player is making average players good and creating situatuions that allow good players to make great plays. Michael Jordon, Roger Staubach and Pele are examples of this principle. Maybe I am slow, but untill this team acheives more as a team that a single play can be considers as great...maybe the others should step up.

Early season prediction...Hendersonville garners state title. They maybe young, but no visible weakness. Keeper strong as beaver's teeth. Defense well tested, midfield is responsible, respectful and dangerous. Up Top they have speed, skill and they play soccer...not the weekend select crap...serious ODP and region players. Coach knows what he is doing, been there 20+ years. We can talk all day, but at the end of May Hendersonville will still be playing. Will you???

I dont know why there is so much hype about station camp this year. Yes, they do have one great player in Matt Hanning and maybe 2 other effective players, but nothing to be too excited about. I look for their season to be the same as last year with them being dominated in about 90 percent of their games. with the upcoming players they have it should only go downhill from there
