  1. Zone Read, don't run rampant. Keep your stuff together without Wildcat84 around.
  2. Especially not in D2-AAA cbg. I would have to agree there. Great insight on MUS. I always expect them to be contenders. That makes sense why Baylor beat them. MUS used to have a QB factory running out of there.
  3. You would think that with all the money Father Ryan is paying Rector (obviously rumors) that the administration would be behind him more than they were Lussier.
  4. Appreciate the West insight!
  5. Middle/East 1) Ensworth 2) BA 3) Baylor 4)MBA 5)McCallie 6)Father Ryan 7)PJP2 West 1) MUS 2) CBHS 3)Briarcrest 4) St. Benedict
  6. I wouldn't mind getting some knowledgable opinions from others. Middle/East Brentwood Academy- Obviously going to be one of the favorites. A lot of that will be dependent on Schoenwald. Oatsvall is one of the best players BA has ever had. Tough loss mentally for BA. With so much skill returning and a decent line they should be tough to beat. They always seem to get some surprising transfers as well (Sirmon). Ensworth- Wow do they have a lot returning. I've heard they have a QB and a lineman that were ineligible this year that are very good. You would think King and Clifton are all they need. If they could put King at receiver with Malloy, wow that's scary. I think they will be competing with BA for the middle region. MBA - They will obviously have a good o-line and well coached defense. They always have a good o-line and a well coached defense. I'm not a big believer in Allen at QB. He seems average at best. Without Ty they are going to need more than average IMO. Will they have the skill players to compete for first? Euverard will definitely have them in it. McCallie- Who replaces Riddle? Potter is an outstanding offensive mind but it seems they never finish. I believe there running back was a senior as well right? We all know they will put up points. I believe their defense will continue to be a sieve. Hard to win consistently when you have to score as many points as they do. Baylor - Another extremely well coached team. If they could ever find a QB they would be so much better. You would think with their ability to pull kids from all over they could find one this off-season. I'm not knowledgable enough but maybe they have an up and comer? I've heard they have had some good freshman teams the past couple of years. Sorry Father Ryan and PJP2. Maybe 2018? West Then land of the unknowns. It seemed like Briarcrest was much improved under their new coach. He was new right? Will this improvement continue? MUS went undefeated and then lost to an average Baylor team? Was MUS young? What was the deal there? Don't get me started on CBHS. How does a school with that many boys not consistently push for the championship each year? Blows my mind. Sorry St. Benedict. Football obviously isn't very important to you. I'm obviously not that knowledgable about the west. Any insight Memphis guys?
  7. NCS also has some of the best coaches in the state. That makes a huge difference.
  8. You're probably right but you have to agree that it got harder.
  9. I still think it's funny that Lipscomb did whatever they could to not be classified with the big boys. Aren't they bigger than BA and Ensworth? Obviously it's probably best they are in D2-AA.
  10. What did Zone read do to you to make you so mad outside of poor grammar?
  11. Any insight on Hillsboro? I thought they were losing a lot.....
  12. It's hard for me to believe a school so much smaller than Lipscomb (FRA) will finish ahead of them. You very well could be right though! You are booger! BTW I said CPA will do the best in the middle region. Ingle will have the boys ready. Webb is a different story out east.
  13. 1) CPA 2) Goodpasture 3) BGA 4) Lipscomb Academy 5) FRA in the middle region
  14. Zone reads point is that playing QB in 5A, 6A, and D2AA is a lot different than playing QB in 1A and 2A (I've seen some decent ball in 3A). Just turn on the film or watch the games. There is a huge difference in defensive play. The QB position will always be the hardest position to predict going to a new level (High school to College and College to the NFL). Identifying a linebacker is a lot different and easier. Zone read can struggle at getting the point across. Riddle is currently ranked the 13th best prospect in our State and has two offers (Mercer and Western Carolina). Someone is going to get a steal!
  15. I think he is more of a Zone Read hater than a BA hater. If BA and Trinity play again next year it will be a great one. BA should be really good IF Schoenwald can get the job done.
  16. I love reading Zone Read's post. He keeps coachT entertaining. He has gotten better at not letting Wildcat get under his skin. He does have a big trump card though. BA usually wins.
  17. Why beat yourself up with a really hard out of division schedule? I agree that challenging yourself with one nationally ranked team a year is a good idea but the end goal is a state championship. BA has plenty of competition in the league. No reason to beat yourself up. Take the easy wins when you can. Too bad local teams won't take the opportunity to be the easy wins. It does come full circle as I don't want CPA playing BA.
  18. Yea what Spartan said! (nice research)
  19. Pope John Paul would beat Whitehaven
