Might as well put on my Green . As I was saying, Elizabethton has a really nice program but with that said,they have always had some fine athletes and very competitive teams.If any team not in Greene county or Kingsport is going to represent, I'm glad it's Elizabethton.Hang with me here with a little family history.As I've said before,my mother in - law came from Carter county.Even better is my wife,mother and mother in- law all have Elizabeth in their names. My father in-laws last name is Carter. I do also believe Elizabethton was named after a person named Elizabeth Carter and the county after her husband,Landon Carter.So,how can I possibly pull against Betsy !

Win or lose,just like last week. These young Devils are going to be something in the future.Not to bad tonight !

Agreed. This year, Elizabethton is the returning state champs and have most of their weapons back.Plus,they had a convincing first game against the Devils.By no means is anyone saying Betsy can't be beat this week or in coming weeks, but yes the favorite is the home team next Friday.One might have had an argument in last year's second meeting because many really thought there wasn't a solid choice until Elizabethton proved themselves again but this isn't last year and darn sure not two years ago.

I really do feel bad for those AC seniors.They are the ones that put it all on the line and fell short.Fans talk the talk but it's all about those young men at the end of the day.The same will play out this week and a couple more times until there is one winning team for each class.

I'm afraid this is the correct answer.Strong up front ,plus great athletes and a very solid coaching staff.Yes, anything is possible and that's why you play the game.It was the same deal for our Devils in 2018,they could have been beat by an underdog but it wasn't going to be easy.Elizabethton knows these Devils have potential and they also know if you don't win this week,there is no next week.I hope the young guys can give it their best and win or lose with class.Shake hands like a man before the game and except the outcome by doing the same afterwards.

It was a good win for a young team but there is no way your experienced team will not be prepared for the Devils.This is all you can ask for, a shot at the champs,win or lose.

What was just ugly in the first half turned into a classic playoff game by the end. Not just because the Devils won ( that didn't hurt anything ),but it was a fun game to watch . I was thinking of that Central hail Mary on the final play and glad of this outcome instead .

Not much more I can add . AC has the experience and strong play up front and the great back.I would be pretty upset against a young team like the Devils if I were in the AC locker room at the half. I'd love to see an upset but this would be the biggest waste of talent by an AC coaching staff if it happens. The winner better bring something different next week.ugly football.
