DB needs a good long drive to let their D rest

Still, I appreciate DB for doing this and many Indian fans and former players can watch from all over the world.One of my former player sons can watch from Vegas .I remember one of his team mates CS, losing his helmet against Elizabethton and didn't stop  running.

I think I just type in Dobyns Bennett football and it is there pretty quick

Oh,I've took a lot of heat over the bands as well. I don't care if it's DB ,Greeneville or UT's band .I hate it if a play is being run and the band is playing.I remember DB's band started up when they had the ball first and goal at South several years ago in a very close game. DB fumbled the snap and I was beside myself.Bad enough if your band  plays when the other team is calling a play at the line but down right { can't say enough } if your own team is running a play.

I have to admit it,I'm no fan of cowbell's myself. I know about every fan base has them ,including the devils,but they are not for me. Goes back to a game myself and I think BVD were at between UT and Mississippi state.Yes, we were pretty much in their section and maybe my own fault for being there.Maybe it was just one ring to many and right in my face.That said,I asked the guy nice to put it away and he done so,at least that's the way I'll say it today.

I wondered when my youngest Indian played on one of the better 9th grade teams I've ever seen in 2014 at DB.The Greeneville JV team was their only loss and that I understand because Greeneville knows what a strength program is and another year makes a difference . However, the Crockett JV team gave them a good game over there but must have left some of their studs at home when they came to kingsport for the 2nd meeting, at least it seemed that way.Some teams play to win and some use the JV for what it is supposed to be.

I'd have a hard time understanding the two game  thoughts as well. I know that even back in the seventies as a 10th grader,I'd play offense during the JV games and then Linebacker on friday nights.Young men have done that ever since.I never forget seeing a MW starter from the friday before playing where he started on JV as well. I talked the Devil JV coach into letting me play Linebacker that day. The MW players seemed to be at half speed for me that day,I lived in the MW backfield .Shame that I went girl crazy and playing football became a distant thought.

On paper, the Devils should win. On the field, you never count out a MW team.Maybe MW had some things to iron out ,just as Greeneville needs to. If the game happens, maybe the Devils start clicking and become the team I think they are capable of being.

Then it finally happens but it doesn't....

For any school in NET to schedule a game with Alcoa as DB and Greeneville have over the years,it's really something for the local fans to see the best program in the state . Yes it really stinks not to see how it plays out. Hey,sometimes a cupcake like Austin Peay can make things interesting.Glad the Vols were not playing Appalachian state or maybe that UT from another state.

Like everyone, I want to see these games finished and if my team wins or takes a loss,shake hands and except it. I'd much rather be mad at some poor guy who made the call {right or wrong} as to be  mad at the same guy because 10 or 15 people got struck and killed by lightning over a football game. Sometimes we forget just how dangerous a storm can be. 

Best of luck Alcoa going forward and as always, bring another gold ball back to East Tennessee..

I'm a long ways from being a preacher Lawnman, but do remember a few things. Probably shouldn't have nearly quoted the bible but I knew he was just trying to bring out the Devil and not the Greene kind...

Sometimes it just doesn't go the way we want.The very first UT game I took one of my younger boys to see was UT vs Marshall in 2006.He was about 7 at the time and I wanted him to see the band and all the things that go with big time football. Anybody remember that night .Well , the band didn't even form the power T before the game or play at the half ,if I remember correctly.But,the Vols won and the game was played after a big delay..

Yep, I don’t count them early but I’d bank on the Elizabethton vs Greeneville winner  being the top seed .

Greeneville just needs to keep improving and tighten up a couple things. If every part of their game is clicking, they will be hard to beat in 4a but you have to be complete every week when that time comes.

Things like the fake punt and a great punt to pin the Devils are part of the game. Big pressure and a huge defensive play and the game is tied. Big momentum change and that pumped the Alcoa defense up. Would’ve should’ve could’ve is what I just text BVD . 

Hate that if it does end. Those storms just roll right on this side of the mountains, that’s where those terrible tornadoes hit a few years ago. 

My Bat radar says the weather is towards the river down that way but if they wait long enough it will make it into Greeneville.
