Keveyon Roller is there also.  It’s a shame that both Roller and Ivy can not compete at individual states this year.  A Roller v Corday would have been a heck of a state final and putting Ivy in at 20 would have made that weight really exciting with Dlyrimple, Braman and Ivy.

Lakeway Christian received a large multi million donation from a donor last year to build sports programs at the school.  They hired Tony Deangelo who has built a really strong youth program in East TN as their wrestling coach. I think Tony is one of the best coaches in the state so I expect that he will build a D2 power wrestling program over the next few years.

So, they can wrestle during the regular season but not postseason? Are the freshman kids here allowed to wrestle at the individual state tournament?

  2. Not saying Houston or Ravenwood aren't good enough to beat Oakland or Murvul if they dont come to play. But I honestly think the East semis game is the championship game in 6A. Now, to your point, if the East rep thinks they've won just by showing up in Cookeville, they very well could walk off the field with regret and a L. However, I dont see Murvil or Oakland's HC or seniors letting that happen. East rep wins going away, again. I've been wrong b4 on way more important stuff but that's just my $0.02.

Which ever team comes out on top in this game  will win the state championship game by 4 TDs.

32hammer, I'm with you on this one! Total domination by East representative in 6A the past couple of yrs and one of these same two teams will be back again with several players who have been there, done that, and got a tshirt that they've done wore out to prove it.

  4. Gotcha, most predicted us to get blown out both times we've played Haywood these past 2 yrs and we went 1-1. Hopefully, we continue the trend of the past couple of yrs and the home team will come out victorious. I know Haywood we be a tough team to beat but Coach Wilson and his staff will have a great gameplan and hopefully the kids are able to execute it. Go Jackets

I didn’t get to go tonight.  How is the field after three games?  Will it be in good shape for next

Field got tore up. Wont bother me if it gets worse. Don't see us moving this game to a turf field either like others have done in the past :D. I like our 4×4 rb's, and team for that matter, in the mud. Dont think we want a track meet with Stacmot and his crew. Haywood is probably the closest thing to a MNPS team(size and speed) between Nashville and Memphis, regardless of classification.

  6. I hate to be the bearer of good and bad news, but the Jackets longtime friend, @copacanobra has been spotted, but not how we all had hoped for. A few of us had formed a search party today and went looking for our old friend who was last seen in the presence of his wee little blue devil friend with the tucked tail headed back up Hwy 76 east. Our search led us to the WHHS back parking lot dumpsters and it is there that we saw his face on an empty milk carton. Seems like he dont wanna be spotted in person this week. However, we did find a sign near WHHS and in big letters it stated... Go JACKETS!!!

Everyone stop what your doing and go get copacanobra on this threat saying he hopes the Jackets lose! NOW!!!

THIS is the official "Amber Alert" for @copacanobra. All authorities have been notified and we have issued an APB to be on the lookout for a small blue "devil" with a tucked tail headed up Hwy 76 east. Said devil was the last individual seen accompanying Mr. Copacanobra. Please reply back to the 'T' if you have any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Mr. Copacanobra. Thank you very much for your help!

It’s after 4 AM and I just checked the radar.....the forecast still the same :thumb:. Im expecting a big crowd. Safe travels Hardin fans.

I, as well, am expecting a big crowd tonight to cheer on the Yellow Jackets. If I'm not mistaken, the Yellow Jackets are the only show in our county that's still playing. I believe you can also say that they are the only show left playing in all of Cheatham, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner counties combined. That being said, there should be plenty of high school football fans 'round these parts looking for something to do on a Friday night. Come on down the road and watch some playoff football. It's just a short drive down Hwy 49 or Hwy 76 for y'all, especially for those that straddle the RobCo/SumCo line. Go JACKETS!!! #SPT

Great game plan by the Bobcats.

Also, Stratford cant get a 3rd down stop to save their lives. The questionable roughing the punter call at the start of the 2nd half (the one time Stratford held GC on 3rd down) when GC was punting from their own endzone didnt help either.

Correct, the only split was for the dual championship (small school & large school) with one division for the individual championship.

Can anyone guess the only small school dual champion to win the individual tournament in the same year?

I'm gonna take the odds and say Pigeon Forge with their recent (6-8 yrs) dominance in A/AA.
