Why not start it up as a charity match up proceeds go to help or build up a school program that fights for funding or gym space. No matter what division we all love wrestling and the more kids involved the better the competition will develop into!

The Willis kids are a great group of kids and all are multi-talented at a competitive level, I might add. I believe Alonzo heyward would be the victor with any 160 around. I think he had a 33-3 record but that was at 182 this year, if all my information is correct.

Taketop a 185 pound man can keep a 2000 pound bull on the ground if he controls the head. What makes you think a kid with a strong upper body and good grip couldn't do the same to an opposing kid the same size, no matter how talented the opposing kid is! I saw it happen at least four times this past weekend alone! The kid even took out a lot of people's favorite to win!

It was still some of the best wrestling if seen in a while. I saw several that didn't wrestle to their capabilities but I didn't see any that didn't deserve to be there! Hope they all are ok today and wish all those young men and women the best life has to offer! Bobcat dad get that boy healed up so next year region 3 can turn him loose on the others.

Any reasonable adult would understand where you are coming from on your comment. I questioned myself many times this weekend on what my understanding of stalling was, but it is what it is. I'm sure people will take my comment as a shot at the kid but it's not. These kids for the most part go out and fight with the integrity that they are taught by their coaches. Some coaches teach kids to use the rules to their advantage, i and most of the coaches and parents I know are against anything that can be viewed as dishonest. I do however see the same schools over and over throughout the years with kids that as their in danger of being pinned or gassing out seem as they are hurt, match is stopped they get a little break, start back like nothing ever happened. I don't see it happen in most schools, just certain ones. You all see it, you can't deny it! Losing contacts twice in a match, headgear malfunctions twice in a match, running of the mat crying in the middle of a match, twice. Then the other kid catches the stalling calls.

Heyward is the best technical wrestler I've seen in along time. That young man is impressive.

I would have liked to have seen the outcome of the baiamonte vs diviney with out the bs stalling tactics. Baiamonte ripping his own headgear off and acting like there was an issue with it twice, then looking for his contact twice. He won on points but a true 3-2 minute rounds of no interruptions of actual wrestling. I think someone else would be in that spot this morning!

I only see 2 individuals that don't pose a threat in the 195 weight class and that is not saying they are bad wrestlers. I feel it is a stacked weight but from all the matches I've viewed, I feel it is region 3's to lose. I don't have a dog in the hunt either, i competed at or near that class many moons ago and think I read competitors pretty well. Again I'm not knocking him, all should be honored to be there!

I picked Coffman at 145 but, I would like to add if camper comes in focused and determined like I know he can. He will sweep 145 like it was nothing! No disrespect to any of the other competitors but he is on another level when he shows up 100%.

Look at you being modest gobobcatd. I can understand that and appreciate it! The only reason I don't have lynch boys at 195 and 220 is the only two guys that I think can beat them have the advantage of this being their last high school chance at glory! That can also be a double edge sword though. I wish them the best of luck!

Come on folks, I know there are more thoughts on the matches than this. Has to be some proud coaches or dads on here with some input. I don't know all the competitors but you all do! Tell us who you are willing to bet the farm on!

No elaboration was giving to whether he is sick or an injury. The way I took it was injury but don't want that to be taken as fact, and don't want to wish anything on anyone. I hope and pray they all go in 100% and come out the same way!

Fargostrut I was under the impression that heyward is not 100% on point right now. I hope I'm wrong and I don't remember where exactly picked that information up. I also would like to add my predictions are no where near what I hope or want to see. I really think region 3 wrestlers will upset a lot of predictions if they go in healthy and focused. I also would not be surprised if we don't have at least a couple real underdogs beat the singlets off some studs!

I've been watching these kids compete for years. You don't get to the caliber of athletes they are by backing down! Those young men would fight a bear. Coaches and parents have to intervene to keep them from permanently damaging themselves! I can say without any doubt those boys want to wrestle as much as we want to see it happen, if not more!!!

I can't Wait to see Tanner and Zac tie up. I've been watching both those bulls for years and I love to see them compete!

I thought the 160 match between page and sycamore was the best match of the tournament but I might be biased. Both kids went at it and fought hard. You can't take that from either one of them!!
