Great Job,River Henry and to all Tennessee wrestlers. Ive watched the Duals, Individual, and now this Prep Nationals. Proud of all the kids that continue to toe the line and give everything they got for 6 min. Takes alot of courage to put yourself out there, each and every time while so easy for bystanders to pick you apart. Great wrestling young men.

A top highschool wrestling program has everything to do with money, recruiting, and feeder programs., without them you wont have a top flight program very long. You arent saying the example given couldnt be pulled off to benefit a program, and lets not bring the kids into the conversation, they are kids. Parents and Coaches of the benefiting programs make these kind of things happen, and make no mistake ive seen all kinds of krazy pulled off to bring kids into a wrestling program. Great wrestlers arent born they are made, and if you havent noticed they dont make alot of them.

If this is the case, what would stop a private school from becoming a feeder for a public school. You could bring in athletes from out of zone, send them next door to wrestle...sounds like a plan. Now, who's got big money around here.......

A boxing analogy, sounds like something a booger would do. Lets go with it , IF, they construct a wall around the out of bounds line so that we can be sure there is no escape from combat. Just sayin

Stalling should be called quick, this would fix the slow down game of the match. If its coached , you can look to see if one is backpedaling to edge of mat constantly. usually putting up force right at edge, expect a circle in shot..they do this so if the shots no good they on edge of mat and can go out of bounds quickly to reset the match. Over my years ive seen 2 of Tenessees most dominate teams get win after win using this tactic,..the refs need to pace the matches better

I think Boykin and Henry have wrestled this year, not sure about Sammy but they have in the past. Both were better than Henry at the time they wrestled. Henry is a state champion, a junior, and I think he would survive a match against either the aforementioned great wrestlers. I would like to see the Trojans return to previous glory as well, excuses get old and worn out quick.
