  1. Officiating is different in different parts of the state. Middle Tennessee officials have a tendency to call a lot of fouls and the further west you go the more they let them play. during the post season you may have middle tn officials in west tn or northwest officials in south west or west officials in middle. It makes it hard on high school kids but ultimately each game is officiated a little different so the earlier post by KWC of you have to adjust is spot on.
  2. I say if the NBA is serious about a developmental league there will be a significant amount of dollars thrown at it which will make it very interesting to young kids. I would love to see kids being eligible for the draft out of high school and then a 2 year wait if they are not drafted out of high school. Also would not mind allowing kids to have an agent that is approved by the NCAA and allow them to enter the draft and return to college if they are not drafted.
  3. I just learned the other day that he is coaching at Memphis Mitchell
  4. If the NCAA does not do something to redefine who is an amateur then the NBA is going to get all the best players out of high school and send them to a developmental league and pay them enough to make it worth their while. High school kid graduating high school: Which do you pick? Playing hoops for 50 to 150K a year or more with no restrictions on your ability to make money of of your hoops abilities... or free education and playing 35 games a year while the universities get rich because people want to come watch you play? I know it isn't all about the money but kids go to school, so they can get a good job, and make a good living for them and their families. 100K is a pretty good living.
  5. Not sure about this one. I don't think anybody can beat Hamilton or East. Douglas is pretty good too.
  6. This will also open up 3AAA to someone other than East to have a chance to win. LOL
  7. Here is the ESPN link to the story that is talking about Penny to University of Memphis http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/22672236/memphis-tigers-looking-firing-tubby-smith-bringing-penny-hardaway
  8. Hamilton Livingston Academy South Side Stratford
  9. What a great coaching job by Coach Fuller. EVERY YEAR. 14 AA sends a team to the state tournament.
  10. they lost power and had to change gyms... wow. Douglas ended up winning.
  11. Yeah most of the time 14AA wins this Region and lots of times it is a couple of 14AA teams going to substate. Nice to see South Gibson going to first substate game.
