  1. I can't really give a score either cause both of these teams have been known to have off weeks. While I don't expect that to be the case at playoff time you just never know with 15 to 18 year old kids. I will repeat what I said earlier In spite of the fact that we were down in the first game, seeing y'all play then I said I would be surprised if y'all got beat all year. Felt y'all were the lead dog in this hunt. We are much better now than we were then, but if y'all play like y'all played that night then it will be a very tough row for my Tornadoes to hoe. It can be done but it will be tough. I am glad that we are back close to full strength for Tornado football, glad we are playing y'all (cause you want to beat the best) and looking forward to a better game than we watched at the beginning of the season.
  2. Those asking about UC posters, I haven't posted much because I really don't know what to think. Our team has been so up and down with TO's this year that it is hard to know. On yalls side, even though we were shorthanded in last game I said the way yall played you would likely go undefeated. Then you lost to GC and from what yall have said about some of your other games weren't hitting on all cylinders at some other times. End result being. End result being who knows. If one team has an off night then its probably gonna be in trouble. If we both play our best it should be a slobberknocker. Actuality will probably be somewhere in middle. I expect a good fun game.
  3. Looking forward to a rematch. A week of good fun trash talking on here and a good game Friday night! Strap em on boys. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
  4. Lots of congrats and respect to Fairley. They played tough ball. 2 of the slickest running backs I have seen. We just couldn't get a good hit or even a good hand on them for much of the night. We finally started to bottle them up some in the second half but they scared me all night long. They can hold their heads high. They will likely continue to get better.
  5. Ball goes over on downs. UC takes this one
  6. They stopped us on 4th and 3. Still 28-20.
  7. End of 3rd still 28-20 but we have been on a clock eating drive, sitting on the 10 yard line 3rd and 5.
  8. Halftime 28-20 our way. We get ball first to start 2nd
  9. First mistake a fairley fumble on snap. Our ball up 21-20. 6 minutes to half
  10. End of first 14-12 us but they are driving. They're running back is greasy.
  11. 14-12 UC with 4 minutes left in 1st. They have broken 2 long runs but we gotta be averaging better than 5 yards a carry.
  12. I just wish this freaking rain would stop. Like everyone else, I feel we are in as much danger of beating ourselves with turnovers as of Fairley beating us. It seems that we have played an unusual number of games this year in rainy conditions, and the last few have been cold as well. I think that has played a role in our fumbles as well as our moving people around due to injuries. (Not to mention I am just tired of sitting in the wet cold, LOL). I don't know enough about Fairley to comment intelligently. I just know that we are as close to full strength as we can get finally and if we play our football we can stay on the field with anybody. Looking forward to a good game. Whitehaven is where I grew up. Unfortunately it is not the same place I grew up in. Won't be hanging around much reminiscing after the game.
  13. Just got word from Booster Club that it is at Whitehaven.
  14. Defense went to sleep. Let em complete a wide open long pass but they missed extra point. 21-13 UC.
  15. Pulling for you GC! Pull as much of it out of Memphis as possible.
  16. We WERE. Not taking anything away from McKenzie because their defense played great and they obviously wanted it more than we did. But, I have never seen our team look as flat as they did Friday night. Even watching them between plays there was no pep. It was like they didn't want to be there and it especially showed on defense. Again, I am not taking anything away from the Rebels, They came in with a great game plan and whipped us. But, that did not look like any UC team at fairly close to full strength that I have ever seen play.
  17. From what I have seen so far, in spite of the loss to GC, I still think Peabody may be the team to beat.
  18. I don't know enough about everyone to pick specific spots. But from what I have seen Peabody and Gibson County can play with anybody. People can read that loss to us anyway they want, let down, maybe Peabody didn't play well and GC's not that good, I have heard all that said. GC is a legit good playoff team. They never quit and kept hitting us back for the most part. Kaleb Craig was just too much for anyone that night. As for the other 2 spots, I don't wanna read too much into 1 game, but against GC we looked more like Union City than we have in any game this year since Mayfield. If that continues, I don't see how we don't get one of the spots. The last spot I don't know. My understanding is Adamsville may be down a little, and I don't know a lot about McKenzie or Halls. TCA, while not playing their best against us did show some talent, so I will put them in that 4th spot just cause I have seen them and believe they have the talent if they can consistently put it together.
  19. They made it interesting with a last minute score but onside kick failed. Final 30-22 Tornadoes. Good game GC. No quit. Fought to the last second.
  20. What is the tiebreaker after head to head. Cause with us beating GC ,GC beating Peabody and Peabody beating us head to head is a wash.
  21. 2:10 left. Looks like we gonna have a 3 way tie for first in district.
