Well I haven't been to as many games as usual this year since my son graduated, but I know like swo said that the UC team I saw Friday night was not the same UC team I saw early in the year. They have matured well. Now the fact that y'all beat Peabody says A LOT because I know for sure who and what they are. So, on paper I would have to give the Stangs the advantage. But these are high school kids and the games aren't played on paper. What I do know is this bunch has one trait that you can always expect from a Tornado team. That is they are going to come ready to play, they are going to hit hard and hustle hard, and they ain't gonna quit till the final horn blows. That doesn't mean we're gonna win the game, but that means you're gonna know you were in a game. Should be a fun one. Good luck to all and just like an earlier poster said hope it will be an injury free game so both these teams can be full strength going into playoffs.

Line definitely looked better last week. Unfortunately level of competition makes it hard to know how true that read was. Looking forward to finding out how they look against higher level of competition with our senior leader back.

I also know nothing about Houston County. But I plan to be there pulling for the Tornadoes. Wish I had known Peabody Pride was sitting with you at the first game, Woulda strolled up to say hi.

Well, hard to judge this game. All I know about USJ is what I have heard from history. They have a strong history but so do we and the game's aren't played by history. We had some good spots Friday night but some rough spots as well. That is typical though for a veer offense as the QB and backs get timing and handoffs etc down in real game activity. We usually see a lot of improvement from week 1 to week 2 and I expect to see that trend continue. Also, although we lost one senior lineman/leader for the year the other one who stayed out Friday will hopefully be back. And our line will be a little more experienced after having to shuffle around positions last week due to the injuries. Should be a pretty physical and hopefully entertaining close game. Hopefully Tornadoes improve enough to bring the W home.

Congratulations Tide. Y'all are still the man. You can't make the mistakes we made early against a good football team. Y'all made us pay. Proud of my Tornadoes. They kept fighting til the very end. Hate it's over but glad we got it all in. Good luck rest of the way Peabody!

I haven't heard anything about not playing basketball We are going remote next week cause numbers in town have been up but no players have had.

Well, I know our boys have practiced hard and believe they can win. I know y'alls coach has been preaching for them not to take anything for granted just because last game was a blowout. But, I still hope being high schoolers their subconscious is leading them to take it for granted some and we can take some early advantage of that. As much as I want to win this and continue on, I am really just very happy we got a full season and playoffs in. This is my son's senior year and he doesn't play any other sports. For him not to have gotten to finish out his last year fully would have torn me up. Best wishes to you Tide posters. It's Friday the 13th 2020, sounds like the perfect time for a long winning streak to come to an end.

Numbers in Obion County are up so the school is going virtual again for a bit. I have not heard of any active players with it though.

I might bear with you bigswo but I don't want to bare with you or think of you bare at all.

Well I called school and no one from TSSAA has called them back yet about tickets. So, Apparently parents don't get any consideration and just have to order when all tickets go on sale Tuesday. That Sucks!

Well anybody that has watched knows y'all are the better team all things considered. But we have all watched many games where the best team lost. I believe we are good enough that with the right breaks we can pull the upset. But as you said, if we both play our best and eliminate mistakes the better team should win. We gotta hope for some mistakes and momentum and we know it CAN happen. Whether it WILL or not.... well that's what makes it fun! Thanks for the good wishes. Y'all be safe too!

I agree with you Purple. All of us who have played the game know how important momentum can be. We had opportunities in the last game to seize some momentum and when we didn't capitalize the momentum headed in the other direction. Once it got going good we couldn't slow it down. So, to have a chance in this game, we have to start by playing the first half like we did the last one with the exception of capitalizing on the opportunities instead of letting them go. Then if we can do that hopefully the second half plays out differently and we have a competitive game. Obviously based on the last few years Peabody is the better team so even at that we need to hope momentum gets on our side and maybe Peabody helps us out a little. But if we start strong and capitalize, you never know what can happen. I think we are a better team than the 49-7 score showed.

Wish there was some way the playoffs could work for us to get another shot at y'all. That was a fun game and would be nice to do it again. Unfortunately don't see that happening.

Well, after a good out of Conference win last week, the Tornadoes finish the season with their last conference game. Hoping to build some momentum/confidence going into playoffs. Knocked off a pretty good Ripley team last week with probably the best defensive showing we have had all year. By record we should be able to beat Halls but can't take anything for granted. What say y'all?

75 yard drive for us ties it back up 42-42

Gave them a big play and then a couple of confusing penalty calls. Missed fake punt gave them ball deep in our territory and they capitalized 42-35 McKenzie. 11 minutes left.

UC with a stop to start the half and a methodical drive after the punt. Now up 35-28.

Halftime still nothing settled 28 all.
