Why would you "hope" he's not saying TC is next?   He didn't scare you did he?

TC would never be scared to play MC unlike Smith Co who runs and hides from TC every year when it's time to make a schedule at least MC will play TC

I was not in attendance Friday night but was told TC only ran 3 different plays with the varsity. But it is concerning that they weren't physical. :o You can be physical and not show anything play wise. Fridays game is getting more interesting by the second.

I attended Friday night and TC backs finish every play by and the defense definitely was flying to the ball with aggression TC seemed physical to me for a jamboree it seemed to me it was more about not showing anything and finishing the game with no injuries but TC does have a very physical Fullback like years in past

I can't wait its gonna be a very interesting game.

Trousdale County feels like they have a championship team. Lebanon feels like they have turned the corner and have more excitement and interest in the program than they have had in years.

So we will see this Friday. And we may not know anything for sure about these teams until they play after this week. A loss by TC doesn't necessarily mean they are unable of winning a championship in 2A. A loss by Lebanon doesn't necessarily mean they will have a bad season.

I will say this though from what everybody is saying Lebanon is a much more physically tough football team than in years past. That they are much better on the defensive side of the ball. But that they might struggle at times on offense.

They played Cookeville at the jamboree to a 0-0 tie and they held Gallatin scoreless in a 21-0 scrimmage. I don't know the score but they were said to have outplayed Stewarts Creek in that scrimmage as well.

So I don't expect a blowout by any means.

At same time it's hard to tell anything from Jamboree or a scrimmage TC starters didn't score a point in the jamboree they ran maybe 3 plays over and over at the jamboree it's very hard judge either team from scrimmages in 2 scrimmages TC won 133-21 is the combined score of both  their scrimmages  but I think both programs have better coaching staffs and both will have improved win totals this year but I do know TC future is bright they have lloy of talent we will see Friday who comes out on top I still say TC will win next Friday

I don't buy into the whole 2A versus 4A thing. It could be an advantage if you had a bunch of extra players, however Macon will dress 35-40 kids this year. Historically, Westmoreland is a much better program than Macon so why is classification only an issue if Macon wins? In reality, Macon has the kids to be a 2A program. It's about athletes. Westy used to have quite a few and Macon not so much. The roles have changed. Wait a year or two and it will probably revert back. Either way, I wouldn't get on coacht running my mouth if I were a Westy fan. As bad as Macon has been in the past, I don't think an MC coach ever went to the opposing locker room at halftime and asked for mercy... now that is embarrassing right there.

TC is looking forward to playing MC going to be a great game and we play Westy again this year but they didn't seem to have lot of speed last year and we owe MC you'll beat us on creek bank any team that does that deserve respect

  5. I just don't see Lebanon beating TC you can call it bold I just call it how I see it to me TC this year team I see a huge difference in how they practice and in their scrimmages I just feel that Lebanon isn't discipline enough to play against TC and no all I seen of Lebanon is few min of a scrimmage against Gallatin this year i really don't feel it's that bold to say TC wins by a touchdown and a field goal

I am saying this with respect RTD. A lot of what is put on this board is taken as gospel by those looking for an edge. In saying this many on here including some of the coaching staff despise the fact that many fans who are website coaches make wild and bold predictions. When you talk about a certain scheme or plays, or how great this player or skilled part of the team is, it provides our opponent with free scouting wether it is true or not. How about we hold our cards close and not give our opponents any free looks at the hand we may play RTD. Chat all you want and have fun but how about letting the scoreboard do the talking and our opponents practice for us as much or little they need to based off of what they think we will bring to the field

Your right I should and I will  let scoreboard do the talking

It's bold to say its going to be a blow out. I haven't seen either team this preseason. You've only seen 1 of the 2 teams. Your basing your thoughts on history. If that's the case then Steelcity has already given us the facts with the Blue Devils winning 64% of the time.

All i'm saying is, don't be surprised if the team in Blue and White fields a good team. I hope that TC is the better team and pulls out the win but I'm going to wait and see a few games before i go predicting 14+ pt wins. Too many unknowns at this point.

But what's the fun in that lol I don't think they will have a bad year they will be better this year but TC will be lot better team and a better coach team as WWII just like Lebanon I just think TC will be that good this year TC in my opinion should finish 10-0 this year if if they have a injury at key position they actually have depth this year with talent

Always wise there 3putt! These boys need to calm down on their bold predictions for week 1. These teams have yet to suit up for any games and game time changes everything! Ole3putt, they must be VFLs too with these preseason outburst. :roflolk:

It's not a bold prediction for any team to beat Lebanon my whole point is that just because a team is 6A doesn't make them a better team  than a 1A or 2A team and yes with talent coming back and with what I have seen from TC in the scrimmages I think they should beat Lebanon by 10 points or more and yes I'm VFL but a realistic VFL lol

Don't have to ask, seen it. I don't remember TC beating Gallatin by 31or 21. If I'm not mistaken it was a blocked extra point.  Your not playing Lebanon on the Creek Bank with the Home Cooking, I mean Home advantage, so TC won't have that advantage. If 2 coaches make that big of a difference at TC, think what 5 or 6 may do with the numbers and talent Lebanon has.

Again, TC may win, but I wouldn't chalk it up just yet.

It's more like 4 new coaches well one coach in TC before yes it was just a block field goal against Gallatin but Lebanon is no where close to Gallatin level they have been blown out by McGavock and split a series with Portland which has been down past few years TC will beat Lebanon by 14 or more points and we don't have home cooking in TC lol and yes a new HC and new D.C. And OC will make a big difference with they new offense and defense and we actually had a conditioning and a weight program this offseason bec last year TC didn't have either so yea 4 new coaches will make a difference plus TC will have more talent and speed and be more discipline team like I said it will be at least a doubl digit win for TC

Wait a minute Hoss............Reckon the Blue Devils have improved from last year on the field and on the sidelines?  And a much better coaching staff?

Just how many times have you seen Lebanon this year? Last year?

TC may win, but 21-31 points? Yea, TC has a new Coach and some of the same ones that's been there a while. Lebanon has a whole new staff.......nobody knows what to expect.

For the most part TC staff is new only 2 coachs from old staff cane back this year and one is a volunteer like I said in sure they will improve  but that takes time they won't have a advantage any where accept for more players but each team can only put 11 player on the field at a time ask Gallatin about coming to the creek bank and playing a smaller school

  11. I say it will be around a 14 point to 28 point win for TC to me that's a blow out when a 2A beats a 6A I think most the kids that are good at Football attend Watertown since it has open enrollment for Wilson Co that takes away some of Lebanon athletes I just feel your underestimating TC and giving Lebanon to much credit because of their new coach which will have Lebanon back on track but not in first year being a bigger school doesn't make you a better team lot teams have thought that and left the creek banks with a L

It would not surprise me if TC wins; however, a blowout against any 6A team is unlikely.

Lebanon has a top notch coaching staff, so if I was TC, I would not chalk this one up as a blowout.

TC has top notch coaching staff as well now with more experience than most but a blow out to me is beating them by 21 or more Lebanon has had a few bad seasons in sure they have improved but doesn't matter how many kids you have on side line you can only put 11 players on the field at a time and Lebanon won't have more speed and as far as size goes they won't be that much bigger which size doesn't matter all that matters is the work you put in with conditioning and lifting I just see this being a 14?point win at least for TC

2A enrollment means you play 2A football.

Look at it this way, 2A could possibly be easier than 1A.

Far as region play goes this year 2A looks lot easier than 1A region I'm just going to miss playing some of teams but at least we kept Gordonsville on the schedule
