  1. This game is a tough one to call. Both teams are very talented. Peabody is an outstanding rushing team offensively with that huge tailback. Defense is big and physical with an athletic defensive backfield which they're gonna need to play very well. Waverly has the best passing game I've seen in a while. Stanfield is as elusive as they come. Throws the deep ball very well.#37 Dixon is by far the best wide reciever I've seen in these parts maybe ever. Amazing how he gets open and runs under those bombs thrown by # 11. Waverly defense didn't play very well when I saw them. I feel like this will be a tight high scoring game. Didn't see # 68 on the roster. Is he one of the players that quit?
  2. Man is that Clarkrange Dresden score correct. 72-35. I thought Dresden was going to be tough.
  3. Appreciate it. We're pretty frustrated over here in Mustang land. We've had a lot of talent since 2012 and haven't done much with it. As far as Cornersville is concerned y'all have one of the most fundamentally sound teams I've seen in a while. Very well coached and a great tackling team. Reminds me of some of the old John Tucker coached Milan teams. Good luck to y'all. Lake Co better play a clean game or they're in big trouble.
  4. Surprised you don't like the turf. I really like it especially late in the season. It plays better in adverse conditions. Wonder what your kids thought about it?
  5. Thanks for predicting us past the 3rd round next season.
  6. Dang you folks are obsessed with my 3rd round Mustangs. We're definitely the prettiest girl in the room! We'll be lucky to get past the 3rd round next year!
  7. Greenfield has 3 ball players. After that they look pretty shaky. Looked to me the supportive cast is not near as good as last season.
  8. How much y'all paying your coach? I bet he's a hot name on some people's coaching board. Better get out your check book.
  9. Congrats to the Bulldogs. Best team won tonight. Great game of old fashioned football. Who y'all think won the hitting contest. Both teams laid the wood tonight.
  10. Saw the Allman Bros in Memphis at the Overton Park Shell in either 1970 or 71. One of the best shows I've ever seen. My Huntingdon class of 1969 saw Jimi Hendrix at Ellis Auditorium in Memphis on our senior trip.
  11. I never lost to Trenton either. Coach Ward and Coach Kilzer were buddies and Ward told coach Kilzer he could run the single wing and beat him. So we changed our whole offense that week to the single wing and beat y'all 21-0. That was on 1968.
  12. CB surely you know that besides football Huntingdon is entertainment center of West Tennesse. Last week we had Ricky Scaggs at the "Dixie". Dec 07 Jason Isbell is in town. You need to pick up a few Huntingdon T-shirts while you're in town.
  13. Come on CB you know better than that. Huntingdon has had 30 teams in their history to win at least 9 games. Let me brag a little. I was a 2nd string sophomore on a 1966 team that went 11-0 giving up 33 points on the season. All but 6 came on the 2nd team. Our closest game in the regular season was 27-0 against Jackson Northside. Schedule included Milan, Lexington, Paris, Savannah and Trenton. Beat Portland 21-7 in Gallatin JC Bowl. Finished 3rd in the state in the old littenhous poll behind BGA and MBA. # 1 public school in the state for a town of 3000. That's just an example of one of the many great teams we've had in Huntingdon. If you love football Huntingdon is a wonderful town to grow up in.
  14. One of our silver balls was against Alcoa. You ought to try to beating those guys. I think most Alcoa fans will tell you we played them as tough as anyone. Most of our playoff history has been 1a school playing up in 2a. Been a rough road sometimes but we got to play a lot of great games.
  15. When we installed our turf I had a lot of questions about it. It looked real pretty but how was it to play on. I can say I've been impressed with it. Footing has been great in all conditions and we've had very few injuries on it so far knock on wood.
  16. Hope that tall nose tackle is gone. He wore us out last year. Couldn't block him.
  17. Man it's been a long week. I'm a nervous wreck. Ready to play this game. Been to practice a couple times kids pretty upbeat and looking forward to playing a great ball team. I live for games like this one. Good luck to all you Bulldogs.
  18. You can add together both Moore Co and Mt. Pleasant crowds and you would fill our visitor bleachers about 3/4 full. Waverly and Wayne Co the only teams across the river that's brought any fans to amount to anything. Playing in region 6 has been pretty boring with exception of Wayne Co. We're used to playing much toughter schedules than we have to play now.
  19. I don't think you understand the history of the Huntingdon program. We've had so many great games in the past against teams like Milan, Union City, ... Peabody and others. We were probably better before the play-offs began than now. In our history we've averaged over 7 wins a season. We've hated these teams a lot longer than we've hated y'all. Last years game was a great one. Maybe top 10 close anyway.
  20. Doubt it. Been some Huntingdon vs Milan games with standing room only crowds but you'll love the atmosphere at Paul Ward stadium. Been a lot of great games played on this field.
  21. I don't know about that. # 7 is about as fast and shifty as they come. # 13 is fast smart and tough. Both very good receivers also. #9 is 6' 1" 195 lbs and is the fastest one in the back field. No one has caught him all year. If you guys are better than us in the back field then you're pretty dang tough.
