  1. That is exactly what is the problem with your team! Not much difference than last year as far as teaching these kids life lessons. As far as me young fellow I have already had a great life and lived it to it's fullest. Ive done been your age, you haven't mine yet. Due to real life situations at home, I had to take care of my very sick wife, instead of going to the game. But I will say people like you makes it real easy for people in Washington Co. on who they support in the future, Crockett or Boone. Have fun next season. Oh and don't be so sensitive, you must be a relative or he is your boss but I wasn't saying a bad thing about Chandley except his sideline control needs to be worked on. Sorry if that hurt your feelings. I guess in your eyes it wasn't Chandleys fault he was acting that way because of the refs. lol
  2. Stop teaching your kids to blame others for their actions or mistakes! I'm an old man and realize things were better way back when. LOL When these kids hear from everyone including their coaches how they where done wrong instead of teaching them the proper technique to do it right, all you are doing is giving them an alibi for life. They can always just blame someone else. When you guys start cultivating an accountability culture within your team, then you guys might not have helmets thrown on the field of play. Crockett had a great year and they played a good game against a better team. There are other kids involved here besides Crockett kids. Tip your hat to Knox Central for WINNING the game, on their own. I watched the game on TV and most the calls did have a replay and most the calls were right. If I could teach your young coach one thing, I would teach him COMPOSURE. The players will always feed off of his actions. The reporters were having a field day making fun of your coach on the sideline. GEEZ I hope Crockett has just as good of a season next year. It will take some coaching.
  3. Don't blame the ref's if your young coach can't control his players! Crockett had a good shot before their wheels fell off.
  4. I apologize for the sarcasm about TSSAA. I realize Bosken earned the ejection. My point was and is, if he was on the sideline strategizing a counter to every play you make, just like the central's coach will do, it may have been a little different. Putting in a game plan and managing game is two totally different things. Just better not take make young mistakes like taking a penalty that would have given you a 4th down instead of a 3rd and two chances to score. For the record I believe Chandley is an excellent coach too, but we all have a lot to learn when we are young in any profession.
  5. Oh Crockett does have incredible athletes, but I'm afraid to say the weakness will be in the young in-experienced coach. Coaching in them parts of the woods (Knoxville) is a whole different level. It showed with Halls, Crockett needs to thank TSSAA for not allowing Bosken to coach that game or that may have been a different outcome. IMHO I've watched Crockett football for 20 some years and seen this team come through the ranks, a boy scout leader with no coaching could win with this bunch of kids. Next year and definitely the year after will take some serious coaching.
  6. Is the Crockett boys back on track or was Seymour just that bad? Felt good watching them play with no drama!
  7. With all the drama behind and the start of a new coach, did any see them during spring? They supposedly have some good players returning including that young QB.
  8. What scandal? If you are speaking of the hazing incident, it was three or four underclassmen kids that were pulling that crap behind closed doors. There is no way to know what all 65 kids are doing at all times. His staff seemed to handled it very well as far as the administrative part. No cover ups! In fact the only thing that was covered up or not really talked about as much imo was how some of the seniors found out about the hazing and put a stop to it immediately. I can ensure you Knox Halls just got one of the best young coaches in the state.
  9. Probably one of the best young coaches I have seen in a while. Crockett messed up and let him leave for Cleveland. I can promise you one thing, if Halls gets beat in a game it will not be because they weren't prepared. Bosken is a stickler about game prep. By far the hardest working coach for the kids I've ever witnessed. Great pick Halls, you guys will go far!
  10. I just died!!!! WaCo, you made my day! That's funny!
  11. WaCo, have you heard anything about Scott Cummings from Cleveland High School? I've been hearing rumors he's getting an interview. I personally like Seals or Witten, I think DB can't go wrong with either one.
  12. Oh Lord, I didn't realize he was that young. Sounds like trouble with that program is far from over. Not much life experiences there to deal with the possibly of protest from parents or players if they don't get their way. Probably will have to wait a few seasons to get that out of them and under the right adult coaching.
  13. Well, I wish that young coach well. Seems like he has a mountain to climb. I did hear that the OC from last year is possibly staying. That would be a good choice with his offensive performance last year. But then again with the situation there it might be wise to start completely new and fresh. Devil, do you think they got a chance of having a successful up-coming season or is it going to be one of those things that it might take time?
  14. Any news on Chandley's staff? Haven't heard anything in a few days.
  15. Well, DC just reposted the position without the (Interim) Tag. Hopefully they can maybe get some halfway decent applicants. They do need to expedite this because most other schools have already got their Spring Scheduled.
  16. OMG! I think sadly enough you are right! I really need to move on! lol Thank you
  17. You forgot to add, that GS is doing this all for our youth! WTH ever! My last comment on him. Well written though and I hope the new coach doesn't have to deal with the GS followers that mostly ain't even from this area. The ones that are fro the area only care about themselves and some crazy illusion that GS is going to give them something for supporting him. He wasn't a good role model, he wasn't a team player and from what I heard he wasn't even a good coach. Anyone one of us could have won 5 games with that schedule!
  18. I stand corrected, the exact thing said was, GS denies various allegations of improper conduct. The improper conduct was insubordination, threatening other school employees along with cursing and a crap load of other stuff. Like I was saying, he better not stretch the truth if he ends up in court.
  19. You must have missed it. It was in lawsuit that his attorney filed in Federal Court. The link to it is on WJHL or maybe the JC Press. But it did state and I'm not quoting from the lawsuit, that he never cussed anyone.
  20. What a waste of time and money! I believe a lawsuit was his intent this whole time to help pay for his new house. Considering how he has already perjured himself in the Federal Lawsuit by swearing that he never cussed anyone, it might be something fun to watch. I'm sure the investigation team of the school already has several other (unknown to the public) issues that will definitely pop up during this trail. If GS ain't careful he may just land in jail or maybe leave the court with a big fine for perjury or contempt of court. IMO he needs to dropped the suit, learn from past lessons/failings of being an employee of a public institution and try to recoup some of his reputation. Especially if he wants into politics. But we all know how he is going to be and what he is going to do. GS loves the spotlight and stage. Wait a minute, I think he calls it his platform. lol
  21. Looks like GS has just been canned according to his FB! Dang I really didn't see that coming. LOL Now he is fully focused on getting the DB job and his lawsuit. Call me crazy, but I sometimes feel bad for him because of the way he sets himself up for total failure. Really doesn't GS have any friends at all that can talk to him and tell him to stay quite sometimes? or all of them just yes men? Anyway just like WaCo said, we are just beating a dead horse.
  22. I'm just curious, I played back a long time ago and we will leave it at that. lol But I remember hard nose coaches cussing out load, maybe a WTH, or S***, and in some cases a f bomb may have been dropped a time or two. But I can't remember anyone just out and out assaulting the players that way. I've been reading a lot of comments concerning the bus incident and do you guys believe that some guys are maybe embellishing the cussing they received when they played or is it real? I understand the bus video shows one incident but I have been told those kids live that cussing everyday. Especially the seniors, the seniors where allegedly told by GS that he had to get rid of them because they all were ruin from the previous coach. Just doesn't sound like a good environment.
  23. All I know is that no one or institution is going to take a chance on hiring him and then GS go off the deep end again! Some of his old coaches and close friends even said he has lost his mind! That no one can talk sense to him. He has gotten totally caught up in his FB world with his FB followers and does not realize that the rest of the world is looking at him like he is a joke. I feel a little bad for him (not much) because he has surrounded himself with YES Men/Women and kids that are only setting him up for failure urging him on instead of telling him the truth that he has gone too far and is out of control!
  24. I believe he blew his chance for a job with anybody, if the job involves being around kids or supervisors! LOL
  25. Well, Check and Checkmate! Lol That pretty much ends it all for GS. He can keep pretending he is going to fix all this but what he needs to do is dismiss his Federal Lawsuit, since he swore on a Federal Affidavit that he never cursed kids or anyone. I have heard everything since this came out from all coaches cuss or its part of football. To a certain point I have to agree. But I don't think I've ever witnessed a coach directly cussing out a kid to that degree. If we did that out on the street we could get charged with assault or at the least our lip busted. Most coaches are smart enough to direct the cussing generally when they are fired up. I'll have to say, former DC coaches like Green never used profanity in that form. So, no not all coaches cuss like in the video. I expressed my opinion early in the year on coach t, concerning this behavior after witnessing the pre-game bear-crawls and cussing of the kids. It makes one wonder if these kids had to endure this everyday? Sad if so.
