  1. I think the Eagles get the win, but I don’t think it’ll be the cakewalks we’ve had the last two weeks. Eagles by about 10-14 points be my guess.
  2. How did this game play out or what was the flow of the game? Congrats to Summertown on the win.
  3. Oh yeah, it definately effects linemen more than any other position.
  4. That's the reason I've never been a big fan of players going both ways. I understand you want your best players on the field, I get it, and it's okay they play the most minutes, but the risk of injury certainly goes up. Sometimes they only miss a game or two like you said, or it's season ending which can really put a team at a disadvantage. How good is that starting player standing on the sidelines? I'd be totally fine with a rule that limits how many minutes a player can play both ways. Not sure how you'd police that other than a hard and fast rule of maybe 2nd string has to play at a given point in a game for x amount of minutes. Maybe 2nd string is for 2nd quarter, then play whoever whenever the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarter. Gives your starters a break, and gives your backups some reps.
  5. Eagles make the long and arduous 15 min drive down Hwy 41 to play the Vikings this week. We have somewhat struggled the past two years against them yet still got the win. In the 2017 game we won it 34-22, but I'm not convinced we would have won had there been another 5 mins on the clock. They made a huge comeback in the second half. Last year was a grind it out 35-30 win. I have no doubt we have the ability to win this week, and most people will expect us to, as do I, but has anyone actually seen them play this year? I know they're 1-3 and their win was Cornersville, but that's all I know.
  6. 59-18 Eagleville. It was a good opportunity to get 2nd and 3rd string some reps.I think we played every player which is good to see. They put in time and effort through the week too.
  7. It might be a little bit of a stretch, but not out of the realm of possibilites.
  8. Forrest by 20-30, I'll also go ahead and say if they continue to play as good as they have been, everyone stays healthy, keep playing smart and limit penalties, etc., they'll win out and go deep into November. I also wouldn't fall over in complete disbelief if they get to Cookville.
  9. I beg to differ that those 3 are all we have, but to each his own opinion I guess.
  10. Yeah, I’m not sure the particulars of how we got this game, but it’s that bad huh?
  11. 2hrs 8 mins from my house. Add another 15 mins from Eagleville itself so almost 2 1/2 for the team to travel
  12. We go to Byrdstown... just over 2 hrs per google maps
  13. So what can Eagleville expect when we play Pickett Co this week?
  14. This game came down to three simple words...bigger faster stronger. Unless something goes majorly sideways, expect Forrest to make a deep run into the playoffs.
  15. We lost 18 seniors and a few to Rockvale, but most every player that could return did. I think I counted that we have 42.
  16. Over a dozen kids who could have come back this year and didn’t? What’s up with that? I get there will be a few here and there to drop out, but over a dozen?
  17. The Eagles have had 2 good weeks of just good, fundamentally sound football with few mistakes. Hopefully we’ll continue that and give ourselves a chance to win. Looking forward to another close game for the 3rd year in a row.
  18. Community lost to Moore Co 43-12, and Lewis Co did not play
  19. I won't predict a score, it's too early in the season to get a feel for what's likely to happen in a given game, but I'm confident the Eagles can win it.
  20. I really think this could be a good game. Both teams are younger and reloading from last year. Eagles looked pretty solid overall at Huntland and from the stands it didn’t appear they made a ton of mistakes. It was a “grind it out” win, so it’s encouraging that they were able to keep their composure and get the win. Will be interesting to see how Cornersville will react after the loss to Community. Will it light a fire or set a tone of gloom and doom?
