We’re both moving AA next year / Summertown played Loretto in basketball and volleyball state championships this year and split

12A same w Summertown and Loretto

Everyone seems to be dispatching Loretto to also ran Statius but they are solid and can jump on opponents pitching - solid defense - above average pitcherS - been in 2 championship finals lately so big stage no problem - Huntland better not overlook them like Houston Co did

Now we know who they are in tournament WHO you got

Grant Burlison ( Mr baseball finalist ) pitched perfect game in sectionals to move on to the Boro for Summertown

Summertown 3 Jo Byrns -1 not pretty but going back to Boro

Got good friend went to school w lives in Humbolt Dr Phil Agee ever heard of him

Kids have to have that drive to improver as well as talent - put both together and you got something - one without the other breeds mediocrity at best - good coach can bring out the lack of one or the other but only marginally

They announced it today / seemed to know what he was doing when at Forrest / we played them every year that my grands where there and yes I’m satisfied don’t know we could handle another 2 or 3 and done - I’d say he in it for long haul

Had couple kids could have gone to bigger in county school to mix w quality locals - senior class is loaded - probably be slight drop off next couple years but got couple freshmen kids didn’t even go out knew playing time was limited and play travel ball instead

Summertown 9 Huntingdon 0

Good hitting good defense / pitching adequate / better play solid to beat them

I would trade ours for yours

Don’t know what it takes to put burr under commissioner saddle hopefully not another injury w legal ramifications

Old gym around 1000 / new gym they want keep certain aspects of old gym only much larger : auxiliary gym out of question just hoping new ONE gets built - Lawrence Co great place to live but short on funds especially for north end of county

New Gym ( and campus ) have been on drawing board - other things seem to be more important

This is more exciting than NFL draft hope we hire right person - Summertown deserves & desires the right person - doesn’t have to be lifetime hire but one that makes more than 3 year stint
