  1. Go Lady Knights!! You have made us all proud with your great season. You are all terrific young ladies and incredible ball players. You proved with your win over Marshall County that you can beat anyone with your hustle and smart play. Now let's take it one game at a time and bring home the gold!!
  2. Elizabethton South Greene Upperman Livingston Academy Hume-Fogg CPA Gibson Co. Westview
  3. You're welcome Rivercat. The Tennessean says that all of the Saturday sectional games are 7:00 pm. Y'all have a safe trip over!
  4. It's at the Nashvile School for the Arts on Foster Avenue. Just a couple blocks off of Murfreesboro Road.
  5. Whart are your thoughts on this unexpected AA sectional match-up? Also, who can tell us how Camden has managed to do so well in the tournaments after finishing near the bottom in regular season district play? Sounds like they are peaking at the right time!
  6. Yes, Maria Bagwell received the Region MVP. Congratulations to her and the rest of the team for a geat Region tournament. Good luck to them and to CPA. They are both representing 9AA very well, and I predict we will have two teams in the Boro!!
  7. That's amazing. Anyone know how the game played out?
  8. Great games in the 9AA District tournament! McAlister was tough in the 4th quarter for EH when she posted up on the inside. This created a big match-up problem for East that they didn't adjust for very well. I agree that East has lots of potential to get better over the next two years. How will EH be next year after losing McAlister? It looked like they have lots of other talent as well but I couldn't tell who the next star would be. The Hume Fogg / CPA consolation game was also a great game to watch. Hume Fogg was down by 12 in the 3rd quarter but came back to win it by 2 in the last minute with Bagwell making huge free throws down the stretch. Hume Fogg's man-to-man defense in the 4th quater shut down the CPA's 3s and denied the ball to the CPA post, which allowed HF to catch up. Also, I was looking at the district tournament bracket, and all eight games ended up being a match-up of a public versus a private schools. What are the chances of that? It's great to see the pariety in the league this year -- of these 8 games, the record ended up being an even 4-4 for public and private. Good luck to all in the Region games! 9. Just curious on why you think that is unfair since a magnet school doesn't have any control over what students it gets. It's all based on the lottery. Also, the students come from all over the city so generally not many of them have played together before...
  10. I predict Hume Fogg pulls it out by 6 in a close game throughout. It should be a good one!
  11. Hume-Fogg won over Pearl Cohn last night 56 to 33. I hope the Lady Knights start getting some respect because they keep proving everyone wrong!
  12. Hume-Fogg over FRA tonight 43-40. That's two big wins in a row for the Lady Knights' young team.
  13. Yes, I would say that a "dense fog" is pretty accurate if you are talking about the defense that Hume-Fogg put on Upperman - they couldn't see through it or around it and had no answer for most of the game. Upperman was completely outmatched and were lucky it didn't turn into a blowout. The game was not nearly as close as the final score and only got tight in the last few minutes when the refs were giving a foul to Hillary everytime she got the ball. HF was up by 15 or more late in 3rd period and looked pretty awesome.... thumb
