Do you think an old school wing t would sit well at GB? Everyone loves the spread nowadays and throwing the ball around.

That’s what’s wrong with a lot of coaches and programs. They would rather look pretty and modern than coach to their players strengths. If you have the dudes to spread it out and throw, by all means do it. But if you can’t you better be willing to adapt to their skill set. Hope Greenback can get someone good. Their community and kids deserve it.

  2. NG has struggled guarding anyone with some size. Unakas Ramsey  had 30+ and hancocks post had 30+. Britton is gonna get his so if you hold the others to little scoring then you have a great chance of beating them. Also we all know how playing at Hancock is

@RodgerDodger32 what do you think about tonight?  I won't be able to make the trip.

I won’t either but I definitely think Cloudland has the better team. I believe NG is almost healthy just missing their big post unless something else has happened since earlier this week. NG in Baileyton is always tough but Matt is a great coach so I’m sure he will have them ready. I see Cloudland winning but wouldn’t surprise me if NG kept it close and maybe even squeaked one out.

Crockett seems like it would be the logical fill in. They've hosted districts for baseball the past few years.

That is where I had figured they would have it but heard that some of the basketball coaches thought it could be an unfair advantage due to being closer to a certain school. (makes no sense lol )

After the preview first half, who you got for the top spots looking now at district play? Losing only too much larger schools, Hampton seems to be playing good. North Greene has lost to CD a couple times and is always a hard out especially at NG. University High also lost to CD and NG beat them close at home.

I picked Hampton to win back in the fall with NG finishing second and UH third. I think Hampton is about 10-15 points better than everyone else right now. The only time I could see them getting beat/close game is in Baileyton next week. The way it is looking Hampton has a pretty easy route to the state tourney especially at home. Cosby is probably the best team in the other District and NG hammered them @ Cosby....I seen where Daniel Boone gym has been ruined and they are not playing there the rest of the season. Our district and regional tournament was supposed to be played there. Will be interesting to see where its moved.

McKenzie only had 1 representative on the All State team.....hmmm that seems odd, especially since only 1 team challenged us in 15 games.

I wouldnt pay much attention to the All State teams other than the TSWA one. There are several that publish an "all state" team where only member coaches can nominate players. It seems like there are 10 all state teams now.

Yeah a few weeks ago they were losing to chucky Doak and they are not a good team.  I don't understand.  We beat Johnson County last night like a drum.  Ella Benfield had 40+

Unicoi girls gave Boone all they wanted tonight. Flores girl seems like the real deal

Jason Britton is the most gifted player around here. He has scored 28 points the last two games while getting face guarded. No other player around here is gonna be able to score that much while getting face guarded.

Will be fun watching him and Buckles go at it in a few weeks.

I saw on twitter that North Greene beat Cosby by 26 on the road.  Also saw that Britton had 28 points, pretty impressive win to get at Cosby especially since it's a pretty hard place to win at.

Yepp it was not close at all. Cosby looked the part but were not very impressive at all. Britton didn’t attempt a 3 pointer and had several offensive rebounds. It looked like Cosby didn’t want nothing to do with being physical. District 1 could sweep the regional

Hampton pulled out a big win at Unicoi last night.  Unaka travels to Hampton on Friday to get the conference season rolling. Any thoughts?

Unaka can be scrappy at times but should be no match for the bulldogs especially at home. I’d say Hampton wins by 20+
