The punishments were not equal. The only team with the punishment and making all the headlines is Overton. There’s no way to punish an 0-10 team that wouldn’t care anyways.

Not this again... Nobody Recruits in Metro

Saw the game this past Friday and they were back to running the wing T. Just curious to see what would have prompted the move to change the offense.

What's going on at Wilson Central? Change in the offense? Always been a spread team. Surprised to see them lose against Rossview....

Don’t kid yourself there are some coaches who will bad mouth a program to students to get them to come to their school. Those are they same coaches that go to middle school games of their non feeder schools. I agree about the students wanting to go the winning schools, has a lot to do with today’s culture, but it is also the parents. Kids are looking for exposure and some of them think they have to go to those schools to be seen.

Scheme doesn’t match personnel hasn’t for a few years... Overton has always had a Big OLine and running backs, they still do. Sometimes coaches care more about “their” scheme than running what works best for the personnel they may have.

If Fitzgerald can retire from metro and get a BA check, good for him. I believe they had a scrimmage scheduled against Riverdale and now its cancelled. Good choices for replacement but I think Stratford might be more of an option for MW HC. I would think Hillsboro goes in a younger direction if this is true. To have two coaches "retire" within a two year period I think Dr. Pelham goes young, look for OV OC or HB DC to make the jump.

What's going on in boro land? Rumors of Fitz leaving? Spring Scrimmage canceled? Who takes over if Fitz does leave? Quality program with a ton of talent....

CR; will not repeat last years outcome, but could be tough again with all the kids in metro wanting to go there PC: has the same opponents and they will regroup with all those kids and the additional add ons from MLK but if they play rural counties..... WATCHOUT HB: Is Fitzgerald coming back is the question? Overton: can only go up from last seasons debacle ... didn't look good on either side of the ball. Still have a lot of questions ... Maplewood: Really don't know what they have returning but they have been consistent EastNash: Time for a change soon Mcgavock: Potential to be really good with one of the best backs in metro..... Stratford: On the decline..... HW/ HL/ WC/ Ant/ GC: Tough situations that wont get any better no time soon... two of these jobs will be open I believe after this season
