  1. Classy move. Having kids put things down in words really helps them wrap their head around a situation
  2. anybody got a video clip of the tantrum. i believe the words spoken about it, but it's one of those things i really need to see to fully believe, if that makes sense.
  3. What happened? Congrats to Fulton
  4. No, we beat Mitchell in the regular season, but yes, i want a W TN team to win
  5. "Four" is not used as a substitute for "for." Find your capslock button and press it please. We'd complain about the refs regardless and would not have talked about how bad we beat anyone. We'll always complain about the refs...always. Finally, trying typing your sentences into Word and spell/grammar checking them so my eyes don't bleed when I read your posts.
  6. Oh, and i wanted to add, since Papa brought it up, Waverly did come back against Bolivar when we had our 3rd string in. Not our second, but our third, and even then, it took Waverly some time. Just want the facts to be straight. And congrats to Bolivar for a great season. It doesn't take a championship to make this Tiger fan proud.
  7. I cheer for Mitchell, W. TN. and all
  8. Congrats to Howard, they played a tough game. I don't want to take anything away from them. However, the officiating was just terrible. I watched several "charges" by Bolivar that were just terrible calls. I've seen bad officiating but this was by far the worst. It seemed like in the 4th quarter they started calling it a lot more even, but still, it can't make up for the fact that on I believe 3 straight possessions, Bolivar was called for charging. I don't recall Bolivar getting more than 2 or 3 blocking calls in their favor. Papatiger, I was right that you'd come bragging about how you called it if Bolivar lost. You are boasting and bragging, not being humble. I'd be embarassed if I were in your congregation. I prefer my preachers to show humility and respect, and be able to teach me the same. Aside from that, again, congrats to Howard, but I'll be cheering for Mitchell and DC.
  9. Don't cry to CoachT because you brought this on yourself. If you'll remember, you were the one advocating poor attitudes towards Bolivar because of our right to call the shots. You were the one who has made baseless opinions about Kendra Williams. If you'd just admit that you are off base on your attitude towards bolivar and towards Kendra, it'd probably end. But you continue to attempt to defend under the caveat of "it's my opinion." How would you feel if i started calling out your players by name and saying things like "i wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in jail" and further put them down, only to hide behind "well that's my opinion so don't attack me for it."
  10. A wide open tourney makes for an interesting tourney...Good luck Bolivar
  11. There is hate in you based on your concession stand idea. That hate doesn't just go away. Your opinion is way off base as well. Again, you see all this unsportmanslike conduct on her part, yet you base this on very little. I have seen her play many more times where I don't see that kind of conduct. In fact, I saw in one game, when her pinky was jammed and really bothering her, an opposing player hacked her on that finger (going for the wrist, but one can still hit the finger). The temper and rage filled girl you described would have shoved, punched or elbowed that girl. But that's not what happened. She walked off the court, and held no malice towards that girl. But here you are, making attacks on a girl that you know little to nothing about. It's not like she robbed a bank or punched a ref. She got a little chippy with someone who was all over her after a TO had been called, and I reiterate that that is the only time I've seen or heard about her even showing a temper. Your opinions are about as off as someone saying "Hitler was a good guy." You might not allow the word hate in your home, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. To say you have no hate is a bold statement. It's ok to admit a flaw, you aren't Jesus after all. And if you don't allow the word "hate" in your home, is it safe to admit you hate "hate?" Finally, you calling her gifted is probably the first time you've said that without following it up with "But she needs to control her temper." Oh, and I hate to nitpick, but it's what i do....you've really driven over 1000 miles this month doing the visiting? I mean, it's the 3rd day of March. If you've put in the miles, good for you, otherwise, avoid the exaggeration or at least say "last month."
  12. according to the radio, bolivar ended up outrebounding i believe
  13. i must have on rose colored glasses, because i didn't see anything like that at the waverly game as far as intentional elbows and needless shoving
  14. well it depends on the description of how the technical went down. the way i heard it, she gave a shove because the other girl wouldn't get off her, but who knows. Aside from that, I have seen nothing else of her having a temper, so would you kindly provide some empirical evidence to support your claim of her temper? Because I don't see it
  15. To be clich?©d, no one gave the NYG's a chance against the Patriots because the Pats were a "championship caliber" team and the Giants weren't. And you very well have been watching HS bball more years than I have, but that doesn't mean you are any better judge of who will win. If that were true, the ESPN crew could pick the winner every year, based on what each perceives as a championship team.
  16. i've never seen someone so bitter. Bolivar didn't play particularly well against the 11AA teams during the tourney, but they blew them out. I'd say bolivar would win 9 out of 10 atleast if they played on a consistent basis like they have been. If they played up to their potential, i don't see 11AA coming close. And don't give me the whole "w/o their best player" because every team can go into the laundry list of problems. X was sick, Y was bruised up, K had the flu. If Bolivar doesn't win state, you'll come on the boards proclaiming how you called it and Bolivar is overrated and how you are the second coming of Christ. Just face the fact that your beloved Waverly and the rest of 11AA got worked like a part-time job in the games they played against Bolivar. Not saying they are bad teams, but they just lost to the best team in 11AA and 12AA. There's no shame in losing to a solid team.
  17. Bolivar plays Giles Co. on Monday. Good luck BCHS
  18. Willie is the only one i can think off of the top of my head that had any contact from GT Regardless, if this kid you are talking about is good, I hope he does go to GT, but I hope he is really smart, cause GT isn't exactly a general studies type of school
  19. off the top of my head, GT looked at Willie, but I know Hewitt likes a taller PG. Thaddeus Young from Mitchell went there, Moe Miller from Raleigh-Egypt goes there. GT looking at people in TN isn't that unheard of
  20. HHS, i'd be surprised if any one player put up 35 against bolivar, not saying it is impossible, but for any player to put up 35 in a single night is a lot. And you will have to deal with all but 3 of Bolivar's players next year. Just because we don't have Willie and Wayne doesn't mean we are weak. It should be a big game, but like Mental said, it's not like the Bolivar faithful are all claiming blowout. I don't know Warehouse's affiliation, but he/she seems to be the only one playing up that Bolivar is going to win and everyone else is second.
  21. ouch. sorry he missed the game but glad Bolivar blew the game away second half. I haven't seen Creek Wood, but i'll say fundamentals will get you through part of the game, but if you don't have the depth and talent, you'll quickly be worn down. That being said, at least both teams have 2 games left. GO BOLIVAR!
  22. You haven't been speaking about the kids, you've been speaking of the poor Waverly fans and how they have to drive both nights and they shouldn't buy concessions at the game. You made the entire issue not about basketball and the quality of both teams, but a petty issue over the home team's earned right to call the shots. You've presented all this "info" that has been refuted by others but you continue to speak of people "inside the bolivar program" so to speak that is telling you contradictory things. You've basically put on a whole song and dance and brought attention to yourself rather than the girls team and what a great finish they had by making it to the tourney. Where is the mistreatment of kids? Not by Coach Rudesill, who was thinking of his girls and giving them their spotlight in a school where they are often overshadowed by the boys. As it was said before, does he ever get to enjoy a hard win during the regular season with the girls? No, he's moving right into coaching the next game, leaving the girls without their head coach during a great moment. For you to even suggest that this whole issue was about money and whatnot is an insult to the credibility of Rudesill and an attack on a man who has been a class act during his tenure at Bolivar.
