Makes sense. Didn’t know if they had guys out

Yea well our starting center was out and had lots of bad snaps and also messed up the timing a lot of plays. Not the only reason but definitely a major factor. They could have had guys out, but I can see with it being a rivalry how that could make it a tight game.

So I’m curious. What happened with the East vs Stratford game? East won 41-33. Surprised by this score.

East Nashville has never made it out of the 2nd round. Ever. Is this their year? Waverly has been to the Semi Finals 3 times out of the last 5 years. Experience matters. These Seniors have been to 2 semi finals.

Just keep an eye on 44 Friday night. He will be the one you see putting the smack down on East players. Kid has a nose for the ball and will straight lay a lick when he hits you. He will also be moving them hogs for our RB/QB to run for days.

Waverly is the 2nd smallest school in 3A. Nobody expects Waverly to win. Hopefully every player and coach at East thinks the same way. That they will just show up and earn the W. This Waverly team is special and has a lot of fight and heart. I hope some how they are able to get it done. There is a chance and that’s all that matters. All Waverly can do is go out and play their best ball and if they do that, it’s very possible to walk out with a W.

Field conditions to favor East? You act like other teams haven’t played in the rain or a wet sloppy field before. Their physical style of offense? Man. Some of y’all are in for a surprise. Waverly’s run game is super physical. Have you seen film? Seen #44, #24, #20, #8 run the rock? Obviously not.

I’m not saying “go burn out the bulbs”. It’s not a “game plan” to score that much, it just happens in this offense. I say Waverly needs to be them. Don’t change what they do. Just do them to the best of their ability. And the rest will take care of itself! Go Big Blue

Are those hogs conditioned for 4 quarters of fast paced football on both sides? Has East played anyone that plays as quickly as Waverly does? Or that has averaged 42 points a game? I get that East has played some good schools. But have they played anyone like Waverly? Big boys are great and all but can they last 4 quarters of fast paced scoring?Or will they tire out? I think this will be a high scoring game. I think Waverly’s coaching staff will do a great job of game planning and will find a way to get it done. I don’t think it will be easy though. Waverly will try to establish the run, if they can run the football, it’s just going to make passing that much easier. If the run game isn’t affective, which I think it will be, the passing game is enough to handle business. My concern is stopping East from scoring. Waverly simply needs to out score East and try and create turnovers or make stops when they count. I’m expecting this to be a tight game.

Me too! Waverly will have their hands full Friday night with East Nasty. Waverly has to play mistake free and continue to create turnovers on Defense and stop the explosive plays. I think Smith Co may give WH some problems. WH seems to have not played their best the last 2 weeks. If they don’t step it up Friday, Smith can win. If it works out and WH & Waverly match up, talk about an epic Quarter Final match up!

And what makes me not humble? Because I believe in our team? Our coaches, players, and community? That I believe they are a great team and even a team that is better than White House? I believed in them and called them to win games & make quarter final and semifinal appearances numerous times over the last 7 years and people like you always clap back. No shocker there. So speaking my mind makes me not humbled? When it’s Waverly’s time to lose, I always am humble. Just ask @GeneralForrest @PeabodyPride And all the other guys I’ve bickered back and forth with over the years. A lot may not like me, or what I say and how I say it and I do not care about yours or anyone else’s opinion of me. I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to talk football. Specifically Waverly football. It is what it is. I get humbled every year. That time hasn’t come yet. But when it does all respect will be given. It’s all fun and games and a lot of y’all get all butt hurt and serious. I know I’m an A hole. Get over it. And Go Tigers!

I hope y’all get that W too. Want this rematch to happen. Everyone seems to think we don’t have a chance against East, and we may not, but I know our kids and coaches will be ready and give all they have.

Ohhh so because you think heritage played better the last 2 weeks that it’s different! That makes sense. So did it ever cross your mind that maybe those last 2 teams didn’t play to their potential? First of all Stewart isn’t very good to start with. And White House for some reason isn’t playing their best ball the last 2 weeks. I’m not saying we will beat East Nashville because it’s going to be very tough but YOU will see next Friday that it will be a battle.

Will come down to the 4th qt. Defense will when this game. Who can stop the explosive plays and who can create turnovers? Special teams will also play a big roll.
