  1. To be fair, I think that can be said for the majority of the teams in TN. For example, what would MC look like without #3 on offense and defense? #2 for Tullahoma is a dynamic player that is a threat to take it to the house on any given play, but Tullahoma is more than capable of playing 6 yds and a cloud of dust for 4 qtrs. Also, #2 rarely plays on the defensive side of the ball.
  2. I forgot about the 6ft 225lb junior running back transfer from Oklahoma and the sophomore running back that gets lost behind the offensive lineman. Thank you.
  3. I can't speak for West and East TN. Region 3 and Region 4 in the middle will have 2 teams a piece, maybe 3 from Region 4, competing to play the beast of the east. In Region 3, LA is sitting at 5-2 with an opponent overall record of 19-28. They have beaten one team with a winning record in 3A Upperman. Dekalb County is sitting at 4-3 with an opponent overall record of 26-23. They have beaten one team with a winning record and that was LA. In Region 4, Marshall County is sitting at 6-1 with an opponent overall record of 26-15. Their only loss was to Tullahoma. MC beat Springfield out of the West handedly. Tullahoma is sitting at 7-0 with an opponent overall record of 24-16. Tullahoma beat 4th ranked MC earlier in the year convincingly. All of these teams will continue to improve, but I see a rematch of Tullahoma and MC in the quarters to see who plays whoever comes out of the East. The East has to travel this year, so it could be an interesting playoffs. Right know it is Elizabethton until someone proves them wrong. Last year is last year, but I know for a fact Tullahoma overlooked Dekalb County and they were without their starting WR/DB and Dekalb picked on the new starter the whole game. Hence the 4 TD's for Nokes. This is not the same Tullahoma team from last year. Tullahoma returned everyone that contributed last year, except the QB. The QB this year is more mobile which gives another dimension. MC toward the end of last year was not the same team during the middle of the season for some reason.
  4. I hope you are right. With no prep, in game adjustments will be key. Tullahoma should win, but Brainerd has some athletes and a couple of big boys to match Tullahoma's size up front.
  5. No offense to Brainerd, but I would have liked to have seen a Summit - Tullahoma matchup. Good game to get ready for the playoffs. Page just cancelled a tad bit late.
  6. This morning. I have no clue or thoughts on the game, but credit to both schools for scheduling last minute without any preparation time.
  7. From my understanding the game is rescheduled for Oct. 23. I am not sure if Tullahoma and Nolensville are going to reschedule the out of region opponents originally scheduled for that night.
  8. Covid strikes again. Game is cancelled.
  9. Looking at Tullahoma's schedule at the beginning of the season, I thought they had to get up for 3 ballgames. So far, they have handled 2 of the 3. The 3rd is this Friday night. Not being cocky by any means, but everyone else on the schedule does not have the horses to stay with Tullahoma for 4 qtrs this year. The motto this year is one game at a time. The playoffs are 4 games away and a lot of things can happen between now and then. Injuries to key players, Covid and contact tracing to name a couple. There is no guarantee Tullahoma, Nolensville or Marshall County make it to the 2nd/3rd round. No score prediction, but Tullahoma wins this ballgame going away in the second half. I hope every team stays injury free and avoids the virus and lets see how the playoffs play out when we all get there.
  10. Beech has played bigger games this year, Powell for instance, while Tullahoma has rested starters the 4th qtr of every ball game so far. Both teams start a separate offensive and defensive line, so wearing down should not be an issue for either team. The key to the game for Tullahoma is stopping the speedster running back. In order for Beech to win, they have to stop Tullahoma's run game. Both teams are fairly evenly matched with the exception of the size up front. So, what wins out? Size or speed? I see a slug fest of a ballgame. Tullahoma pulls out the win late. 35-28.
  11. I am not sure why Tullahoma is having to travel either. From what I am understanding, Beech is sending Tullahoma 200 tickets and Tullahoma is keeping that money. Beech is also giving Tullahoma a percentage of the gate as well.
  12. I am looking forward to this game. It should be a good one. Like others, I need to see film to make an educated guess, but Tullahoma will run the football more than they will pass it. Both teams have similar stats. Around 100 yds/g passing and 240 yds/g rushing. Tullahoma has a tendency to start games sluggish and then put teams away in the 2nd half outscoring its opponents 93-13. They will need to clean that up in order to win this ballgame.
