Any school that wants a good coach and wants to win will look at the 15 wins. CA forfeits football and basketball wins for using ineligible player. Will every northside school have new coaches next year?

Watson still won 15 games in two years, I am sure that’s what teams look at when they hire a coach. If he does leave it will be because Montgomery County does not support thier sports, especially Northside schools. I guess we will see what happens, I hear a lot of rumors of maybe Northeast and West Creek and Kenwood having new coaches next year.

I hope he does good, but we will see how he does. I would like to see a Clarksville school make it past the second round. I bet they still beat west creek, how thier coach keeps his job is crazy to me.

Well Northwest hires one of thier assistant coaches, I guess we will see how he does. Any news about a knight or eagle coach leaving? Also APSU coach leaves for another team.

Calm down lol but Hey NW is not great but they are not as bad as you say they are.

Maybe you should do your research. I’ve seen NW facilites and they have three locker rooms and a huge weight room with a film room and coaches offices plus room to do other stuff. Discipline is controlled by the coaching staff not the players. I’m sure the admin do not give them the support they need but most Clarksville schools don’t. If NW gets a good coach I bet they will finish top four in the region with NE, CHS,HC. But we shall see.

How is it rock bottom the worse? I’ve been around Clarksville a long time and I would say its not great, but I would not say it’s the worse. Heck some would say West Creek would be a bad situation since they have never been to the playoffs or Central was a bad situation until this year, since they have only been to the playoffs like twice ever. But I think a good coach can turn around any program with a little time and a good staff and a little backing from the school. Heck Northwest did not look bad talent wise this year, they even beat west creek pretty bad.

I think it’s like most Clarksville schools they don’t back thier sports enough. But I think the coaching staff will determine the atmosphere of your program. I would not say only a desperate coach would apply. I think like anywhere a good coach with a good staff could turn the team around fast.

Coach Wright from Northwest resigns today. Who will be the new coach at Northwest? Hopefully they pick a good coach, they have good talent and great facilities there. Any chance WestCreek or anyone else in Clarksville get a new coach?

Yea your probably right, but any chance CA or Central make it past the second round? Heck other then NE a few years ago, when they went to the quarters like twice and the semis once and I think Kenwood went to the quarters once not to long after they opened. Has any other Clarksville team ever made it past the second round? Other then when CA lost in state 15 or 20 years ago.

With Fort Campbell 1.NE 2.CHS 3.MCHS 4.RHS 5.CA 6.KHS 7.NWHS 8.FC 9.WCHS West Creek won one game to a really bad 4a team. Any chance anyone competes with Henry County next year? Will Clarksville get a new high school before MCHS becomes a 5a?

CHS and Northeast did have a good line this year, but RHS line did not seem to have to much size this year. But last year NW and WC had big kids on the line but they did not seem to have much technique. I would be surprised if NW and WC did not make a coaching change, but you never know in Montgomery county.

True but when I said talent, I meant not just skill guys but lineman to. I know some Clarksville schools don’t always have big huge lines like HC most years, but if your a good enough coach you’ll scheme up something that will get 5 or 6 wins if your having a down year.

West Creek had good talent this year, but last year they looked great but could only win 5 games. I would say Kenwood might have close to the best talent in town and will only win 4 games this year. I watched Northwest this year and they had good talent but can only win 2 games. I think almost every year all Clarksville teams have good talent but only a few have good coaches. Heck even the academy had good talent this year and will only win 5 games. But like every year the teams with the most wins like CHS,NE,MCHS,RHS have better coaching not always better talent.

I also think coaching plays a big role in some of Clarksville schools to. I think most teams in Clarksville have good talent most years.

I agree, league ball just don’t help as much as real middle school football would.

Even though CHS and NE will lose a lot, I’m sure they still have enough talent to win, plus they are better coached then the rest of the Clarksville teams in that region. But unless Kenwood gets a new OC or Head Coach, so they can score some points, they will go .500 in my opinion. But I guess we will see.

I don’t see any teams makeing it out of the second round. I think NE coach will come back. But I think if NE replaces a few players it’ll be NE and CHS trying to beat Henry County for the region. Kenwood has great talent this year and did nothing with it,so I don’t think they will compete for the region next year either.But I think West Creek,Northwest,Stewart County would be better off with a coaching change. But it’ll be a interesting to see what happens. Maybe one year a Clarksville team will make a run.

I would say Northwest,West Creek will probably have new coaches. Also I think our neighbor to the west Stewart County will have a new coach.

You sound kind of salty eastnasty. I hate to break it to you but the kid they said was ineligible this year did not play for NE last year, NE is still a 8-1 team in my eyes, they are a little beat up and have had a rough year with everything, but i don’t think East Nashville will come up to NE on thier senior night and blow them out. I think it’ll be a close game with a NE win.

I know it says that but Marshall county has 32,000 people. They have three high schools 4a and 2a and 1a school. So math does not add up. But hey it is what it is tssaa says HC is a 5a.

HC is good but they are no Maryville that will move up in classification and win.

NE players and some coaches did lose thier cool Friday night, but I would think it would be hard to control your emotions when teenage kids get everything they worked so hard for taken away. Its still no excuse for the way some of the players acted. There are a lot of what ifs for NE this season, but I think if NE did not have the wins taken away and thier best player getting hurt I think the game would have went down to the wire. But I know everyone will make HC out to be all innocent but I know for a fact that a HC coach cussed at a NE player during the game and let’s not forget the HC player getting ejected, so HC did not have the greatest sportsmanship either. Let’s be honest there is no way HC has 5a numbers every year with only one school, but if you can’t win state every year in 5a with one school in the county then I dunno. But far as I know number 6 will graduate in May like everyone else. But if coach Watson leaves it will be because of not much backing from the school or the parents. It would suck to see another good coach leave Clarksville. If he leaves there will only be a few good coaches left in Clarksville. I know every HC fan will have a lot to say but that is all I have to say about that.
