  1. Speaking of, I also heard some members of that 10-0 Cocke County squad were climbing out of her window pretty regularly too. But that's just grapevine talk. Lmao
  2. We get it. You are still bitter that someone from WB stole your girlfriend. Get therapy. It's possible to heal.
  3. I wish we had ran the ball more instead of passing over and over again. That jet sweep run for a TD was nice, but it was negated by a penalty.
  4. Like you playing Morristown East, Cocke County and Cherokee when we were playing Knox West, Maryville, Farragut, Bearden, and Catholic every year. Your toughest game (Sevier County) was our out of region opener.
  5. This game played out about like the Science Hill game. We #### the bed when it came to managing the clock at the end of the half. I love this team and their effort. I just wish this staff had the talent we had in years past.
  6. But you keep running your mouth about our schedule when Jeff County lived off easy schedules for years.
  7. The News Sentinel is predicting that DB will edge WB 35-28. I hope it's a good game. Go Govs!
  8. If the Govs want to have a chance, we need to get back to the run game which is where we shine. I feel like we kind of abandoned the run prematurely to keep up in the losses. A slower pace would probably help our young defense get rested and make adjustments between possessions too. An incomplete pass on first down is usually a drive killer. Just saying.
  9. The last time WB beat DB was in 2016. The Govs went up to J. Fred and played about as complete of a game as I've ever seen a WB team play and then completely #### the bed the rest of the season, including the first loss to Heritage in about 20 years the very next week. You can't even make that up it's so crazy. So yeah, strange things have happened in this series. That was a pretty good DB team too.
  10. Our last win over DB was a regular season game at their place. People always talk about our playoff upsets over them, but we have beaten them in some regular season games too.
  11. Both teams have bye weeks this week, so let's get this thread started early.
  12. William Blount used to have a fun rivalry with Ooltewah back in the 5A region 2 days. The sad thing about all the changes the TSSAA has made is how a lot of good rivalries like that one have died because of them.
  13. Buzz off, dude. Not all rivals play every year. And it wasn't my personal choice not to play them. As a side note, I mentioned Farragut as a team that used to be seen as a rival for WB but that died because we haven't played them in almost a decade. I doubt we'll go that long before we play Maryville again.
  14. For William Blount, it's Heritage and Maryville. Farragut used to be a rival I'd say, but we haven't played them in football since 2014.
  15. One thing I can say about this year's team is they have shown up and played hard in every game. Under Shad and the other coaches since Meadows we were always good to have at least two games where we completely #### the bed in terms of effort and preparation. Hopefully those days are gone for good.
  16. It seems like we've gotten pretty pass happy lately. Our bread and butter is qb runs and runs to the outside.
  17. I have seen Farragut multiple times this year and they seem to have trouble moving the ball consistently. Bradley should win comfortably
  18. The score was 28-14 to start the 3rd quarter. We actually stopped them on their opening drive of the 2nd half and were driving to potentially cut their lead to 7 when we threw a pick and things snowballed for them. After that score to go up 21, they outscored us 21-14. We also had a chance to cut their lead to 7 at the end of the 1st half inside the 10 and let time run out when we still had a timeout to use. So yeah, those mistakes were really costly.
  19. Do you not understand math? Let me spell it out for you, that one turnover gave SH a 21 point lead in the 3rd qtr, when it could have potentially been just a 7 point lead. What me and others have actually said the whole season is that our offense will give us a chance to win games in region play. You said our offense wasn't any good and we continue to have success on that side of the ball. We left at least two scores out there with turnovers and bad clock management to end the 1st half.
  20. The Govs were in the game a few minutes into the 3rd quarter. They were driving with a chance to cut SH's lead to 7 and threw a pick that was a back breaker. We play a lot of young kids and they'll keep getting better. You - on the other hand - will continue to be a loser without a life. The sad thing is you don't even realize how stupid you look. Judging by your name, you're old and that just goes to show that maturity isn't guaranteed with age.
  21. The Govs gave good effort tonight and had multiple chances to get back in the game, but made too many mistakes and had multiple drives stall out deep in SH territory. I'm excited to see how all the young guys progress. They'll keep getting better.
  22. I guess you're not bright enough to grasp the long term benefits of winning against a schedule you see as easy. Winning games helps WB keep players in zone and makes us better in the long term. It's not just about winning games this year. Jefferson County is the only school in your county and you don't have to compete with other schools for your athletes. That has been a reality for WB from the jump.
  23. My hopes aren't dashed dude. I had zero expectations going into this season and still don't. Just enjoying the ride and being more competitive.
  24. We get it. You're drunk and repeating yourself at this point. Lmao
