How did East look against Lebanon?

Didn’t make it but what I seen we looking pretty good. In my eyes we’re actually ahead of schedule. This team is fairly young but I only expect no more then 1 to 2 loses.

First Post or new Username for ex Pat .....

My early guess based on Metro's 7 on 7 tournament a few weeks ago at Hillsboro, new coaching hires, and returning players that I am aware of.  List order likely changes after Jamborees....

    1. PC / East

    2. CR / Antioch

    3. Hillsboro

    4. Overton

    5. McGavock / Lawson / HL / Maplewood

    7. Stratford / WC

    8. Glencliff

I think it is PC/East and then the rest of the pack. I've stated it before, Antioch is my sleeper team to keep an eye on. Their record might not be great given their SEC Western Division like schedule, but my opinion is they will be much improved.

Top 6 Pearl,East,Cane Ridge,Hillsboro, Mcgavock and Overton. Antioch won’t and can’t beat none of them these teams.

MJ plays Cane Ridge and Antioch… what is this blasphemy that Antioch is supposed to be good? Lol is this true?

    Ya they gotta be intoxicated.

Who do they return from last year when they were in 5a?  Looking at their losses I don’t think PC loses to any of those teams last year and PC returns quite a bit off that team

Sounds like a 5/6a school thinking because they where in a bigger class last year they played superior competition.

Not counting the out and I actually have them making the playoffs. They will just have to facing PC or MC again and with everyone returning I think that will be a tall task. I’ve seen SC play for at least the past 10 years.

    You getting to friendly fb

Yes. That is the Antioch HS that i am referencing based on what i have seen with my own eyes. Don't care about what they have done in the past. Coach Arnold is doing it the right way. He has coached under Blade and won a State Championship. He has coached under Dilfer and won a ring so i would say he knows how to coach. They are a much improved program imo so we will see if i am right or wrong over the next few years.

I’ve heard great things about coach Arnold and his staff but let’s be real and I do think they will be better then last year but let’s examine the schedule. Maybe they can beat Mcgavock & Laverne? Antioch is a huge school and should have some guys but they are behind the 8ball. At least they won’t be the worst metro school.

Probably well known in metro Nashville, but Antioch's 9th grade QB is going to be a problem for other schools over the next few years. The Bears are a program on the rise in Nashville.

I actually thought the kid was going private,Cane ridge or Rutherford county. To see him at Antioch is a waste of time a talent. The kid is a baller but from looking at social media the dad will be in his way “The reason he is at Antioch” The Next two years Antioch will go 0-10. They have NO Lineman. He will be shopping around week 5.

Pearl-Cohn's coaching staff has already transitioned from when Tony Brunetti first became the school's coach back in 2006.  Those first couple of years Coach Brunetti called the offense, Tommy Wilson called the defense, and Dan Davis was also on the staff.  Coach Davis left PC and went to Mt. Juliet Christian Academy several years ago.  He actually took Coach Wilson to MJCA with him as an assistant.  Coach Brunetti was fortunate enough to hire William Darnell who had previously been a head coach at Hunters Lane.  He also hired Damien Harris who was previously at Marshall County with former Stratford coach William Johnson.  He also hired Brandon Woods who I believe was at Maplewood prior to coming to PC as well.  Coach Woods was at one point the offensive coordinator.  Him and Coach Harris have called the offense together as co-coordinators as well.  Coach Darnell was the defensive coordinator for a couple of years.  When he took the Whites Creek job Coach Brunetti became the defensive coordinator in 2020 (the COVID year).  He's called the defense since that time.  Coach Harris is now gone to East Nashville but I believe Coach Woods is still on the staff.

I've talked to Coach Brunetti about this many times.  He wants nothing more than for his coaching tree to continue to branch out and move up the ladder.  There are many reasons why Pearl-Cohn is such a strong program in Metro.  One of those reasons is because they've always been one of the better coached programs in the area and gotten the most out of their players.  That goes all the way back to the 90s when Coach Maurice Fitzgerald was there.

East Nashville hired themselves a great football coach (again).  I'll be eager to see them on the field this upcoming season.

We will see how it goes this year. Your saying one thing but i'm hearing another. If woods continue to coach i give them a chance on offense. Defense better strap up.

  8. I been told yall a few years ago this would happen to Pc staff. Coach Harris leaving pearl to come to the best side "East Side" is huge and the success will continue. Now the question is who does he bring with him? Will he call the offense? I just found out 10 mins ago he is also the girls head track coach? I know brunetti is running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

You are about to get your feelings hurt East Nasty.

End of the day I’m rooting for Stewart. He’s a Great leader of young men. Hopefully he has success and open the door and break the stigma.

Our East Nashville fan doesn't buy that haha.

I definitely don’t lol but in all seriousness. I don’t think he’s going to leave. Centennial has some dogs but he can’t get the type he has and can get at East Nashville. If he does decide to leave I got the same two guys on top of my list from pearls staff.
