  1. Lol That Hohenwald edumacation system for you!
  2. Honestly, Richland blew Hickman County out so that should tell you Hickman will not be competitive with anyone, even Lewis.
  3. Um, we don’t strive to be a fake program feeling pride in paper championships.
  4. They prolly do; like all of those regular season paper championships.
  5. We are not talking about Page. We are talking about Hohenwald. But, to counter your argument, if we were constantly and consistently placed in very weak regions, then we would be playing fourth seed teams from other regions due to winning said regions and, would win most of those first round games. So, that throws your argument out the window. 2013, what was that, a decade ago? So, you are trying to bring in the NFL now since you can't defend what is being written? You going to begin talking about Wendys and a burger war next?
  6. Oh, let's back it ALLLLL the way back to 2013, now. Just so I didn't pull a @Salem and stick my foot all the way past my mouth and down my throat, I looked up CPA that year. They were "good", "very good" and a "quality" program who only had one other team (besides the loss to Alcoa) keep the score closer than Hohenwald. But, let's stay on the narrative that @Salembegan for us. Lewis County went undefeated in a weak region against a weak schedule. Beat a four win team in Fairly (who I have never heard of) in the first round. Beat a six win regular season team in Camden (by only 12 points) who beat a team from Memphis, that again, I have never heard of but who has never accomplished anything. Then, they beat a three loss Westview team with the help of the weather, luck and (Friday night in Hohenwald) refs. Now, this wasn't the Westview of the 90's and 2000's with all of the Tennessee recruits, either. If there is any credit to be given to Hohenwald, hanging with CPA is it. So, if you want to hang your hat on a moral victory, there Shadow, that's it.
  7. Oh now, don't take it personal. We all get emotionally involved in something we should not have and not think before we speak.
  8. You just proved my point Salem! I see and bolded your adjectives and adverbs for your descriptions of how all of those losses are to good teams! Why does Hohenwald not beat those good teams? They can beat the bad ones. The playoffs are a very good indicator of the actual success of the program. Notice how you spoke of Riverside getting hot as to state that they were better than the earlier season match up and also threw in there Waverly and how it happened to them so that you think it makes your point valid. If they were good as their record indicated, they would have won that playoff game and went onto the next. You just backed up one of my points. I'm sure you didn't think that through, though. Lewis County ALWAYS loses to "good", "very good" , "quality" teams and in "tough" games. That 0.810 winning percentage is a misnomer, folks. Salem just helped prove it!
  9. They are so called "successful" because they do not play anyone of substance and if they do, they get beat! Look at the playoffs. I don't have enough knowledge nor care enough to research all of 2A or even that in Middle Tennessee but I will spend time debating you and others on the merits of Hohenwald football. But, since you threw out there Trousdale, is East Robertson, like, in Crossville? How far away is that? You are correct on a couple of assumptions, however. There is more than variables to consider than records. Funny, the way it looks with Hohenwalds past when it comes to scheduling, records are right up there at the top! This isn't a debate on Page, it is one about Hohenwald. I just randomly through the Creek Wood out there as an example. We all can't play in a region full of Red Boiling Springs and a non region schedule of the same. Anndddddd, just because somebody plays in a region consisting of good teams doesn't mean they are good; funny. Yeah, funny how Hohenwald is bouncing that basketball no later than after the second round of the playoffs each year. Why is that? I mean, a 9-1 or 10-0 team should advance further than the second round should they not? Granted, upsets occur in each sport every year and I have seen both sides with our football program. But, how do you have that and those records year after year but get "bounced" (simile for basketball) by the second round each and every year? I do have a question which goes to one of my points; who put Creek Wood in the Region with LC?
  10. For years, their fans have gotten on here and beat their chests and proclaimed how good the program is all the while never accomplishing anything more than being regional winners of less formidable regions housing teams that are not competitive. Now, I will not name the two T$$AA buddies up here that are the coach's close friends and who take care of him but I will say that I am shocked that Hohenwald is not in a region with the likes of Richland but then again, other than having them in their region, I don't know if they could have an easier route to a region championship. I sure did miss that call when realignment was coming up and will admit that! At the same time, however, they will schedule the likes of a basketball school such as East Robertson who is just a bump from single A or a Cheatham County team who averages a winning season only once every five years. How long has it been since Loretto was relevant? They only average one winning season every decade or so. But, I will give Hohenwald credit, they did beat a couple of those Butch Toner teams back in the day. How can you be vocally proud of actually accomplishing nothing? I remember back before social media and Coacht how channel 2, 4 and 5 would post the scores of Friday night football. I enjoyed seeing those scores and results of those matchups. I began to notice I could tell if Hohenwald lost without waiting on the Tennessean the next morning. If they won, all three channels and maybe Fox 17 (I can't remember) would broadcast the score. LOL-if they lost, no one would have the score! I have noticed the last couple/few years since I began calling them out, that their fans are just not on here anymore. Could it be that what I am saying is not defensible? Go back and look at the recent best team in 2013. I just checked and the first round of the playoffs. They beat a team that was 4-6 then a team that was 6-4 in the regular season. If my memory serves me correct, the third round they beat a team that went 7-3 on the regular season in a bad weather game (with a little help). Then look at some of the teams throughout their history. Creekwood? Until now, I didn't even know there was a team in Dickson called Creekwood or Creek Wood. But, sure enough, Hohenwald scheduled them coming off of a 2-8 season back then. Funny, bet they wont schedule them now! What does it show to go undefeated during the regular season but ALWAYS get put out by the second round? How do you have pride in that? Maybe that's why their posters aren't on here as much these days.
  11. Sounds like you need to find a new source. Well, at least we would not be a fake football program with notoriety of being regular season paper champions.
  12. Pizzafan, how in the world did y’all not get Richland placed in the region? I see you are playing basketball power Summertown. Gonna be a hoot when Ethridge and Hampshire kick off football!
  13. Nah, but I do think they need or should schedule decent to above average competition. That might not make the regular season record as impressive but would help in the playoffs and away from the paper champion moniker.
  14. With only five of those 29 having winning records against Hohenwald, thank you for proving my point when it comes to scheduling!
  15. My own personal Shadow. Where you been? All this bright light has been blinding since you’ve been away.
  16. Giles has had some success at the QB position, it seems for forever. How are their skill players this year?
  17. You do realize Fayetteville is the only equitable or above average team Hohenwald has scheduled out of region in a long time, don’t you? I know, schedule Obion County, a team not just three hours away from there but a team that’s only had one winning season in the past decade and, that was a decade ago.
  18. Seeing how I’m the only Patriot fan on this board, I figured since both teams are playing gimme games I’d go ahead and kick this thread off. 5A vs 3A with both coming in undefeated but, a much longer history than classification difference. We play a Nashville schedule where as Giles is not, so much, this year. However, both schedules are extremely light. Though we have played many seasons over the years, I don’t feel this is a rivalry. Seems more streakish with the southern team winning more. We have some speed and have cleaned up some mistakes and boneheaded penalties. We can run when need and put the ball in the air when needed and make plays. Our DL is strong and has done well. Our over-all disclipine has gotten much better. What is Giles bringing to the table?
  19. If it tells you anything, Hohenwald beat them easily to GC should have no problem. I fully believe our game should be good. Giles seems to be rolling this year, as are we.
  20. This is just too funny because some of the same teams Hohenwald is playing THIS SEASON including THIS FRIDAY NIGHT are the historically bad teams they have been scheduling since the red sea was parted. But, hey, I’m with you on this. Let’s talk about this season and Friday night. Let us go ahead and get Friday night out of the way. Hickman is terrible. When I say terrible, I mean bad even for their typical season. Just how bad is that? Richland annihilated them! We all know Richlands been terrible since the Red Sea was parted. As for the rest of the season schedule? Okay, the rest of the teams are not good, at all! I don’t know much about them but their records thus far dictate that. The largest key is, is that if they are on the schedule, region game or not, one can bet they are not very good teams. There are/may be exclusions such as the Riverside and/or Chapel Hill teams of the past. Other than those two, nah, Hohenwald is gonna be in a non-competitive region! Here is what is probably going to happen. Hohenwald is gonna roll to a big win this Friday and feel all proud of that 5-1 record and the rest of the season right up till the region deciding game at the end of the season. They will be ranked once again too. Since it wont be played at home (where the refs are known to make strange calls) Riverside will most likely win. This will be not just because they are the better team but because they have a more tough schedule which will be part of why they are better. Next up will be the playoffs where they will play some third seed team (if they lose to that Riverside team). Even with 10-0 records and region championships, Hohenwald has been known to lose in the first round to forth seed teams. This is what happens when you are regular season paper champions. They may draw an even weaker team or they may actually beat Riverside and draw a fourth seed team. Even though LC is known to lay eggs in the first round, if they do luck up and beat Riverside and get the fourth seed or even beat a bad third seed team, they will be out of the playoffs by the end of the second round! Know how I know this? This is the year after year after year after year typical Hohenwald season!
  21. I remember he went into lowly Moore Co and built them up and maybe won a state championship or two. Not sure but I know he did well there. Seems as though politics and drama did him in in Marshall County. Whatever happened in Marion was crazy, however. Winchester is getting their just deserves now. Parent politics going on there from what I understand.
  22. Ah, trying to create a moral victory are we? Trying to put LC into a group of actually good football programs now, through comparison, are we? will those 2-4 teams make it past the second round of the playoffs? Will Hohenwald?
