  1. Thanks Romans 5:8! Good luck with your game as well! Go get those mavs
  2. We have done some positive things this year. I give all the credit to our coaches in their prep work and our players with great big hearts and willingness to learn and be apart of something bigger than themselves. I hope we can get off the bus ready to do business. Thanks for the wishes of safe travels.
  3. Honestly it's going to depend on what tiny openings we find in your defense. We love to throw and we love to run. The weather these past three weeks seemed to have hindered our throwing game a bit. As long as we can block, we will do both about as equally I guess. Oh and if you want to use our chains, I could bring them LOL
  4. He's still pretty quick. The boys had trouble catching him to dump the Gatorade bucket on him
  5. I'd say if I'm guessing he was a Shuffler. I think Jalen Shuffler played QB in 2011. Quick as a cat could throw too. His younger bro decided to go to Gville. He's a senior this year. In 2011, Coach Verran helped Coach Jones at SG a little that year. I hear you and coach verran may go waaaaayyyy back.
  6. If you say it's so then I believe you.
  7. Sir I was told that exact same thing by a completely different parent.
  8. Cockecounty game was at SG. but the rest is very true. Not happy about all of it but I'll own it. getting a wake up call like we had to receive at happy valley seems to have done us some good. Hopefully our boys now know we have to play every down. It is what it is and now all we can do is learn from it. Seems we need to work on our consistency huh lol
  9. Didn't mean to lie to ya. Officials were from tri-counties association. Sorry about that. We had Blount officials against wartburg.
  10. Did a drive by last Saturday and it looked to be in good shape. Of course we didn't walk on it but it looked good. You have great facilities.
  11. You have most of your team back from last year, right? I think it will be a tough match up but we are going to give it our best shot and leave it all out on the field. How is your field with all this soggy weather?I figure it recovers pretty well but just thought I'd ask. Good luck on an injury free game.
  12. I thank you and I will pass that along.
  13. Since we got a new coach this year, that was actually a question brought up to Coach Verran. Several parents wanted to move the team to the home sideline. He wanted to leave things the way they were. I guess he was more focused on trying to get to know the kids and installing a new offense. Lots of mind set changes too. Who knows maybe we can begin new traditions. I vote for a train whistle. Lol
  14. There's more to it than that. It was a huge ordeal. And over time it was more than just one parent. I guess the last time was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak.
  15. I think it may have been an angry parent that finally made the team move.
