  1. Awesome news!! Your team(s) could be the difference maker for the league this year. It will definitely get more people out of the A/C. Thanks and good luck.
  2. www.chattlax.org has been updated with all necessary information for summer league lacrosse in Chattanooga. The league will run for 7 weeks in a team format for boys and girls.

    DI Playoffs

MBA gets the #1 seed because of goal differentials between their loss to Ravenwood and win over McCallie. So... #1 East MBA vs. #4 West (Father Ryan) #2 East (McCallie) vs. #3 West (CBHS) #3 East (Ravenwood) vs. #2 West (Houston) #4 East (Webb Bell Buckle) vs. #1 West (MUS)
  4. You may have a point when it comes to scheduling but that is what they said about St. Leo Univ. in Tampa. Who will they play? The reality is teams travel south Feb. and Mar. Everybody is traveling to them. New England and New York are saturated with D-III teams dying for games early in the year, but can't get on the field until late March because of weather. Should be interesting...
  5. Because Houston and Ravenwood have moved up to D1, here is how the D1 playoffs will go (from www.tnlax.com): "High School Division I playoffs will include the #4 seed from each region. These teams will play the #1 seed teams during the quarterfinals weekend as #2 seeds play #3 seeds. The question of whether to play within or across regions was discussed but not finalized."
  6. Wow. Sorry for creating so much hostility...Look at the picture again...but this time look beyond the cross-check and at the official.
  7. Check out this beautiful cross-check... http://community.webshots.com/photo/548464...038253715RKRWyq Can you guess if it was called?
  8. One of four brothers from Detroit?
  9. Well said. Ideally teams, like Gilman, will start to see there is solid competition in the South early in the season without having to travel to say....DisneyWorld. Please, don't jump on me about knocking MUS' schedule, but with all the NE, NY, and MD teams traveling down I-81, I-40, and I-75 why not cut the trip short by 10 hours by staying in GA and TN. McCallie beats Winter Park and they'll have to start making trips to TN.
  10. As long as Chattanooga has only 1 high school playing lacrosse, McCallie will have the shortest schedule. The closest games are Knoxville, ATL, and Nashville. No one can travel like that during the week. Except for Webb BB, there are no teams that would travel to McCallie on a weeknight
  11. Lacrosse stores have overstock of last year's equipment and do a great job of putting together affordable packages and outfitting teams. Be creative and you'll find you people are very supportive of start-up programs. There is no reason for you to pay MSRP for equipment, goals, etc. if you're starting a program. Where are you located and is there an e-mail address to contact you about this process. I may have some quality feedback.
  12. Anyone who wants to...I guess. Lots of younger kids though - 8-13 year olds, and a seperate division for any students, adults, alumni, parents that want to play. Like most other summer leagues.
  13. www.chattlax.org has the necessary info. for Summer League in Chatt-town

    Sippin?

Oh yeah. Lots of rain forced the game over to CBHS.

    Sippin?

Shouldn't be a problem since McCallie/CBHS played in a mudpit last year, and MBA/MUS played in the stadium. It's all about what time teams can get to Chattanooga also. DII have a tougher time since they can't pull kids out of school.
