They are private. They will have their hands full with Middle Tennessee Christian. They said they had four new players coming in in the future. That can’t be good for the chemistry of the team and is a real good way to make current players mad.

they will be a flash in the pan once things become very clear with how things go on that campus and the extension of travel ball coaches in all sports they will be back to just another private school same goes for mtcs you only get what you pay for

I figured Wayne County would return to the top at some point, but you may be right in that it’s difficult to handle those devasting ACL injuries.  How long will it take the WC post player to return from the ACL?  I guess what I’m wondering is will she be able to return before the season is over.

I saw yesterday that one of Huntland’s best young players is transferring to Webb School, but I’m not sure how to link things on here yet.

webb recruitment of the state and my area in franklin county is very real

Saw Coffee play last Friday.  Defense was very good.  Held opponents to 20 or less.  Beat Tullahoma, Lincoln, Fayetteville City and Coffee JV beat Marshall County Varsity.   4 Starters return plus mixing in younger Vinson and Gannon girls.  Looks like to be more post oriented this year.  Play tougher competition this week at Independence.

they will beat our ladies here in franklin county during the season although beating four smaller rebuilding schools is no indication

The Summertown job will be interesting. I’ve heard the same names that @Jaychapman mentioned earlier. The obvious hire is Jeremy Jean. I believe he lives in the area and was successful at Forrest. But he was the obvious hire three years ago and they passed on him.

Jordyn Hartsfield is back in the area, was a great player and has been an assistant at big program. She doesn’t have a lot of head coaching experience and her husband coaches football at Mt Pleasant, which could be awkward as they’re in Summertown’s district now.

Wendi Scott would be a home run hire. She has a history of success and adding her daughter to Summertown’s roster would make them really good.  Not sure I see it happening as I was told her daughter is really happy at Lawrence County.

Another name I have heard is Krystal Edney, coach at Perry County. She had a couple state tournament runs a few years back.

There will likely be several more applicants. Summertown’s girls don’t know anything other than winning. I suspect that continues with whoever they bring in.

did you say the Hartsfield lady would be a good coach at summertown?  I witnessed some blackman games against our old district while and as I’m an FC gal through and through i would not want her I noticed the male assistant does more

my grand who plays travel ball in Nashville said her coaches told her it as going to be the old blackman coach that takes Summertown job but I’m not sure who she is referring to.

Murfreesboro Riverdale. Makes the USJ search a little more interesting.

just a recruiting hire they want wife to pull the huntland girl north and from what I hear in fc it is a going to be a battle between huntland webb riverdale and cc on who gets her and the sister in cc

  6. lady red raiders will be a daunting match up issue for the teams in the east as they continue to keep trying to add recruits and new parents to the coaching staff this time coming all the way out to hornet territory

Tullahoma has moved to a new district. I know they had a transfer from community that got a medical clearance for her dads health lol and the Dunkin kid transferred from Coffee but if you transfer before your freshman year it is legal. Sounds like a bitter parent who has a kid that just isn't very good, but congrats on creating an account and letting the world know of your lack of intelligence, now go milk or weld something!!!!!

what new district is tullahoma in now and what teams are with them.  will they still play the same local teams as they have because I do believe it has always been a wonderful atmosphere when my rebelettes and the lady wildkittens get together.

has coffee county managed to hire more assistant coaches to be able to recruit more talent from other schools in the area.

State semis 2 years ago and state champion the year before that.

so must be parents administrators or players since winning championships is not it to have run off 6 different coaches. leave that for others to discuss but i believe i know the answer with my granddaughter having played in an organization out of murfreesboro and seeing some it firsthand

Any time you have a coach that will not recruit Chloe Moore and is not doing good in recruiting and obviously has a problem with recruiting she won’t be at Tennessee long. Tennessee looked terrible in the tournament and that is in the coach.

she is horrible, all she could get is the best player in the state in weathers when she was a sophomore.

Next year this district matches up with the Bradley County region.  Bradley is always strong but 2-4 are usually not near as strong as the Murfreesboro district year in and year out.  So yes it should be a little easier for 6aaaa teams to compete and advance in the Region.

maybe coach cope will finally make it past the semifinals of a region. they won’t beat Bradley nobody in our district will.

Couple of transfers could change this whole district. Coffee will continue to dominate this new district.

they will beat everyone in district including my rebelettes but what region does this district match with? if it continues to be with the rutherford county schools coffee county and the rest of this new district will continue to be finished in region play. I do not want to hear how good teams do during regular season unless they can make state or sectional especially coming out of this weak district over the next two years. if you have the talent you claim to have and continue with transfers you should be able to make it to state.

I’m going to have to say it again.  Jason Reuter at Bradley is pretty impressive. We were 123-10 during our most recent 4 years at Bradley.  Never lost a district game, never lost a district tournament game,  never lost a region tournament game, went to the state tournament (4) years in a row, and won a state championship.

There are a lot of good coaches in this state,  but I wouldn’t trade Reuter for any of them.

could he take a team out of his district like east hamilton and still be considered a great coach or is it the talent that a coach is fortunate to coach?  of course he is a great coach with a great program

Warren will be really good in a couple years but coffee will dominate the next 6 years. Cope is gonna have the record of a god.

the district record of a god but never get out of region. I agree with earlier post that my rebelettes will continue to rebuild and will see where these transfers go. i think coffee will be the team to beat in the district next season and warren will be a close second. why are we playing three times?

I was at the game because my Warren Co girls were at home as usual this time of year. Coffee had a starter/6th girl out with a concussion. They have played 6 all year and this left them with 5. 11-11 end of 1 and then with Coffee up 15-11 Oakland hit 8 straight shots including 4 3's. Coffee could have laid down but they outscored Oakland in the 3rd and 4th and cut it to 3 points with under 30 sec to go. They finish 28-2 only losing to Blackman and Oakland. They played a very tough schedule this year looking at coach t. They played Blackman, White Co., stew creek, summertown, and had riverdale on the schedule as well. They just finished their 3rd straight undefeated 8-AAA regular season including beating your team by 150 points in 2 games. I'm sure glad you will be in our district next year because as bad as we are we will beat you by 30, Warren is getting better and i guess you will still be rebuilding lmao. Worry about your train wreck of a team and leave other teams alone. You prob been sitting in mommies basement waiting on Coffee to lose since December 1. What a joke!!!!! I guess you would bash your team and coach if they won back 2 back undefeated regular season and tournament championships. smh sad little mommies boy got his feelings hurt

i am a woman and mother of three but enjoy the basement comment.  my rebelettes are not very strong and the raiders made sure to prove that this year and it will always come back around to a person like coach cope when you demonstrate that in amateur athletics. do your homework and find out that no team is hundred percent this time of year and the schedule you claim can be misleading.  yes they have won many games and the district has been very weak this past season with no team making it out of the region and the last few years only one has made it very far at all.  coffee county will continue to win a lot of regular season games and district tournaments but not much else as long as the road they travel continues through rutherford county. unfortunately the same can be said for warren franklin and shelbyville.  On a side note I am also glad the pioneers are in our new four team district as I can see some wins in the future for my rebelettes and at the very least we will be going to a region basketball game.  back to my basement now

For whatever reason, it was almost a given to me that JPC wouldn’t win and as I pondered who might, I looked past him on down the line. This is what’s called being a victim of your own success. You are right in saying it’s become so routine that JPC doesn’t get the credit others might. He should have been riding a 3 year COY streak going into this season. Yes, He has had good players along the way, but he has put them in the right spots. I think he has only lost one regular season game in 4 years? CC had been through quite a lengthy dry spell prior to his arrival and it’s hard to dismiss that fact. No one has done it any better in this century in 8AAA.

unfortunately my fc teams still will compete with coffee county in basketball for a few more years in a district that will include warren county and shelbyville.  but can we stop with all the nonsense of coach cope being the next wooden because he does not win in big games as the tournament goes on. when you play weak regular season schedules it catches up with teams down the road as it has with his raider teams.  win regular season games and beat up on rebuilding teams or s small school teams but when it comes to playing a rutherford county or a bradley the story ends very different.  have mvps and coach of the years but they amount to very little when you do not make it out of region play.

It will be Coffee County and Blackman advancing.  And I think CC wins that region.  One name you better look up.....  Bella Vinson.  She is a walking bucket and I can’t believe she isn’t talked about more as one of the top players in the state.

as a franklin county alum and follower of all rebelette sports the vinson girl is a very good high school player in this area. watching my rebelettes play a very good stone memorial team last season and then an impressive webb team earlier this year i do not think she is as good as the those players in this surrounding area.  they do it on both ends of the floor and at a very high level not just scoring. coffee will struggle some in the region with the speed of the murfreesboro teams like they did earlier in the year with blackman. they might advance but bradley blackman and stone memorial are much better from what I have seen but i also saw upperman play in january and thought they were the best team in the state and now they are out.

LOL , Coffee beat riverdale by 25 last year. It was a complete mismatch from start to finish. Bottom line Coffee Co caught a horrible break by Blackman losing in the District tournament last year. Coffee was head and shoulders above everyone else from 7-AAA last year. They lost a 5 point game against Blackman who went on to beat Tullahoma by 40 in the region championship. Talk all you want but Blackman and Coffee were the best 2 teams in the region. Coffee dismantled Tullahoma 3 times during the regular season and got rewarded by having to play a #1 seed. But it is what it is, by far the toughest region/substate in Tennessee. Blackman, Riverdale, Oakland, Stew Creek, Coffee Co, White Co, Stone Memorial, Cookeville, Bredley Central and only 2 can make it to state. It's a shame teams can't be seeded after district tournaments. The goal should be to get the top 8 teams to the boro and that rarely happens.

seen coffee play blackman this year and watched riverdale and it pains me being a rebelette to say the boro schools are just too tough and athletic for coffee.  Blackman could have beat coffee by 60 when they played but the coach is to professional unlike others in this area.  if coffee was good enough to be at state last year then they should of been able to beat blackman last year and anyone that came to their place to play. you been in Winchester and have seen the talent the golden eagles have this area is weak and down right now due to lack of development. my biggest fear with four classes is the talent moving out to tullahoma or huntland from here because the road will be easier to state.  that could also have an impact on Shelbyville and cc where kids have already moved out to tully or webb.

1 of many fouls against Bella 1st period. Coffee Co played 10 girls in the 1st half and played all 12 the 2nd half, including 3rd string the entire 4th period. BTW the 3rd string outscored Franklin Co 16-2 in the 4th. If you wanna see more intentional fouls just go to the article on Thunder Radio.

Summertown w/o starting point guard and could have won ( coulda woulda shoulda I know )  - as you know they are 1A  - I listened to thunder and your coach showed lot of class in compliments to them as did Bella - good luck hope you go far ( at least Murfreesboro not unbeatable this year )

in single a missing one player makes a huge difference. wish I could of seen this game cause I hear summertown has a chance to win it all in class a

The win over Stewarts Creek bodes well for Coffee County.  I wasn't sure if they would be able to handle the athleticism of the Murfreesboro schools.  This could be the year they break through and make the state tournament

were you not there for the blackman game against coffee? sc and blackman are not even close and i was in attendance when they played blackman and cc can not keep up with athletes like that. good win versus summertown but not having a starter in lineup for eagles especially the pg makes a huge difference. cc might be the class of 8aaa but it will end there if play even happens after january.
