that meant nothing. that just means you moved the ball on offense enough to put score them. that does not mean you stopped their run game lol but nice try though

2018 we played Beech twice. They scored 7 in each contest lol. Needless to say they moved the ball very little in those games.

It'll be hard to accumulate ten year's worth of stats, but I'll take the win-loss stat anyday. Beech and Henry County have been the elite of 5A (especially in Middle/West TN) for many years now. We can probably agree that both squads have had to be solid in all three phases of the game to experience the amount of success that they have.

Henry County and Beech for the most part of 10 years have been the ones to go through to get to Cookeville. Two of the best programs in 5A

i just want to see how they’ve played against beech the pat 10 years. Mr. Hurd may be the top of the bunch but there’s been a plethora of great backs to come through that beech program. you said they have a “history” of shutting down great backs. i just want to see what that “history” lines up against truly great run teams vs just decent ones.

Must be pretty good because we hold the advantage over Beech 5-4 in head to head matchups since 2011.

Amazing how one little ole word like "quiet" can ruffle so many feathers. The history of Henry County Defenses has accomplished keeping run-oriented offenses Quiet. Yes, there are occasions when this may not have been true. (Jaylen Hurd's 5,000 yard rushing night in Paris comes to mind). But, overall, Henry County's rush defense has been smothering. This fact has attributed to the numerous deep playoff runs and two gold balls over the last 15 years. And, once again, this will be a fact tonight. (54-0)

5,000 yard rushing night :roflolk: I remember that night very well lol

there are others I can’t think of, but this is a good start to a list  of fine running backs to wear the Blue and orange

You see a lot of times you weren’t staring at 1 in particular but a host of running back by committee

Yes I forgot about Jesean Parks omg. That kid was a baller too. What year was he at Beech? Wasnt that long ago.

    34-24 HC

Do you really honestly think Brighton will hold Henry County to 34? And you think an almost run always offense will score 24 on Henry County? Man, you havent been paying attention lately. I told one guy earlier this year this and I will tell you the same. I hope you show back up here after Friday night. Lol.

I will say that outside of 2012, when Beech had over 500 rushing (but there’s no Jalen Hurd visiting Paris anytime soon) HC has done much better against Beech RBs than most.

We normally have a dang good rush defense over the years. Tysean is one I'm worried about this year IF we should meet again this year. That boy is nice. Speed for days!

Henry County has a history of keeping "great" backs quiet. Especially when the offense is as one dimensional as Brighton's. With no passing game, there's no way to keep the Patriot defense honest. The 28 point spread is generous to the Cardinals.

I guess we will just have to show it on the field....its going to happen I guarantee it. At least 28 points.

    LOL.

Hey there’s a strong chance HC runs away with it, but Brighton is better than y’all are giving them credit for. And that RB will have his moments. I just think it’s a closer game than y’all will admit

I am confident Henry County wins by at least 28. If I'm wrong I'm willing to put it all on the line and I will retire as a poster on Coach T! #ConfidentNotCocky #PuttingMyMoneyWhereMyMouthIs

You haven't heard of them for two reasons (1) they are not a Knoxville area team and that is all you will hear about from East Tennessee and (2) they have not consistently won football games.  They have always been a team that could surprise other teams though.  I would not see this as an upset if they were to win - but more as a validation that there are good teams in 5A that are not located in or around Knoxville

From this side of the state that would be a HUGE upset being that most everyone has West winning state.

  12. I'm from West TN and to be honest I never even heard of Walker Valley. It sounds like it would be an amazing underdog story though to take out Powell and West in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs. No disrespect to any West fans at all but from a neutral poster on this thread it would be pretty amazing.
