Danielson, good game. It takes a while to get the other umpires off to their next game. I thought I was going to be behind the plate but one of you num nuts turned me in so I got moved to the field. Then I got so hot and confused I made the worst call in the history of baseball. We had a double play and in my state of confusion, I hosed my own team. I will be under a bonsai tree praying for forgiveness. As for the hit 1-9 BS you num nuts were claiming TCA does. What a joke. 6,7,8,9 cannot hit good pitching and it was evident today. They were 1 for 10 as a group with 5Ks. That is a .100 batting average striking out 1/2 the time. Last I would like to apologize to the Grace family for my terrible call on that double play which handed the game to TCA.

Danielson, I believe you (when i see it). Surely you understand why I might not have 100% faith in you. I mean, you stated that a H.S. baseball team (TCA) hits 1-9. I mean that in and of itself is reason to doubt you. You also stated that TCA was rich/deep in pitching- I mean how could they not be-they threw a 4th grader or 7th grader last night against a bad team with a 9 run lead. Listen, i stand by what I said. If you lose at 12:30 then go to your room and see if they will let you check out without paying for tonight.

I think you are wrong. Let’s go through this step by step because it could be over in the blink of an eye. The only way TCA avoids going home today is by winning the 1st game today. They cannot beat us with any of the arms I saw last night except for the starter (#1). I doubt they have a guy better than him. Now about the hitting guru that stated TCA hits 1-9. Are you kidding me? Do you actually believe you have more than 3 kids that can hit front line pitching? You DO NOT. Yes they can hit 74-77, but my friend they cannot hit 1-9. I will end with this. The loser of our game is done. Neither team can hit Loretto’s #1. Dude pitched 50 something innings and gave up 1 run all year. That’s 2 games against Summertown and the rest 3A TN schools and 7A schools in AL. INTENSE you are not seriously thinking you can hit 93-94 mph with a 4 pitch mix.

Format change ? When we beat you tomorrow, or if , then the one of us has to play the winner of US-JC & Loretto at 5 tomorrow evening. I predict Loretto winning in the morning without throwing their 1 and then beating you tomorrow evening with their 1 on the mound. Thus my previous statement... As much as I would love to say we will win it all I am realistic. However i will say this. If we beat TCA tomorrow at 12:30 and I believe that we will (easily I might add) because i believe they will run one of those everyday H.S. pitchers out against us like Loretto.

For those wondering... I talked to Loretto’s fans and they threw their 4,5, & 6 pitchers to their disbelief. Bright side for them is their 1,2, & 3 haven’t thrown a pitch.

ReitzFan, splash around in that victory against the worst team in the tourney (oh how nice it is to throw freshman and such non-sense). Here is your dilemma... You play a real team tomorrow @ 12:30 and if you don’t win then you are done.

Danielson, i told you Grace would win Game 1 today. Now like i predicted we will run out of pitching after we mop the floor with TCA tomorrow.

We lost 16 but played the toughest schedule according to the metrics of this site. Do you think we lost all those games with our #1 pitcher or even # 2 on the mound? You need to study up on the best pitchers in TN. You will find out very quickly that Loretto may have the best. Just look at Summertown, they struck out 30 times in the 2 games he pitched against them. Many people are picking Summertown to be in the championship.

You say that as if all #1 pitchers on any HS staff are created equal just because they have the label ace. I know TCA has a good #1 but Loretto’s #1 is at another level. The dude gave up 1 run all year averaging over 2K per inning. I don’t think they will waste him on us but if TCA gets him, I bet they don’t score.

Danielson-Danielson, if i recall GCpioneer initiated this small scuffle by saying and i quote... “TCA is the better team in my opinion.” I simply called his opinion out and gave numbers to show he is probably wrong. Now I am calling you out for running to his side. Let him talk for himself. One more thing, I picked Grace to beat Loretto in game 1 but I am not naive enough to think they can win it all. Could not care less who does really if Grace does not.

I do agree with you on one thing. TCA and Loretto can beat anyone in any given day including 3A. As a matter of fact with the right pitcher on the mound they would be favored against any 3A team.

At least take a minute to look over the numbers from the 2 games that Overstreet pitched (1 against Loretto & 1 against TCA) before saying something ridiculous like the bottom of Loretto’s was overwhelmed. Oversteet vs Loretto (6 2/3 IP, 11 H , 1 BB, 1 HBP, 7 R, 2 K) Two strikeouts over 6 2/3 does not in any way resemble hitters being overwhelmed. Overstreet vs TCA (5 IP, 7 H, 1 BB, 0 HBP, 0 R, 7 K) Seven strikeouts in 5 innings indicates TCA hitters may have been overwhelmed.
