  1. I feel like you could definitely see there was talent there and big play making ability. They had isolated moments of great plays, and I feel like their players looked like they could play. Just couldn’t get it together
  2. So, I’m not a football expert. Just a fan, and not early as knowledgeable as many of you so I’m not sure how helpful my response will be. I saw both of HVA’s scrimmages because my nephew plays for them. HVA was clearly dominant in both scrimmages (against Halls and William Blount). I think they are strong at the QB position, and strong at D line. I think their relative weaknesses are O line and maybe the secondary. #7 for HVA is very fast and very quick. If he gets to the outside, he can be a problem. The have some good receivers who can make plays. I think HVA has a solid chance against OR. That being said, I haven’t seen OR scrimmage and I wouldn’t place a lot of importance on what happened with Maryville in regards to this game. I don’t have a real prediction but I do think that the new OC at HVA was a great hire and will get them right. OR always comes to play tho and in past years, HVA tended to have problems with them so we shall see...
  3. HVA and WB scrimmaged in a game like fashion. 4 ten minute quarters. It ran pretty dang close to a real game situation with the exception of some special teams plays being routinely blown dead to protect players. They kept score and it was 49-21 HVA. Most or all of WB points came in the second half when second string guys got in. WB starters had some really nice plays on both sides of the ball but never seemed able to really make a drive of it.
  4. Don’t remember the exact score but HVA was pretty good against WB. Score was like..49-14- something like that. All of WB’s points seemed to come when HVA started rotating in backups. I think HVA scores once with backups playing. WB looked like they had some nice plays, on both sides of the ball, they just weren’t ever able to sustain a good drive (with the 1’s in on both sides). HVA looked good. Weakness may be O line. QB looked pretty good.
  5. I’m hearing 6:00 for Friday
  6. I have not, but I will try to find out and post back here as soon as I know!
  7. HVA was at Halls tonight and looked good against them. They seemed fairly dominant. HVA will scrimmage William Blount next Friday, I believe.
  8. Farragut: Matt White #20 - he can run, he can catch, he can defend the pass, and if ever needed, he’s got a great arm. He’s a great all around athlete Eli Purcell # 8- outside linebacker. Fast, strong, aggressive and always gives 100%. Very smart and disciplined. D1 size and talent
  9. Also I believe Hardin valley is scrimmaging on the 2nd and the 9th???? Not sure who the opponents are or where.
  10. Farragut august 8th v Cookeville august 15th v Greenville august 16th jamboree v Fulton
