It should be a good game. I think Betsy will be a lot stronger than some people are hoping for. The looses from graduation hurt, but they are still loaded with good football players. The battle will be in the line of scrimmage Friday night as both teams are strong up front. The show will be Science's Hill's O-line vs. Betsy's D-line. It should be a heck of a battle. I'll go with Betsy 23-16.

I doubt Betsy will move to 5A. Betsy should be pretty strong for at least a couple more years, but I think moving to 5A would be a tall order even as talented as they are. But looking at the 4A schools for next year, I don't see how the Region 1 conference will be set up. I only see 5 teams unless I'm missing someone.

I have thought all season that the Cyclone run D was their strength. You have to realize that they play a lot with only 5 guys truly in the box. Their Will LB and outside backer are in coverage and in more of a support role for run D. It's kinda of a bend but don't break approach. It puts a lot of pressure on the MLB to make plays. It has worked well for them so far. Springfield looks to have some terrific playmakers at the QB and TB positions, so Betsy better be ready to try and contain them as best they can. I think Elizabethton is peaking at the right time. They are a long way from where they were early in the season. They looked terrible in some pre season scrimmages. I think one reason they have continued to improve is because they are so young. They had to get better. They should be strong for another 3 years at least. I think one thing that has improved more than anything is their line backer play. The Cyclone LB's are players. They are playing so much better this year than in any time in the past several years. #20 is an absolute stud. He gets off blocks better than any high school LB I've seen. I still think an above average passing team would give them fits. Hopefully, we won't see any big time passing teams going forward.

I think this will be a hard hitting old style football game. My heart wants to pick Betsy but I'm not sure they can get it done. If the weather is a factor, I think it would favor Greeneville. Good luck to both teams and I hope the winner brings home a gold ball. Greeneville 28 Betsy 17

Do those not count? These teams are fairly even talent wise and despite Greenville's recent dominance, I would think the game will be pretty close and could go either way. Both teams are still making a lot of mistakes.

This game could be a lot closer than most GreenDevils are comfortable with, but I think they pull it out. Greeneville-31 Science Hill- 20
