Our youth league is pretty strong, probably would give Westmoreland High School all they wanted.

What would be different this year compared to the past years we have played you guys...lol.

You very well may be correct.....but that would not be the case if we played you guys. The only way Westmoreland would beat us by 4 touchdowns is if we spotted you guys a 7 touchdown lead at the start of the game. You really should consider being an LA fan if things are that bad up in your neck of the woods....

I was at the scrimmage and you and I both know who would win in a head to head if played in the regular season. We may get beat 3 touchdowns but it will be by LA not Westmoreland. Say what you will but you know the truth.

To my knowledge you are a Westmoreland supporter.....do you guys even have a football program anymore?

This will be our first home game of the year as well as homecoming for our seniors. Hog Eye is a good football team and this will be a difficult match up for the Owls. I think we keep it closer than most think but get beat by 2 touchdowns. 42-28.

Croz, you guys get back some of your injured players tonight?

I guess our York friends agree that the Owls will be flying high in Jamestown Friday night...since they are as quite as a York fan sneaking through" hog eye" country.

I say Owls win by at least 14.

This one will be ugly quick.

Really should be a great game. I was impressed with Upperman and there coaching staff this past Friday night. The kids were very disciplined and I was really impressed with the sportsmanship they showed.

Typically parents refer to daddy ball when there kid in most cases is not getting the playing time the parent feels there kid deserves. 2,3,and 4 are obvious play makers if you watch them and have put in a ton of time this summer to get bigger and stronger. I would not call it daddy ball I would call it getting the ball to your playmakers so you have the best chance to win, but hey I am about playing to win not rewarding for just putting a jersey on.

SC may not be able to beat the bees but I think it will be closer than some think. Our skilled players are good and our lines are improving. This is a big game in this region and should be a great high school football atmosphere. My gut says Owls by 7 but my heart says the bees should win.

Game time getting closer. I have talked to several parents on both sides who are nervous and excited. Fun times and beautiful weather and a great high school football rivalry. Go Owls....

It had went away, but I do believe it will be coming back, even as soon as tonight.

I fell the same about welcome to the jungle. How about that Croz...lol. You think it will be well attended this year. I may have to be out of town but if not I plan on being there at 6pm. You think I will find a seat at the jungle?

Hoping for a good game with a large crowd. Bond fires are set and SCHS usually will play I've got the tiger by the tail in between classes on Friday. Hope for a good game with the Owls coming out on top. SCHS-20,GHS-13.

I think at this point it will take winning to get the program back to what it was. Even our fans and the band are not what they used to be. Sounds silly, but in the Maynard days we had one of the best fan bases around. Our kids would thrive off the support and the accountability that Maynard instilled in them. Coach Murray ,I think, can get us back but it may take some time. As fans and parents we need to support the kids and coaching staff and lets see what happens. It will take a great effort from our Owls to beat Gville but I think we pull it out 21 to 13. SCP.

Looks like a possible chance of rain tomorrow. Croz's prayers may be answered to slow down the Watertown run game.

I never understood why White County High school football always seemed to struggle. They have what appears to be a quality youth program and athletes , at least on the basketball team.

I am not sure about a 4.4 kid on the field unless is was the tail back from Watertown..lol. But I will tell you a thought DeKalb looked pretty good . I thought they where the hardest hitting team of the 4 I seen Friday. Gordonsville's line did not play well which made DeKalb look really good at times, but they look like a solid football team to me.

Watertown looked pretty dang good, especially there skilled players. There line looked average at times but will get better I would think every game. I hope Gville can block for there QB and give him a little time. I hope Gville can keep it close but if they can not contain Watertown's run game it could be bad.

Should be a good game, but Smith County will find a way to win.

Big loss for Gville athletics for sure. Glad that Pat and the others will continue doing something that we as high school football fans probably take for granted at times.
