Good luck to the DeKalb boys. Coach Sanders may not like it but I hope he has to wait at least one more week before his football boys return to the hardwood.

Good to see Watertown, G-ville, and DeKalb still playing into the 3rd round. I guess most of us thought Watertown would be the only local team still hanging around. I wish them all the best of luck and hope there bball season is pushed out one more week. These 3 schools are close to each other by the way the bird flies and to still see them still playing is great. Best of Luck to all 3 of these schools this weekend.

I really hate what you are saying for your kids. Pretty commendable that your son would play through what he has. Good luck to him in his military career. It sounds like he has the mental and physical toughness to serve our country well.

Passionate fans make high school football fun. I say we win by 7. I do think it has the makings to be a great game. I hope a wet field in not a factor but regardless it will be the same conditions for both teams.

I cannot believe you still holding on to this, No one in the state thought you guys would or could beat Watertown. I believe they beat you guys 30 plus points. You could play them 10 more times and H2O would win every time.

To say Smith County has no chance is crazy. That is like you pretty much saying you guys were better than Watertown other than the score. It would not matter if we beat you guys by 50 you would still blame it on the refs and say your kids are better.....Wake up, it is DeKalb County football. You are correct, we have probably beat the teams we should and have lost to the teams we should, but you act like you guys are world beaters at home. The reason is obvious because you have played bad teams at home. I guess you guys would have beat LA if you played in Smithville. Come on man.

I don't bet and those home games you are talking about were against a down Stone Memorial, Grundy, and Cannon. I will agree it has the makings to be a good game but I do not see you guys pulling away in the 3rd. The Owls played one of there better games Friday and are improving weekly but it can be hard to get motivated to go to Smithville to play a football game.

Smith County in a close one. The Owls win 28-20. I know DeKalb does not have a great record but they looked like a solid team in the jamboree. Maybe they have been battling injuries or something but they will play us hard ,we pick up another win in a close one. BTW, congrats to our kicker who barely missed around a 45 yarder and hit another field goal late in the game.

I have noticed that, I also noticed that the eagles up that way have resorted to road kill because they are unable to live on there hunting skills alone. Crazy place up there.

Livingston has a great team this year that beat us all over the field. Livingston, not Westmoreland. Congrats on that big time win Friday night.
