  1. City will be ready for this one! Even if Medlen is out for a few games, Kool Aid Clark is dangerous both on the ground and now through the air. The 40+ yard throw he made last week was a thing of beauty! Fayetteville has faced some adversity and responded when they had to. I understand Cornersville is a good team, but this one is going to be played on Tiger hill. Coach Morson will have the Tigers ready to fight hard, and it may come down to a battle of who has the best defense. In that case, and edge to the Tigers. W by 7.
  2. The Tigers should have the edge in this one, mainly because of their defense. Their offense has the ability to strike fast, also, as you know, especially with Kool Aid and Mello. The biggest thing in their way right now that concerns me is keeping their head on straight and focused from distractions since it is homecoming, and correcting penalties (15 vs. Moore County!)
  3. South Pittsburg has been a power for quite a few years, and Fayetteville is 4-0 after a 1-9 season, so there is a lot of season left for a few stumbles. So, you're probably correct there. However, the fact that they have righted the course so quickly is a tribute to the talent and the current coaching staff. There's little doubt in my mind that Fayetteville is a program to watch in the years to come.
  4. I do not know enough about Moore County to offer an opinion on them, but as the voice of the Fayetteville Tigers on the radio, I am very familiar with them. With a few players from Fayetteville being hobbled a bit before last week's game with Mt. Pleasant, I was pretty concerned. However, with the defensive play I see out of Fayetteville, it is going to take a pretty strong effort to beat them. Plus, hopefully Kool Aid Clark will be back this week, and maybe the QB Medlen will have a chance to heal up some. The Tigers have averaged a 21 point margin of victory, so if things go by the average, your prediction should hold up.
  5. With Jacaious Clark being out of the lineup, who is Fayetteville's biggest quick-strike threat, and starting QB and running back banged and bruised, I was pretty concerned about this one. However, these boys from Fayetteville stepped it up and played great! This team is definitely turning some heads in 1-A, and I just hoe they keep playing hungry!
  6. The Fayetteville defense has been very good this year, but will be tested. This looks to be a brawl versus two very good teams, and I am excited to see it. Coach Morson at Fayetteville brought most of his staff from Decatur with him, and they have a good chemistry. Mount Pleasant is very dangerous, though, with their ability to make explosive plays on offense.
